We felt safe and comfortable. Our waitress and the host were attentive, the food was fabulous. I have a soft post for the gorgonzola alfredo; my husband had the chicken marsala.. We were in town for a horse show and the Waterstone Grill was right near out hotel. The menu was very diverse so there was something for everyone. Even the kids found something. The first night we had reservations but enjoyed it so much we went back the next night - the night before a Bills game - without reservations and we were seated immediately. Their garlic butter sauce was superb I followed it up with a slice of their lemon cake which was even tastier, if that's even possible. FANTASTIC ! Started out with the lobster bisque soup !! Unbelievable! I had the Chicken Marsala . She had the NY strip steak . Chicken was cooked to perfection. Sauce was AMAZING. Waterstone Grill is always good every time we go, but never great. I would compare it to a Pasquales. Little better than casual, but not quite dress-fancy high end. Yes, they have steak, seafood, salads, sandwiches, wine, and a full bar. I believe they specialize in Martinis as they always have cool special holiday martinis. They start you off with 1 roll per person at your table. The roll is a typical dinner roll, their butter is nice and soft as I like it. I really wish they gave you more bread...but for the sake of my pant size, I'm okay with the one roll per person. Not to mention, you can ask for more if you want them. The salad that you get with your entrée is tiny and consists of only arugula greens, 2 slices of cucumber, 2 grape tomatoes and some croutons. Very blah. However, I would recommend their raspberry vinaigrette... that is sooo delicious! Their prices are a little high for the amount of food you receive. We ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer $13 (from their specials menu). It was good, but would be better priced at $10. My husband ordered the chicken Tzatziki which he said was good...but not worth $18 and would have been tasted better with beef vs. the chicken which they do not have as an option. I ordered the Broiled fish with shrimp and scallops which I think was priced fine at $22. Both meals came with rice pilaf and vegetable medley which seems to be a standard for most of their entrees. Both sides were pretty good. It seems like a good place for co-workers to get together for a couple after-work drinks. Although I cant speak on whether they have drink specials. The restaurant does remind me of a hotel restaurant which probably makes sense since there are several hotels in the area and I'm sure it's frequented by businessmen. Overall, we will be back because we live so close and there are almost always coupons available for $5-$10 off... however, if we lived further away, It wouldn't be my first choice. (P.S. Had dinner here last Tuesday evening upon the recommendation of the receptionist of the inn where I spent the night, which was only about a quarter mile away from this restaurant. It turned out to be an excellent dinner experience. Sarah was my waitress and she was a pleasure to interact with and made me feel welcome, even though I arrived less than an hour from closing time. I enjoyed a bowl of delicious French onion soup with a citrusy IPA, followed by a hefty grilled chicken salad, with a full chicken breast grilled and sliced and nicely caramelized with a spicy sauce. The salad was fresh and crunchy and I asked for a blue cheese dressing which was brought as requested on the side, and it was very good. Our group of ladies decided to go to Waterstone because of its location for members of party. Several of us have been there and recommended it. Yesterday, Waterstone out did themselves. One member of our party was late and Judy our waitress had no problem it. When we Ordered , The prime rib and strawberry salads were so yummy. The peach pie and lemon cake topped off our meal....delish!!! The manager who greeted us and arrange our table was friendly and funny and helped relax the lady who got lost. We were spending the night in Hamburg to break up a long drive and wanted something that we could walk to. Waterstone exceeded our (admittedly low) expectations. The food was quite good (black and bleu salad for me, French dip for my son, fried calamari to share, local beers) -- the calamari were spicy, and the meats were perfectly cooked. I couldn't go with a 4.5 star rating so I had to up this to a 5 star - but it's a weak 5 star rating, but certainly worthy of it. A four star would just be too low. There is plenty of parking here - easy in and out - great location and though we didn't have a reservation on a busy night - they still managed to get us a table within a few minutes - though I strongly suggest calling ahead for reservations! We come here often to take advantage of their specials - half price bottles of wine on Wednesdays and $49 dinner for two. On our most recent visit we started in the bar with our bottles of vino to gab and exchange Christmas gifts. A charming young man named Mike took excellent care of us, buzzing