I don't leave reviews. Lazy I guess. But I have to leave one here. I have been to 20+ dealerships the past 2 weeks trying to find the right car. I have been treated poorly by some, ignored by others, and pestered by many. I went to Webb City Chevrolet not sure what I would find, but what a pleasant surprise. Chester was my sales rep and he was the kindest, funniest and most professional person I encountered, perhaps ever. He was simply awesome. He was straight-forward, honest, and made the entire process a pleasant one. The facility was clean, spacious, had a children's area, vending machines, etc. They even brought out pizza for us to have while we went through the process!! They bought my little girl a pop from the machine and Chester made her feel like she was the center of the entire process. Oh yeah, we bought a car too lol! The car was spotless. They had it looking as good as it possibly could. Half of the dealerships I visited neglected this detail. Some were downright filthy. Not here. They had the lot clear of all snow, pulled the vehicles up for you, etc. After they gave us the best deal they could, they put gas in the tank and gave it another cleaning prior to us driving away. Had an overall great experience there. Went there with the intention to just get pricing, walked out purchasing a vehicle for my family. The staff did everything in their power to help me be comfortable with the purchase. Treated my wife, my 2 year old son, and I with the upmost respect. Although there was minor faults with the presentation of our new vehicle. They have gone to the limit to take care of them and made us feel at ease, knowing we won't have any future problems with their service. I recommend this dealer to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. New or used, there is no pressure to commit yourself. Usually dealers have told me what I wanted, needed, or what I can't have. The dealership was nice and the people I met were also kind and polite. I did buy the car that I was inquiring about. The following is a more detailed review of my experience at this dealership. I am not a going out and make a big purchase same day kind of guy. I research, review and revisit the item before I decided to buy. The salesman I started working with help me locate the car and I test drove it. Also asked to see the Carfax, The 172 point report and the after inspection repair document. They provided all these documents quickly. With the pricing; like most dealerships it was back and forth. Didn't like how the salesman had to always go back and discuss it with his boss. Then I had to go back and talk with the boss too. They were really trying to get me to buy the car that day, when I told them I don't do that. I did leave without the car and said I would be back. A few days I was back and took the car to an outside mechanic, where they did find some minor issues. After returning the car we discussed the price again. After much work I did get the car at the price I was willing to pay. It was just a lot of work getting to that price. About 3 months later I took it back for an oil change and a new key change. The service department was great, fast and friendly. The head guy at the service department was awesome and very nice! It is weird but I love the service department. Over all nice place and I am happy with my 2010 Camaro. read more

My wife and I came here after a rather unfortunate experience with another Chevy Dealership in the Joliet area (basically we came into the dealership, did not get acknowledged in the five minutes we were there, and left). When we arrived, our sales rep Mark took care of us swiftly, and was able to get us into a new vehicle while paying attention to what was most important to us. Ryan, who is the finance manager, was also outstanding in terms of service and simply a no hassle experience. This was arguably the easiest car purchase we have ever done and we are now the proud owners of a 2015 Chevy Equinox. Brought a Cruise in for warranty repair. Had car for 2 weeks never had 1 phone call. I had to call each time to check on car. Go to pick up car and it is full of grease prints on the paint and was left unlocked in parking lot. Take car home and look it over. Come to find out the radiator and condenser were bent in and the clips that attach the bumper were left missing. Took car back to see service manager. He didn't even look at damage and started it's not his fault. Funny thing is the condenser was replaced a few weeks before and I have a reciept stating that. Then he sends the Mechanic who worked on the car to talk to me. He also states not his problem and insults my car because he states it's dirty and in poor shape so it's my faulty he didn't install the missing parts. Totally Rude service and 650 in damage to my car. Being in the automotive industry I pride myself on customer service and this place makes the whole industry look bad. Sad read more

