I tried to order a chair but was told that it could only be delivered by FedEx, which meant that it could not be brought into my apartment. I am a small 75 year old woman and the chair weighs about 50 pounds. I told them that they lost a sale of $300 and that they would lose a lot of business from seniors if they didn't provide this type of service (adding a fee would have been fine). In the past I various things for my kitchen but because these came with an "assembly" option, I had them delivered on a truck and people came into my apartment and assembled the items (a prep center and the fixings for a cabinet under my sink.) I am terribly disappointed. I haven't bought this type of furniture in decades. The last thing I ordered was a couch from Macy's which they brought upstairs. Maybe I will look there. Disappointed with delivery service. I ordered a three piece sectional & haul away service. The drivers stated that they could only haul away my old sectional if I had purchased it from Wayfair. I had previously checked with your company to assure my old sectional would be hauled away. The virtual assistant said that the info would be forward to that depattment.To add insult to injury, they didn't even assemble the new sectional. They just left it in boxes,In my living room. I ordered a California king mattress to be delivered to my apartment. There is no gate, so no gate code. My apartment faces out, so easy access for delivery. Yet it was delivered to my mailroom? How am I supposed to get it to my upstairs apartment? That's the whole reason I got it delivered, I cannot do it myself. I was told by customer service that I would receive a partial refund for me to pay someone to bring it to me. So now it's the customer's responsibility and inconvenience to get the product? I purchased a sofa in September. I spent 2 weeks selecting the fabric making sure the slipcover had been pre-washed and was washable. I just noticed a tag that says dry cleaning recommended. spot clean with distilled water. I was replacing a sofa that the slipcover had shrunk and did not want to deal with that again. I have reached out to wayfair and they have been dismissive and rude. I am very disappointed with customer service. I know that I ordered Drusky Moonglow Sustain® Basketweave and that the description said pre-washed and washable. I hate being taken to the cleaners. No pun. The good: Ordered 3 interior panel doors for a renovation project. First one arrived on time and was great. The bad: Second two doors - which were originally promised for delivery in less than one week - still haven't arrived and it's almost two weeks later now. I've called customer svc 3 x in the last ten days since the order was first late w/no luck. Today they said the doors are "in stock" in a warehouse in NJ but they haven't shipped yet - and they won't know for 10 more days if they will ship or not. All they can say as of now is "it's a supplier issue". When I asked today if I could cancel my order they said they would "put in a request to the supplier" and "let me know within 24 hrs" if cancellation was possible - but it's "up to the supplier". I've had good luck with Wayfair before and as I said the first of the 3 doors on this order was great. However being left in limbo like this - not knowing if the other doors will come or when - not knowing if I should - or even can - cancel this order - isn't great. Cmon Wayfair. In a situation like this you really need to be more transparent and responsive. Saying the fulfillment or the cancellation of a $450 order is "up to your supplier" - and giving vague answers to your customer on order timing and order status and cancellation options - answers that leave your customer in limbo - is a bad way to do business. The doors shouldn't have been listed as available for delivery within 5 days in the first place if that wasn't true and you shouldn't have charged me for something you don't have / can't ship! read more

Ppl this place sells China junk at premium price. This fireback was suppose to be made out of cask iron,, I'm 73 and I've never seen good quality cast iron ever crack or break.. Bought a lovely ceiling fixture Satsuko Vinyl LED Semi Flush Mount By Orren Ellis Fixture Finish : Chrome for $145.00. When it arrived it said: Artika not Satsuko. But, it was identical. I had it professionally installed. Found out that Home Depot carried that same fixture for $77.00. Contacted Wayfair and they basically said Buyer Beware, I could return it and pay for taking it down and shipping it back. I have spend a lot of money with them and will not ever again. we ordered a desk about a month ago. The technician came to put it together and drilled through one of the pieces and needed to order a new piece to continue the assembly. We then found out that they cannot order specific piece so we were sent another desk just for the price that the technician damaged. fast-forward to today and the technician was supposed to be here at 9 o'clock in the morning. He had to postpone it until 3 o'clock that afternoon and then he contacted us at 2 o'clock and said that he couldn't do it until the evening. We then waited for four hours for him to arrive. He stopped answering our texts and has finally said that he will be here at 8 PM so now we have to sit here instead of enjoying our evening we have to sit here while he assembles the desk, horrible service. Then when packages are tracked, they are marked as delivered, but there are no packages. When call customer service they say "too late" to cancel order because it's been delivered. We finally made our way to the new Wayfair store. It is two floors of much of what you would need for furnishing a home. The first floor also has a little restaurant that serves soup and sandwiches. It's nice to be able to see and to try the furniture before ordering it. I'll return for the artwork (pick an image and a frame and they'll ship it to you ready to hang) or for some of the accessory type items. I did purchase some LED light bulbs and a spatula but ended up leaving an OXO vegetable peeler that was ringing up at $38 when a quick web search shows other retailers selling it for $10-$11 dollars. The staff were very helpful as they took the time to check the price and were very apologetic for the wait. In fact they, on their own, gave me some money off my purchase due to the wait. read more

