Cashier asked around about the special and hey said they don't sell cheesesteaks ‍ huh??? I showed them the ad on Facebook and the guy was like "oh, that's another location." Its what you would expect, another high priced burger joint... but the staff was super friendly and my burger was fresh & juicy. The ground beef they use is not frozen but actual hamburger rolled into balls and then flattened on the grill. The fries are whatever but the burger is the reason to come. Dubbed it "Not Goin' Back Burger." We let the opening weekend hype of the place die down a bit as we'd tried to eat there once before, but the line was to the door and their seating is very awkward - only 4 tables for groups of more than two. No wait, there was a 5th larger table but somebody in their staff appears to have set it up as his or her "office" w/ paperwork and laptop on it. When we went back, they were more than adequately staffed, with around 13 people behind the counter despite that there were only several other tables occupied. The gal who took our order was very friendly but didn't seem to understand how the menu worked, which resulted in our burgers not having the toppings on them that the menu listed as standard, just the optional ones that we requested. The food came out very quickly, unlike other reviews saying otherwise. But it was just okay; nothing extraordinary about it. I would've been happier with Burger King down the road (clean, quick, friendly, and way cheaper.) We were interrupted at least 4 times while we were eating by no less than 4 different members of their staff asking how everything was with very upbeat, smiley attitudes. It was very nice of them, but after the 2nd time, I almost wanted to be honest and just say, "not so great." There comes a point when you just want to chow and converse with your table and move on. I'm glad that there is a new restaurant in this particular location in Braselton, as I've seen so many different joints come and go there over the years and I wish Wayback Burger all the best (although I really think we need some Greek or Vietnamese around here personally...) but if I want a fast burger, I'll stick with Burger King, and if I want a restaurant burger, I'll stick with Houndstooth or Jeffrey's in the same shopping complex. read more

The food never disappoints. But the last 4 times that I have been here the soda is always out and they don't have more. I was just huuuuuuuuuungry on my way home from my errands so I stopped by! I ordered the bacon burger with mushrooms and a side of homemade chips; I spent 11 dollars. I remember waiting more than a while for my lunch because I know when I wait that long, I began to stare at my phone hard. The waiter brought my food to the wrong table, but I knew it was mine because of the mushrooms on the bacon burger, not a big deal. The plate had my burger, but I didn't get my chips. I thought it would come by quick so I started eating. The burger was good, but I prefer other quick burger stops like my Five Guys and Burger 21. The burger was a bit greasy, but it's a burger after all. Like I said, tasted good, but I prefer other places that make good food at sweet prices. The chips came late after I finished my burger. This was the first time wasting at Wayback Burger, and it will be the last time. There were quite a few issues: 1. It took over a half hour to get the food. We ordered a cheese steak, a patty melt with no sauce, and a Cheeeesy with bacon added on. It shouldn't have taken that long to get an order up at a fast food joint. 2. My mother ordered the patty melt without the sauce. When we finally got the food, they sauce was slathered all over her patty melt. At the time the food came, we had no time to continue eating. We had to head home to meet the kids getting off the school bus. We asked them to pack it to go and we took off. They didn't fix the issue with the sauce on the sandwich, they took it back and scraped a bit of it off. How disgusting is that? If you screw up and order, you fix it. Needless to say, she threw the patty melt in the trash. The cheesy with bacon was also taken to go. When we got home, the extra bacon had magically disappeared. The meat appears to have shrunk. The bun to meat ratio had to be close to 2:1. No bueno. The cheese steak was mine. The flavor was okay but the majority of the meat wasn't between the bread buns. It was a mess, but the flavor was okay. I was really disappointed in this place and I won't be going back. Two words: WAFFLE HOUSE. That's what this place reminds me of, mostly due to the cleanliness and employees. Is it clean? Sorta. The drink station could use a definite power wash. The bathrooms need some attention. The corners of the floor need to be addressed. The employees - lady at the register was nice enough. The guy that was there (I'm assuming he's the manager) was less than friendly, but not rude. The food - order a burger and fries at the Waffle House and this is what you get. A bit greasy, but good. The one thing that sets this place apart is the milkshakes. They were really good - tried the mud pie, cookies & cream, and strawberry. Unfortunately, $5 for a standard size and $3.50 for a junior size is way overpriced. To be fair, I have to add that they were/are doing a text promo for BOGO milkshakes, which was more inline with expected pricing. Checked out WayBack Burgers. I got the "Cheesy" Burger, small fries (they're sold separately) and a small soda... all just $11 with tax. The Fries were super Awesome... worth going back just for them. The burger tasted good... it was like a grilled cheese sandwich with 2 meat patties added. It tasted fine, but was just too heavy to finish, I ate only half at best. If you tend to love a grease burger, you'll probably fall in love with it. I was a wee bit concerned about cleanliness... I saw a few folks around and was hungry so I didn't really look at that as much when I walked in as I normally would have... So, I had ordered before I noticed that many surfaces could use a wiping down. From the soda fountain to the floor. On the bright side, there was an employee out wiping down tables before another could bring out the prepared food... so that made me feel a little more at ease. I had "skated" over to one of their multi sex bathrooms to wash up before hand and was left with the idea that there too needed some attention. The floor was crazy slippery... with grease residue I assume. Was a bit slow for 2pm BUT they were cooking to order fresh meat on the flat top and my parents said the Carolina Burger was probably the best Carolina Burger they have ever had and at the very least in the top 3 or 5 which is a huge compliment because they are by a Carolina Burger as I am a Mushroom Swiss... which brings me to I could have built my own mushroom Swiss but I like to see it on the menu because if it's a composed menu item they tend to have more pizazz than a build your own. I am currently pregnant and had an evening craving for a cheesy burger. Never having heard of this place, my husband and I decided to take a drive and try it out. I got the cheeesy burger with saute onions and chipotle mayo and fries and onion rings. My husband had the buffalo chicken sandwich with chili cheese fries. It took a good 15-20 minutes to receive our food but it was well worth it! Both meals were completely fresh and hit the spot!! My husband's buffalo chicken sandwich was an awesome looking piece of chicken, dripping in buffalo sauce and my burger was the freshest tasting meat I can remember eating at any kind of restaurant! The fries were great as well, especially the chili cheese fries. To top it off, I saved room for a cookies and cream milk shake and I am glad I did, as it was awesome! The service is ridiculously slow nearly 40 minutes for two hotdogs and a burger and the place was not even full. They get the hotdog orders wrong then they forget the burger had to go back in to get it. They also don't even have the ketchup out you have to ask for it when you get fries? Let me start off by saying, The food here is really good. While I was staying in the area I came here on several occasions to get a double turkey burger. I was never charged the same price which was really irritating that no one knew how to ring me up correctly. There are alot of kids working here which is fine, I am all for it, but this isnt a fast food joint, the prices are pretty moderate so I definitely want my food cooked correctly. I think that on my last visit there was a new cook and it must have been maybe his third day and you could definitely tell. Thank God that they have a open kitchen area. He didn't pay attention to the tickets so he was on his way to making our food all the way wrong. We pretty much walked him through our orders. Poor kid was really nervous which is understandable, but when its show time you have got to perform and show out especially when dealing with people's food.
