Honestly I have wanted to try for years! As a fan of Weber grills I knew one day I would make it. Fun fact, didn't realize it was from Illinois so when I was in chicago and saw did not understand that connection. Once again, I wished I posted this a while back but I forgot. The drinks were on point and really good! Something I didn't really expect. One of the best margaritas I have had in a while. For dinner, I remember that the pork chop and ribs were really good entrees but that the pork chop just hit really different and was just really really good. I was hesitant to try this place, just because you make grills doesn't mean you can make good food, you know? However, we had a great experience from start to finish here. We were coming down from Milwaukee to hit up The Friends Experience and found this place because we were able to make a reservation on OpenTable. Given the time sensitivity of our day, having a reservation was key. Yet traffic was better than we expected and we ended up at Weber even before they technically opened. Despite that, staff waved us in and sat us right away. Service from Widman for the entire meal was pretty flawless, and we all loved the food we had. I've been told about this Resturant almost a year ago , and finally had made the time to give it a go. The setting has two parts, bar and sit in Resturant which is pretty good for quietness. I started out with a Manhattan, recommended by my server. I ordered a 16oz Ribeye, with potatoes and asparagus. Whoops! I started also with French Onion Soup. My steak was cooked perfectly! Awesome for being grilled, the potatoes seasoned perfect and asparagus... well could have plated a few more there! Overall, atmosphere and food were great! Everyone was friendly and stopped by the table to see if I needed anything almost every few minutes. Recommend!!!! We eaten at Weber Grills over the years. As we're staying at the Hilton Garden Inn next door, we decided to come to Weber for lunch. We shared 3 items: - Mediterranean Salad (very good) - Mini Brats (very good) - Meatloaf (good) We were served Pretzel Bread with whipped butter and whipped cheese spread. Lunch was very nice. One thing I'd change is to ask for ketchup to be glazed on the Meatloaf vs BBQ sauce. I didn't care for the sweeter flavor profile that the BBQ sauce added. Final thing I'd change is to ask for the Green Beans that came with the Meat Loaf to be fully cooked. In typical restaurant fashion, they came vibrant green in color and horribly crisp. This preparation is a restaurant norm - not the exception. I just prefer tender beans. Had I paid attention enough to know my meal came with green beans, I'd have asked for them prepared how I like them. We'd come back to Weber Grill. read more

Husband wanted to go here since we pass every time we walk around the area of our hotel. So made reservations on Open Table and we were a little early for our reservation but they say is right away since it was not busy. We did get to be seated in a little quieter area of the restaurant per our request but didn't get a table by the window as requested. The service was ok. Our server probably came by to check on us a couple times after we got our food to make sure everything was tasting ok and whether I needed another drink. The best part of our meal was the French onion soup. It was done too perfection with the broth being not too salty or bland but with just enough seasoning that it was perfect. My husband's filet mignon was a little rare in the middle but it was still tasty but very salty just as everything else on the plates including the green beans for his side and my puree squash. The squash would have been better if it was sweeter or no salt added. My pork tenderloin was a little sweeter than expected and the broccolini was a little too charred. My husband's seasonal sangria was good and unexpected with a little home of whiskey since I'm not a big whiskey fan. My bloody Mary was ok and not spicy as I had requested it to be extra spicy. There was little hint of Tabasco in there bloody Mary. I like the garnishment got the bloody and the beer chaser since I rarely drink the chaser for bloody Mary. Overall, the service was ok, portions were small for the price you pay. Just two people, two entrees, two drinks and an app was over $100 with tips. I thought the Weber Grill was an upscale place but the women's restroom was not clean. Paper towels on the floor. They did have a changing table in the women's restroom so it's baby friendly. They don't have free WiFi. I would probably choose another steak place before coming back to Weber Grill. read more

A good, not great Steakhouse with an interesting selling principle: they use Weber egg shaped grills to cook most of the entrees. Service was courteous and fairly quick. We enjoyed the Chicken Skewers as an appetizer and then moved on to garden salads before our Filet Mignons. I have dined at Weber Grill Restaurant a few times over the years, usually in conjunction to a work-related dinner function. You can enjoy a nice solid meat-centric meal here. Its location seems to be right in the middle of bustling River North. You might be hanging out with the statue of the grilling dude (just past the main entrance, near the bar area) if you come early or arrive at a busy time. The last time I was here, I thoroughly savored every bite of a 10-ounce filet mignon. The mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus tasted fine and were almost an afterthought in comparison to the scrumptious filet mignon. The Mediterranean grilled vegetable salad was also quite good, loaded with yummy veggies and delicately doused with white balsamic vinaigrette, though the croutons from pita bread were like the remnants of too-hard pizza crust. I think my expectations may have been a little off prior to my first visit to Weber. I have had many friends and family members rave about how much they love Weber and talked about it like it was upper echelon fine dining. This wasn't particularly the case, Weber is more along the lines of a Longhorn or Outback Steakhouse, which is NOT a knock on them just tempering expectations. I thought the service was phenomenal, the reservation process was very easy via Opentable, and the prices were about what you'd expect; $30-40/pp assuming you get an alcoholic beverage. They cook everything on Weber grills (hence the name) and you can really taste the charcoal flavor coming through on your meats. The setting is nice but a little more on the casual side so no need to dress up. All and all, I really enjoyed my dinner and would go back. read more

Then again, we passed up Michael Jordan's restaurant going to Weber Grill Restaurant, I'm sure the people at Weber knows more about grilling steaks than MJ. We both got it medium, enough to not be moo-ing, but rare enough so you're not struggling with a dead piece of meat. Our first bites were both an acknowledgement of how good the steaks tasted and "melted in your mouth." Staff was very friendly and efficient, though not very formal. Negative: we both thought the meal was a bit on the salty side. See if you can get your steak or sides less salty, maybe half the salt? Disappointed this time around. Was here a while ago and totally enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere. This time I felt like my meal was a cafeteria steak, and quite undercooked. Medium rare was served very rare. Since I was forced to sit at the bar or wait 2-1/2 hours for a table I just wanted to eat and get out, so I didn't bother sending it back. Thin, grisly and undercooked is not what I wanted to spend $40 on. The mashed potatoes were spot on, but it was a very small portion- its potatoes for goodness sake, this is not nouvelle cuisine- the customers are looking for both quality and quantity at a meat and potatoes type place.
