The whole plate tasted a day old.
    Xaviera M.

Well, this was a disappointment. Everything tasted a day old, literally: the scrambled eggs, the corned beef hash, the bagel, etc. It was barely edible, sadly. For a Saturday morning still during tourist season, it was quite a letdown. However, the service was excellent, in terms of the kindness and polite disposition of the workers here. Oh, and there is no ambience, really, which is fine--if the food had been anything worth remembering, or even eating.

The outside view was fantastic and the food was delicious! Great coffees too. We loved the horchata latte, cinnamon roll French toast, and smoked salmon benedict. Great kids menu too. Lucca was our server and he was so patient and helpful with our kids and our ever-changing order. Highly recommend stopping here when you're in Estes.

Our service was as cold as the weather outside, and much slower than it should've been, given the fact there was only one other occupied table present in the vast, windowed room. My husband enjoyed his burger with fries, and our view was extra cozy, given the gentle snowfall just beyond the sizable glass. I have dietary restrictions due to autoimmune diseases, and the waitress at least was able to conjure up something safe enough for me to eat. Was the chicken on my salad flavorful? No. But do I appreciate the effort to feel included? Yes, 100%. This is a place I wouldn't mind revisiting, given the convenient location, following a hike in Estes. If you're in the area, it's worth a stop in!

We stumbled on this place by accident. So HAPPY we did. The food was delicious. Lucca, our server, was friendly, attentive, and efficient. We had a wonderful experience. They are situated off Moraine with a big beautiful lake in their backyard. Great ambiance. We would come here again.

After horseback riding in the Rocky Mountains, our tour guide recommended Wayfinder to grab lunch. First impression is the parking situation on the outside is a mess. There's not enough parking because right next to the restaurant is a country store and they share the same parking lot. The view is beautiful from the restaurant. You can see the mountains and it's breath taking. The service is really great here and we were seated without wait. I ordered the bison burger medium and it was cooked to the right temp. This is the first bison burger I tried that was not dry! It was cooked perfectly. The burger is under seasoned. French fries weren't anything special and the burger wasn't anything special. The bacon was thick and crispy which I loved! My friend got the pasta dish and said it was ok. It wasn't anything special either. It was cheesy and the garlic butter toast was perfect. Prices were priced at the higher end. Do I recommend this place? Its not a blown you mind type of food and it's overly priced. I personally will not be coming back but I also live out of state.

We went here twice. Awesome. For Breakfast and then same day for dinner. Why go looking for something else when they are what you want. Service both times was wonderful. Love the atmosphere. Really a classy place, I will say the outside made me wonder but the inside omg! So pretty! Food was fantastic. Crème brûlée was to crave for more for sure!

This was my personal favorite breakfast in Estes Park! My eggs benedict, which I got on a biscuit, and breakfast potatoes were very tasty. I also loved the biscuits and gravy! We both got horchata lattes that we really enjoyed. Unfortunately my husband did not care for his chicken and waffles and he is a chicken and waffles connoisseur so I will trust his judgement. Our server was very friendly and she makes a great latte! It seems like they have beautiful outdoor seating as well in the warmer months.

When we first came in and looked at the menu, my husband and I were almost ready to walk out because of how high the prices were. Everything on the menu is an average of $20-$26+ and that's even for things as simple as appetizers, salads or sandwiches. However, when we got our food and tried it, absolutely delicious!!! Made more sense for the pricing. Unfortunately we probably will not come back here just because of the high prices but we got engaged here in 2017 (when it was a different restaurant) so it was still special to come back for the last time

I slept about 4 hours the night before to make it early for sunrise. To say that a few tasty beers were what the doctor ordered would be the understatement of the century! None of this matters, of course, to the good folks at Rocky Cut Brewing Company. This is off the main drag of Estes in an unassuming strip plaza. Humble vibes inside, a simple U-shaped bar top with seating all around, a few smaller tables, a community table, and a large patio with mostly picnic table seating. If you're lucky, snag a stool right along the Big Thompson River! Though, I recommend they fix the wooden placeholders for beers, they're leaning on the wrong side of history, we don't want any full glasses of beer reaching an unnecessary demise! Interference IPA * American IPA * 6.7% * 16oz ($7) From their website: "Climbing the Interference Boulder in Rocky Mountain National Park requires strength and power. This Colorado IPA showcases the power of hops with an intense blend forging citrus aromas with a pine forward finish. Featured ingredients: Cascade, El Dorado, Mosaic, Chinook, & Simcoe hops * Recommended adventure: hiking Black Lake, climbing the Twin Owls, skiing upper Hidden Valley." A perfectly apt description. I would summarize this beer just as they did, focusing on hops, citrus, and pine. Absolutely delicious, a memorable IPA in recent memory. I liked it so much I ordered it again and it tasted just as delicious the second time down! They also had a food truck outside, so safe to assume they do this often. Would love to try more of their beers during my next visit. Rock Cut, I see you!

My Hogback Sour Cocktail was over the moon. Made from bourbon, lemon, simple syrup, egg white, and Cabernet float. The unique blend made a great drink. I wanted more, but held back because we were hiking later. My wife's traditional slightly dirty martini was perfectly made as well. We started with the homemade chips and dip. Nice crispy chips with beautiful fresh made onion dip. Next came the Pheasant soup. I wanted to lick the bowl clean, it was so yummy. The main course for me was the carnivore plate with elk, filet, sausage, and broccoli/shallots. The elk meat was the star on my plate. Having that next to the filet mignon allowed me to taste test them in real time. The Elk meat won hands down. Not even close in my opinion. The sausage was packed with wonderful flavors, but after a few bites overwhelmed my palette. My wife had the Creamy Potato Gnocchi Bowl. We both shared each other's dishes. She loved the Elk Meat. I really enjoyed the Gnocchi, and wished it could be a side dish to my Elk meat. Service was great with Elizabeth checking on us at the right times. There were a couple of mix-ups with our order, including Mezcal which has a very distinct taste accidentally being added to my margarita, and some incorrect side dishes but the staff handled everything quickly and professionally. Since the restaurant had only recently reopened with a new menu, the mistakes were understandable. I ordered the Smashburger with fries, and my friend had the chicken fajita sandwich with a salad. The food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable for the area. The rooftop offers beautiful views of Estes Park and is conveniently located right in the shopping district. The only downside was the orange barrier coverings around parts of the rooftop while renovations were being completed. They blocked some of the views and took away a bit of the ambiance. Once those renovations are finished, this will be an even better spot. Great food, attentive service, and a fantastic location, I would definitely visit again once the renovations are completed.

We sat down and about 10 minutes later, a couple sat behind us and our waitress visited and brought water to their table first instead of ours. In addition, another couple behind us was not seen by any waiter/waitress and had to ask a worker (who might have been an assistant manager? Although, not clear what his position was) if they can order with him. Overall service felt scattered, a bit slow overall, and unprofessional. Food: I ordered the tex mex bowl with barbacoa. It tasted as expected, nothing spectacular. However, there was a massive piece of plastic in my food. I let the waitress know and she apologized on behalf of the kitchen. I kept the meal because I hate waste and I didn't see any other plastic pieces in the food. Right after I found the plastic, I also discovered a bone in the meat. It was big enough to hurt a tooth if I had bit down on it but thankfully I spit it out before I chewed my food completely. While a bone might be normal to find in meat, I was certainly unhappy that now two objects were in this food. I was never comped for my meal and the manager never visited my table to apologize. I only write reviews if I had a fantastic experience or when I feel the need to warn others about the restaurant. I recommend choosing another restaurant before choosing this one if you prefer quality food and service.
