After 3 years I think it's time I update my review! I've got ONE thing to say: AMAZING. I LOVE Jenn, she's truly the absolute BEST at what she does and will make you feel so comfortable during what could be a little awkward for some people. Funny story, my friends wanted me to try sugaring (I'm a forever wax type of person) but they insisted so much that I finally gave In...I went somewhere else (not Jenn) to try sugaring and it was THE WORST PAIN OF MY LIFE. I was bawling my eyes out and it took over THIRTY minutes to do! NEVER AGAIN!! So, I just saw Jenn on Wednesday after that awful sugaring experiment I had a few months ago and it was HEAVEN. I am very happy to have found this place! My skin is very sensitive and I am always scared. I've had amazing results and the wax Jenn uses has been very gentle on my skin. I've tried various waxing places in the OC and had not had much luck until now. Some places hurt my skin and others just had bad customer service. Came here for the first time today, Jennifer is so sweet and friendly! This was my second Brazilian wax but first time with Jennifer. My first wax was elsewhere and was hard wax, this is a soft wax which let me tell you is much better! It was less painful than the hard wax, and my skin felt less irritated afterwards. This was my first time getting a Brazilian wax. I am also new to the area, so what better way to find a good Esthetician than through a Groupon! Making an appointment was easy, I filled out the form online and Jennifer called me back the very next morning and was able to fit me in the same day. She was very friendly and down to earth. I can tell she was trying to distract me by making conversations (thank you for that!) or maybe she's just real friendly! Either way, she talked and walked me through it. She forewarned me when it'll be a little more painful than other. She did exactly what was described on her website. She does not reuse anything! a Clean full strip and stick each time. Jenn is AMAZING! I have been getting Brazilians and a verity of other waxing for 7+ years, and she is probably one of the best aestheticians I've been to. I had a bad experience before with strip wax and was not super happy that the one place (with really good reviews) I found in Irvine only uses strip wax (instead of hard). However, Jenn definitely changed my views on strip wax. I dont know what Jenn does, but it's honestly painless when I get my Brazilian done and the hair grows back slower then when I'd get waxed with hard wax. It is pretty quick too (like you could go during your lunch out and be back w/ time to spare if you worked close by). She is really responsive and will always try to work with you to get you an appointment. I thought I wouldn't even spend the time to come here to write a terrible review but it was so terrible that I wouldn't want anyone else to experience the same thing. I made appointments for both me and sister. I have done waxing twice but my sister has never done waxing before. I just moved to Irvine and my sister came here to visit. It was both our first time here at Wax me Pretty. We got to Tustin market place 10 min before our appointment but we had trouble finding the place so I message Jennifer(I believe that's her name) and ask about location. She responded and said you could have get here earlier if you knew you need time to figure out where it is. She was rude on giving instructions. When we get there, she was again very impatient and rude rushing us to take off the clothes immediately so she can do it quickly. The whole process was super painful. Especially for my sister whose doing this for the first time. Both of us were sweating so much because it hurts so much. She ripped the hair quickly and not caring too much about how we were feeling. I did it first and I tried to start a conversation to calm my sister when she was doing it. But Jennifer was rude to us didn't seem interested in talking. We went in and out within 20 min. Hair was not cleaned up completely. I was bleeding and my sister felt her bottom was burning. It was the worst experience ever and this place totally doesn't deserve any good review. We didn't appreciate the service at all and wouldn't ever recommend any of our friends to come here. Plus after I told my experience to one of my friend, she said she actually did it once there before and her experience was terrible too...I doubt if those positive reviews were true... read more