Don't order any large items. Customer service has been 100% unhelpful and just gives me rhetoric. I own a law practice and ordered a reception desk in July. It is now the end of September and not only do I have it and they have rescheduled delivery despite their website stating that it is in a warehouse across town (and has been their since September 11) they had it on the truck to deliver and took it off and now They drag it out for 2-3 months, reschedule delivery more than 5 times and now they say they can't deliver it because it is too big and bulky. My option is that they drop it off on the first floor of the office building of which my office is on the 6th floor. One customer service rep told me they have it in stock and she couldn't figure out why I had to wait almost 3 months because they have it in stock. Other than her, I have just gotten the run around from customer service and their "supervisors." It was a $4,000 desk. I have used exclusively Wayfair to decorate the entire new 4,000 sq. ft. office. And I have used exclusively Wayfair to redecorate several rooms in my home. I tell everyone how much I love Wayfair. We wanted to see the grand opening of the first brick and mortar wayfair store, so we made a trip out in the afternoon. It's busy, but it's fairly easy to find a parking spot. It's busy because of opening weekend, and everyone is there to explore this new spot. It's kinda like an ikea, there are 2 stories from living room furnitures to pets bed etc. There's also a cafe on first floor called the porch, they have sandwiches, pastries, coffee/ tea and such, we also tried out some of their items. For the price and quality, it's pretty decent! It's a huge showroom of couches, dining table, beds, there's a QR code next to the price tag that you can either order it online and have it delivered to your home or pick it up at the store upon checkout if it's available in stock! Overall it's a pretty good experience to see as this's the first physical store, and you can check out the furniture physically before purchasing! read more

Very unimpressed!! We saw quite a few pieces of furniture broken and damaged on the floor. Goes to show the poor quality. I also got physically ill while inside the store from the dull lavender fragrance another yelper reported. I had to leave as I got so nauseous and a horrible headache. Wayfair does not stand behind their delivery dates and will blame it on FedEx or whoever is shipping the products, dispute all charges through your credit card company and file a complaint Better Business Bureau. Always check Amazon because they have similar if not the exact same products and will actually help you with issues like this. Wayfair does not care about customers. I ordered a sink from Wayfair for a bathroom remodel that was supposed to arrive between Sept. 16 - 22. I was able to track the sink's movement. It was transferred to a warehouse about 4 hours from my house and there it sat, day after day. I used the AI chatbox Wayfair so helpfully provided on the website in lieu of a phone number or other way to reach them and got no response. On the 23rd, I was allowed to actually fill out something online to let them know there was a problem. I received the sink days later, but it was the wrong sink. I had to install it because I need a working bathroom and don't have time to mess around for another few weeks while they try to get it right. Meanwhile, I'm being spammed at least daily with ads from Wayfair wanting me to purchase more items. No thank you. read more

The price on the item read $17.99 but on my receipt I was charged $23.50. Next was a Tovolo Rose Ice Mold. The price was $9.00 on the package and it rung up as 10.00. Unfortunately I don't recall the other prices because they were not listed on the items. I will take everything back and get a total refund. My wife just spent an Hour on the phone with the Wayfair customer support requesting a refund of $300 she spent buying her son a Wayfair gift card. The gift card was emailed to him but when he went to use it he saw a message that it was already redeemed. She spent an hour on the Chat support with Wayfair on 10 June and was told she would receive a refund but no sign of her $300. Today on the phone she was transferred 3 times elevating the phone call and of course she would have to repeat everything from the beginning. In the end my wife was given a Request number - but NO REFUND. They could not tell us what happened to the gift card but they were Quick to take her $300. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! we were told we could walk in and buy a floor model vanity desk and leave with it today. we drove over an hour away to get here and when we came in they told us we could not buy it. they are sold out on line and the price dropped over $100 dollars and they have 2 floor models on floor. we tried calling the store here in Wilmette and they don't even have phones or anyone who will pick up the phone. We called the Naperville location to see if they had a number we could contact or a way to get a hold of the Wilmette location. The Naperville store told us that the Wilmette location doesn't ever pick up their phones and no one can ever get a hold of them. When we came in to the store here the manager we talked too was not helpful and could have cared less. They have some things labeled as floor sales but you can't buy them!!! such a waste and huge disappointment and they will NEVER receive my money nor will i ever recommend them to anyone ever. You do not need to have 2 floor models. They told me i could buy it on line but i cant even do that because they are sold out and they dropped the price from $239.99 to $164.99 while being sold out on line in every color and it makes no sense.