Watch out for very deceptive sales practices. Went in with my young daughter so she could test drive a certified preowned car she had seen online. We did not intend to buy that day but she liked the car. Our mistake for not noticing before signing papers, but our salesman, Jason, added an interior and exterior protection warranty to the tune of $1,600 plus tax. He told us it was included and had been added to the car previously. When I noticed the next day that we were charged for this "option," I phoned Jason and he lied and said he told us it was "included in the price." Either way, this is deceptive. My daughter learned the hard way not to trust a thing that comes out of a car salesman's mouth. No surprise, but a call to the sales manager went unanswered. My daughter will get some satisfaction by placing a sticker reading "Do not buy from" over the dealership sticker on the back of her car. read more

My Chevy's check engine light was on and my key remote was not locking or unlocking my doors so I decided to make an appt at Webb Chevy of Plainfield. WHAT A MISTAKE! This dealership provides terrible customer service and does not go the extra mile that other dealerships do to ensure customer retention and satisfaction. First of all, I had to call several times to even make the appt. The first time I called, I asked for the service dept and was appropriately transferred. Upon answering the call, the technician quickly transferred me to a scheduling coordinator. I immediately got a voicemail message requesting that I leave a message. I have never been asked to leave a VM when trying to schedule an appt with a reputable dealership before so I called back again. The receptionist transferred me to the coordinator again and again I received the same voicemail message. Quite frankly, this is bad customer service. To top it off, I did not recieve a call back in a timely manner. The coordinator called back several hours later when I was not available so my husband ending up calling and made the appointment through the service department. Upon arriving home, I noticed that the key remote was still not working. (And yes, the battery was replaced.) I looked on the invoice and there was no mention of the key remote. I know for a fact that my husabnd referenced the remote when he called to make the appointment so I called the dealership back on Monday. I spoke with the advisor, Michael Pirelli. He was rude, unsympathetic and a complete jerk. He stated that we made no mention of a remote start and it wasn't on the service record. I asked whether they record their calls because I knew that my husband did in fact mention the remote when he initially called to make the appointment and explain the issue. Mr. Pirelli snorted when I asked this question and told me that I could point the finger and that he can't remember everything that was said because he serviced over 20 vehicles that day. I ended up hanging up on him because I was so upset. I was visibly shaking due to the manner in which he spoke to me. I will never patronage this dealership again! Oh did I also mention that the 1-888 telephone number listed on the receipt that I received is not even in service? All I can say is WOW. I work in the customer service industry and cannot believe that this organization would provide such horrible customer service. Do not bring your vehicle to this dealership if you expect to receive exceptional customer service and be treated with respect. These qualities are truly lacking at this dealership. read more

Had great experiences with Hawk. I do not recommend bringing your car here. I do recommend to Webb Chevy finding new RESPECTFUL staff with customer service skills. And it looks as if all you do is switch out the customer name in some of the response emails. And to ask them to call YOU back to discuss the matter is absurd. The CUSTOMER was treated shitty. I hate coming and getting my car serviced. I have found someone who gives great customer service and has renewed my faith in the Plainfield Webb Chevy. Tony has great customer service skills, really listens to the problem and I leave feeling valued as a customer. That's how it should be.....ALWAYS! I was ready to find a new dealership to service my car and I would have never bought a car from there again. We went through TrueCar and received a call back from Nickoleta kastros in the internet department. Everything seemed like it was fine. They ran credit online and told us we were approved and a dealer trade would be done. We were asked to come in and finish paperwork. Unfortunately, we had to reschedule but we called back to make sure all was ready and done. We found out they never ran credit, we were not pre-qualified and they didn't know anything about a dealer trade to get the car we showed interest in. We spoke with Frank, the manager and he was as ignorant and misleading as the internet department. Please beware, if you are going to these people. They are dishonest and definitely what people think of, when they think of a used car salesman. read more

