Webers is a Tulsa staple. Period. It's small, quaint and charming. The food is delicious and the root beer is cold flavorful and just plain delicious. This is my second visit. They're good, not over the top but it gets the job done. I got their cheeseburger, fries & root beer freeze. Their freezes are good! It's like root beer float but blending, with the texture like soft serve. I should've gotten a bigger size. The burger was good. Packed down to have all of the flavors within itself to have the full experience when you take a bite. Definitely has the "off the grill" taste, which is a good thing. The fries were ok as well. I wish they would've had something like bbq sauce or something outside of ketchup. I was looking forward to trying the sausage burger (per website) but it's not on the menu when you visit the place. Wasn't disappointed but that would've been good to have/see. Also, Rick, who was possibly the manager/owner of the spot was very very VERY nice. There was a car in front of me waiting on their order, he came outside to take my order so it have to be such a wait. My traveling group had heard about how Weber's Root Beer is celebrating its 85th anniversary at 38th and Peoria since 1933. I beg them for us to just drop by and get a Root Beer, they do have GREAT homemade Root Beer, but they wanted to to the food too. That was not good, I just do not understand how Weber's stay open? My order was: A half pound chili cheese burger, a small order of onion rings, and a 32 oz rootbeer. The total came out to $18.50! So, sticker-shock was the first thing I experienced. The burger came out large and flat. It was a good sized burger, circumference wise, but I swear the buns and patties were squashed flat. I have had pancakes that were taller than this burger. No joke! They must have forgotten the chili, because my burger basically had ketchup, onions and mustard. Whatever. There were plenty of large onion rings in the small-sized order. Probably 12-15. Nice sized portion and fried well. The root beer is delicious, legitimately some of the best root beer I have ever had in my life. I used one of their on-line coupons, which is great, and called in my order, to-go. They told me 12 to 15 minutes. I was there in 13. When I called, they did not tell me their drive-through is inoperable (and has been for months--they should get it fixed), and I should use the window on the west side to pick up my order. I had a hard time finding a spot to park, there were 8 people inside, so it was very, very crowded, and I had to wait 20 minutes for them to take the large order of a gentleman that was at the order window. My meal was cold, and there is nothing worse than cold, soggy fries. I would have gone back in to get hot fries, but I knew it would be another 20 minutes or more, and I had to get back to work. The hamburger was okay, considering it was cold, and, of course, the root beer was good. I will not be going back to Weber's, anytime soon. It was not a good experience. They could have at least given me some hot fries, when I picked up my meal. They've gotten really pricey, as the man ordering in front of me complained about for 20 minutes, but so has everything else. If you do go, be sure to use one of their on-line coupons, and go to the window on the west side, so your food won't be cold. Burgers are still tasty and like I remember from my childhood, and I love the root beer float. Tip: If you're extra hungry, you may want to get a double patty (this is true everywhere, so don't complain if you're still hungry if you didn't buy enough food to fill you up). Best. Burgers. On. The. Planet. No lie. Get it standard - mustard pickles and onions only. I prefer the smaller sized, single-patty cheeseburgers, but they're all just as good regardless of size. The root beer is also the best you'll find ANYWHERE, so you must get that if you go. My girlfriend likes the cheese tater tots, but I'm good with regular tots or fries just the same. Yum!! I ordered the small cheeseburger, small hand cut fries, and root beer, of course. The small burger is very small - think happy meal size but 100% better quality, crispy edges on the soft bun, and just enough veggies to make the small cheeseburger the perfect splurge without all of the guilt. My friend ordered the onion rings and they were fresh, not frozen and better than my hand cut fries.
