Small basic Wawa, nothing too crazy, and one of the ones that they had back before the super Wawa with gas pumps and whatnot. Parking lot is small but the couple times I've been here the people have been nice, and they were carrying what I needed. Special shout out that they usually have the Herald local paper, which is a great resource and you can't always find. The usually have the Ocean City local paper too (in addition to others like the Philadelphia Inquirer and NY Times), if you're in town visiting. read more

I'm giving this Wawa two stars for one reason and one reason alone.... it is in a horrible location. Sure, about 15-20 years ago, it was in a great place. But that was when Ocean City had a plethora of markets. Flash forward to 2023; Wawa has become a household name throughout the region, and there are only so many places people will go to get their fix of... whatever it may be (coffee, sandwiches, snacks, etc.). Try navigating through this parking lot, let alone street block. It may be virtually impossible. I would be very interested in finding out how many accidents there are at this intersection on average compared to other streets in Ocean City. The best possible thing to happen is for this location to close and a new, bigger location be built somewhere in town. That would save so many headaches. read more

A TOTAL NIGHTMARE!!! On Feb 15th, 2022 I order a cheese hoagie with let, tom and oil. Within 30 minutes I was VIOLENTLY ILL (from both ends). This lasted for 4-6 hours. I contacted WaWa CS. 2 days later they respond with this offer, "sorry. we are sending u a $10 e-card....". NOW, the $$$ is NOT what Im looking for, and I told them that. They took this ISSUE so lightly, then emailed with an apology. They then said that WITHIN 5 business days they would have their RISK MANAGEMENT team reach out to me. WELL, never happened. I went to this location with my boyfriend and his brother. We ordered food, went to pick out drinks, and then paid. There was no one in the store at this time except us. The manager, Steven, was intentionally making our food at the speed of a snail. Finally, he finished making one sandwich (which took 15 minutes) and threw in our face. He said he's done with our order, which he wasn't. We still had one more sandwich to go. He made that for us and we left immediately. This was terrible service and the behavior should not be coming from a manager of foodservice. Wawa should either fire or demote him. read more

NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE from the parking to the inventory. The parking lot is tiny and always cramped, just save yourself the headache and bike or park on the street. When I went in I ordered an iced chai tea and received NO ICE in my drink.. very disappointing. The iced chai tea tasted good but the keyword is ICED and unfortunately once I went into the 90 degree heat it just went warm and disgusting. The hoagies are made well; however, they often run out of things quickly. Super busy in the summer and they always seem to be understaffed behind the sandwich counter during the lunch hours. Food is just as good as the other Wawa's though, and the cashiers work quickly to keep their lines moving. Bottom line: if you're coming here for lunch and have a limited time to wait/eat, order and pay fast, or risk waiting 10-15 minutes. It's a close race between which Ocean City Wawa has a worse parking situation, this one or the one on 34th St. Walk here if you can and save yourself the trouble of navigating the parking lot. read more

Just to clarify, this is basically a higher-end 7-11. That said, this is one of the best places to grab a bite to eat on the island. I'd rather eat a Chicken Parm from wawa than a burger or chicken sandwich from McDonalds, Burger Kind or even Wendy's. Plus they take credit cards! WaWa is normally my favorite place to go. I ordered a breakfast bowl. I was waiting quite a few minutes and many numbers were called that were way past my number. I went up to the girl making orders and asked her politely if I missed my order as my number should have been called a long time ago.