This is the WORST place I have ever been in my life. My husband took the car in last night and because of an issue this dealership had, our battery was drained. Their "trained" service people ensured that we waited all day for a quick fix that was part of a recall - and then charged us 125 extra dollars for a battery they drained and broke. I loved the experience i had at this dealership. I went in to look at a used car that they had in their inventory, a 2012 Chevy Camaro but unfortunately i missed it by a day. But then the manager Jason brought out a brand new Yellow Camaro and asked me to test drive it and see how i feel and said that he would give me a very good deal. I loved the car, it had all the technology on it but it was a new car and i didnt think i could afford . But then, the salesman Jason and Manager Yaz got together and gave me a very very good deal. They were very courteous and pleaseant and especially the salesman, Jason helped me with making the right decision. It was a very smooth process and i drove the car home the same night, they even let me give the check from my bank a week later. To the point, no fuss and a very helpful staff!! Wish I could give zero stars to this place because they don't deserve any. First of all I would like to start off by saying the car that I tried purchasing through them was going to be my first car like ever. So on my part I know I should have reviewed the paper work more carefully and got copies of everything I signed. But that doesn't mean they had the right to disrespect me and take advantage of me in the process. I came in originally for a used car they had on their website and instead the sales man, Jason N. Encouraged me to get a brand new vehicle after he made it seem like they ran my credit. They don't run your credit there is no real pre qualifications it's all bullshit. They let me drive off of the lot with a 2019 Chevy spark then called me back and said that they put the wrong social security number so when they finally did run my credit after the fact they said there was nothing that could be done and that I signed the paper which I do not recall sighing it didn't even look like my signature and the social was completely off from what I told the guy. (Implying that he may have switched it) because he did lie about other things on my credit application. They let me drive off the lot with this car, and let a whole week go by then they told me well it was the wrong social and since we ran your real social we need you to get a co signer or you need to return the vehicle. Then when I couldn't find a co signer and just decided to return the vehicle they tried telling me that I wouldn't receive my down payment for a week or so. I don't think so! If you wanted your vehicle I need my money period. Then the sales man said they would report the vehicle stolen!?. For THEIR mistake they wanted to call the cops on me which wasn't even logical because I signed the bill of sale. The sales man turned out to be a prick, and now with the holidays coming up I have no car to drive. They took my car right before Christmas and now I have no way to see my family. Andddd I also want to point out they did nothing to try to help me get into another vehicle. They took theirs back and that was that. Talk about horrible customer service. Don't go here seriously avoid this place at all costs and if you do go here try to see someone other than Jason N. Total a**hole to say the least. Had I not come here I would have had a car. I leased a car from Webb Chevy Plainfield. They convinced me to purchase the maintenance agreement but no one stated that I could only redeem the free oil changes at the Plainfield dealership or their sister dealership. Knowing that I was moving an hour away, I would NOT have agreed to this if communicated at the time. Fortunately, I was visiting a friend in Plainfield around the same time that I needed an oil change in June 2018 so it worked out ok. But when I got to the dealer, they couldn't find my name in the system. What?! Unfortunately, I didn't have my paperwork with me so I had to pay the $52. On the way home, I started second guessing myself. Maybe I thought about getting the maintenance package and decided against it. Surely they would have had me in the system if I had purchased it. So, when it was time to get my next oil change in Dec of 2018, I decided to stay close to my new residence and pay $47 in Glen Ellyn thinking that I didn't have a maintenance package. When I got home that day, I decided to search through all of my files again just to make sure that I had not missed something. Well, I found my paperwork and guess what? I definitely should have been getting my oil changes for FREE. Why did they not have my name in the system the first time that I visited the dealership? Wait, the story gets even better. I went to Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet in Glen Ellyn and worked with Mike just recently in June 2019 for my next oil change. He called them to validate a free oil change FINALLY because I now had my paperwork. They said that I had 6 available and had not used any thus far. SHOCKING! That's when they told him about the "In House" rule where I could only get serviced by the Plainfield dealership or their sister dealership. Mike said that he had never heard of this kind of rule in all of the years that he has worked in the industry. He gave me a great discount on my oil change and apologized. So I paid almost $400 for a maintenance package and I will not be able to use it unless I drive an hour each way. As a working single mom with a 5 year old, that is not exactly convenient for me when this should NOT have happened in the first place. My family and I have bought and/or leased 5+ cars from the Plainfield dealership in the last 10 years. Unfortunately, this situation will prevent us from buying from them in the future. read more