between servicing the bar and the handful of bistro tables next to the cozy fireplace. He kept the white wines on ice and refilled our glasses as needed. On to our table in the dining room, where another charming young man also named Mike proceeded to take equally good care of us. Three of the four of us ordered steak, which they seem to order most often, so it must be good, right? Even though there are always a few interesting specials, I fall back on my favorite pasta dish - spinach, roasted red peppers, gorgonzola alfredo sauce, minus the beef it usually comes with. SO good. Been here a number of times for lunch too, which we've always enjoyed. Their caesar salad is one of my favorites. The place is nicely decorated. Warm colors. Subdued lighting. Interesting decorative pieces here and there. And they always change it up for holidays. Major bonus points for the well maintained ladies room. We were in town for a business trip and the restaurant was recommended to us. We didn't have a reservation, but it was next to our hotel. We waited less than 10 minutes at the bar before Glen sat us at a table. He was so personable and checked on us several times during our meal. Ryan, our waiter was amazing. Very attentive to our needs. Our glasses were never empty, the food was spaced out from salads to appetizer to meal to dessert! We were there a bit later and never felt pressured to leave. We had questions on some of the food, and the recommendations from Ryan were outstanding! The service was the best service we have had in a very long time, and we frequent restaurants. We love the food but tonite they didn't have it together, we got there for our 7:00pm reservations and we ordered our food immediately with our drink order, we received our soup but waited, waited and waited for our food it still did not come by 8:30pm. Our waitress kept telling us our food would be right out several times. We finally had enough got up and decided to leave. We saw our waitress on the way out and again she told us our food would be out. We said we are done waiting this long. We also decided to tell the host he could have cared less. I was staying at the Red Roof Inn next door and just wanted something light and healthy because I've been out on the road for a while now. I ordered the first salad on the menu (and the most expensive) which wasn't what I expected. There were no greens; it was more like an Italian Caprese with tomatoes, onion, mozzarella, and pesto. It was ok I guess. I sat at a small table in the bar area. The bar looked really nice and fully stocked. I thought about coming back later for drinks, but didn't make it. I had one glass of cabernet which was really good. It cost about $6 or $7. It has nice atmosphere. Just be prepared to drop some dough. Hopefully, someone can write a review for you soon who has actually tried the steak or seafood. read more

Had dinner yesterday. Wife had 3 Cheese Lobster Macaroni. Was a little dry and not like you would expect Mac & cheese to be. It was more like a pasta dish with cheese baked on top. Waitress said they sell a ton of this. My wife said she would not order it again. You might like it? I had the Mediteranian Seafood Linguini. Excellent sauce, but way too much sauce and not enough pasta. When finished, it was like I had a bowl of soup left in my pasta dish. The seafood was excellent and so was the sauce. I would order this again, but would tell the chef to cut back on the sauce and be a little more generous with the pasta. Prices were moderate, 16-20 dollars for the meals with salad and bread. A high end meal. It is all steaks, seafood, and a small amount of chicken dishes. No burgers and fries here. Don't trust the online menu. Some in are group have food allergies and checked the menu ahead of time but when we got there the menu was completely different and navigating was difficult. That is the biggest issue we had. The food was good and all six of us loved our meals (3 diffract steak, 2 seafood, and one chicken dish). Spinach artichoke dip was good and the deserts were amazing. The service was quick, polite, and observant. He was on top of pouring the wine and refilling water. He was just the right amount of silly. You see, my mother-in-law recommended I try this place and lets just say she isn't known for having sterling restaurant recommendations. While eating dinner at the last place she took us I politely leaned over to my wife and mentioned that I half expected Gordon Ramsey to burst through the door and say "shut it down!" I half heartedly tried this place expececting the worst. Truth be told it wasn't that bad. However, I had the fish fry and per my previous point, its pretty tough to screw that up. There decorations are out of this world. They really know how to decorate for Christmas. I had the Bourbon Frenched Pork Chop the bourbon sauce was tasty. The sauce had apples and caramelized onions. Yummy. For dessert I had the peanut better pie that was just ok, I don't think they make the pie in house. The host when you walk in was very friendly and welcoming.