Girlfriend made an appointment for an oil change when she walked in an employee inside was so rude to her that she asked for her keys back and took the car elsewhere. About 3 days later we got a call saying that we missed our oil change. We explained that we didn't miss it. And that one of there employees was a dick head and we walked out, and would from now on take our business elsewhere. The lady on the phone was nice and offered us a free oil change to go in and try them again. So we took it and figured why not. Well I walked in there the other day to get the free oil change and the guy says " ohh I doubt that it's in the system they always say it's in there and it never is". Then he proceeds to continue on writing up a ticket for the oil change without even looking up if there was a free 1. So I physically had to stand over him and watch him look up our names to see if there was a free oil change. And there wasn't. And in top of this I had to deal with the second vice guy who wouldn't even take the time to look it up in the system and he was a dick. Talked to me like he was better than me and I didn't appreciate it at all. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I wish I bought my car elsewhere! If I could give zero stars I would. I received a recall notice for 2 recalls on my Malibu. I brought my car in and they had it for over 4 hours before I was called to come pick it up. I was told everything was good and went on with my life. That would have been fine if not for the fact that I received about 8 phone calls in the next few weeks that my part came in. I did not order a part so I asked them to look into it. I was finally told that the part was ordered under my name but my services were done and they do this to have extra parts in for recalls. I accepted that and asked them to stop calling me about it since they checked my service record and my recall was taken care of. Fast forward 2 months when I come in for 20K miles service and oil change. I was told there was a recall they have to check which gets me a free oil change... okay I am fine with that and they discover the first recall from 2 months ago was never done and they have to keep my car overnight to get them both done. I am frustrated by this but I need it done so I go on my way. The next day I pick up my car no issues. I get a call the next week that paperwork from when I bought my car over a year ago was not done right and they need some papers from me. I go out of my way to help them out only to get a call today saying OnStar notified them I need an air filter replaced... WTF this was supposed to be done on my last visit when I made my appointment to come in. This is included in the service I made my appointment for. They only did my recall and oil change and nothing else despite what I made my appointment for. HOW ARE THEY SO INCOMPETANT? I don't understand how there are so many issues. Also they will call you many times about the bad services they give you asking for feedback. It is a joke. read more

In the past year we have bought five new Chevy's from Webb. We had not had a need for the service department until recently. When calling for an appointment, it is always a week or two in advance. A loaner vehicle or a shuttle ride is never offered. When waiting for an oil change, it is always a couple hours. They do not run a vin status on your vehicle when you come in for service so if your vehicle should have a recall, you would need to do the research yourself and call for an appointment. I was just very disappointed on the treatment from the service department compared to the treatment received when purchasing a vehicle. Just a real sense of not caring. I would definitely recommend looking for a dealership with higher service ratings. read more

Horrible service department. The service department is nothing but experienced in the area of sweet talking, and deceiving, but as soon as something goes wrong they are quick to point the finger. They damaged my car when they were making what should have been an easy repair, and then they didn't want to take the responsibility for what they had done. I have pictures of the car with the damage that they had done, but they still didn't want to repair it. They said they were not going to repair anything, and didn't even want to work with me on trying to fix the problem, so now I have contacted the Better Business Bureau (BBB). I moved to the area, and needed to get a oil change done(gm's 2 year 24000). This has been the worst experience I have had with a dealership. I had an appointment set and it took them an hour and a half to change the oil(nothing else). Get in my car and there's oil on the passengers side door.... we were there for 6 YES 6 hours trying to buy my car, never even offered a drink or snack for my 6 yr old daughter or us. sales manager was the most rudest person in this whole experience, we walked out due to his behavior with out the car. Sales person Andy followed us out as we were leaving asking what can he do to help. we told him nothing less than his manager to come out and apologize to my wife for his rudeness. Jason did come out to my car with Gary and Andy and did apologize for his behavior. if it wasnt for the love of my wife i would have left but seeing her face with that car is what made me do the deal, that's the only reason why. i told Andy there are alot of dealers willing to sell a car in a professional manner and i dont need this Bs in front of my family, especially after 6 hours. your management team and i agreed on a out the door price but when Jason did paperwork the price was higher and he had no reason to why but and even took the papers and threw them in the trash in front of us saying take it or leave it, thats when after 6 hrs we walked out only to be followed out. Jason, after apologizing to my wife for his rudeness asked her what it would take, her response "the deal we had". Jason agreed and we went back in and bought the car. I will not recommend anyone to Webb chevy nor will i be a repeat customer. we returned to pick up our car when it was finished 6 days later and no one even said hi to us. NO ONE except Sandra who kept in touch with me and at least acknowledged we were human thru the whole thing. Sandra was great and we thank her, but for the rest, never again. the kicker, we bought a new 2014 Buick from darcy motors by the mall in Novemeber, they took us out personally to lunch at cemenos pizza. your dealership doesnt even offer water to children. read more

I just bought my 7th brand new Chevy. The first few trucks I purchased in the early 1990's were from a different dealership in the West suburbs and while they were awful purchasing experiences I loved the vehicles. The last purchase I made was a 2011 Tahoe and the GM from that transaction was Ralph Conti who was recommended by a friend and it was the best experience I had in buying a new vehicle by a long shot. Because of this I wanted to buy my new truck from Ralph again. When I went looking for Ralph I was told he was no longer with the dealer where I made my last purchase so I had to do some hunting to find him and my search led me to Webb Chevy of Plainfield. Long story short, I walked in to just kick the tires and start the buying process...I've never bought any vehicle on the first day of my hunt. Once again, I was treated so well and with such a respect by Ralph and the salesman Phil he had me work that I decided to purchase the vehicle the same day. I had to travel an extra 35 miles to get my new Tahoe from these guys but I am really glad I did because they are wonderful people that treat you with respect and make car buying the way it should be - easy. The worst place to buy or lease a car. DO NOT GO HERE! First off when I leased my truck they said I had to come back (2 months later) and re-sign paperwork which made my lease 2 months longer because there was a problem with the paperwork, then made me make a double payment do to their mistake. Then when my lease was almost over and I wanted to turn my truck back in i go there and deal with multiple people and none of them knew what they were doing, ended up leaving because they couldn't get my pay out amount because the finance company was closed ( after being there for a hour). Then A week later I get a call back from Webb Chevy to come in to turn my truck, telling me on the phone that everything is good to go. I get there and the person who called me is gone for the day( which he never told me he was leaving) and no one knew anything about what was going on. Another wasted trip there! I will turn my truck into another dealer and will never go there again. I will make sure all my friends and family don't go there as well. What a waste of time. read more

Horrible experience!!!! So unprofessional. The day we went in to look at vehicles we were there for about 4 hours only to tell us we could not do the deal that day. And the day they finally got our deal to go through we went in to sign our lease for our suv and the system was down so the MANAGER told us he would transfer our plates the next morning only to get a call ONE MONTH later to tell us the plates were never transferred. We live 40 minutes away and they made us go back to sign the plate transfer paperwork. Then they needed us to go back and sign some other papers so then we went again! They promised us a spare key and told us that if we wanted it UPS or FEDEX to us. They also promised us gas gift cards, We waited about a month never got the key or gift cards. Kept calling and getting the run around. Waste of my time. Now I will have to drive 40 minutes AGAIN to pick up the key because now they are saying they don't mail out keys!!!! Wasting my miles on my lease for THEIR mistakes!!! So NO I do not recommend them! read more

This is my second negative review of Webb Chevy. My first regarded the salesman and the car they sold me, and now this one is regarding how they further screwed me over by never transferring the title of my old car (trade in). Today I get a collection letter from the City of Chicago for nearly $3,000 because my old car got impounded! But how could this be? I don't own that car, Webb Chevy owns it. Well, they never transferred the title, and so according to the State of Illinois, I still own it. Someone at Webb Chevy, or one of their relatives, drove that car into the city of Chicago, and got it impounded, and now its in my name, and it went to collections, meaning that its now affecting my credit report. Classy operation they have there at Webb Chevy. Let it be known that I will be going in there shortly to raise all sorts of hell about this. I will NEVER, EVER, buy another car from them, and none of my family or friends will either. I suggest you don't, or you may get a bill for three grand several months after your trade in. read more
