I really love this place. I think we overlooked it at first because the name just made me think it was a burger place or something along those lines. It definitely is not that, as we found out! It's actually very tasty and fresh inspired Korean food restaurant. I recommend downloading their app and ordering in the app to get your rewards and points. You can order ahead to go but still eat it at the restaurant. The service has always been very quick and friendly here. They can get a long line around lunch time, but it goes quick and the food comes out hot and fresh within minutes. My go to dish here is the Half and half bowl with half chicken, half bulgolgi steak with rice and fresh steamed veggies. You can also add green onions for free and avocado is an upcharge, but certainly worth it if you are trying to get your healthy fats or just love avocado like me. You also get a choice of 3 sauces. They can all be the same or different. My favorite is the magic sauce, which is like a sweet teriyaki style sauce. I usually get two of those and one of the hotter sauces to add to my bowl before I devour it. I appreciate that there is a tofu option and that it's overall pretty healthy. They have bowls, mini bowls, and plates with steak, chicken, and tofu as protein options. The standard bowl comes with 3 sauces, the choices are magic sauce, hot sauce, double hot and triple hot. I got 2 magic and 1 hot. Used both magic and no hot, the Korean spicy chicken was spicy enough. It was a good lunch, a pretty clean meal, no big lunch hangover. If I had one complaint, and it's a stretch to call it a complaint, but more advice to others: they pack those bowls FULL! Trying to move everything around to get bites with rice, meat and veg on one fork full was a PITA. You kind of need to dump it out on a plate to mix it up. The Flame Broiler is the Korean fast food attempt. The concept is clever and simple to order: pick a size, a protein, and a rice. Unfortunately, the food itself is also simple, very simple. The plate is the largest size and comes with rice, meat/tofu, half an orange, and a salad. Everything is pretty much premade and the meat is already stir fried beforehand. The problem is everything is prepared so basic that it tastes like something you could make at home yourself. The salad is raw chopped up cabbage without any sauce. I don't even know what to call it, definitely not a salad. Who in their right mind would think that's a good idea? This is some of the best teriyaki chicken I have found in the Tulsa market. The meat is high-quality and prepared very well. The sauce is an excellent balance between savory and sweet, the overall effect is wonderful. The chicken is slightly better than the beef, but both are good. The rice is cooked perfectly and an excellent compliment, the steamed vegetables and salad are both reasonable and the portion size is correct. I would favor one of the bowls over the plate. This place has the sauce literally, the formula is simple lean flavorful protein on a bed of rice with some veggies a simple formula. You place your order where you select your size, bowls are usually filling enough but if you want a bit more protein go for the plate. Your next option is your base white or brown rice then weather you want veggies and green onions you will have a number on your receipt and before you can blink your food is out and they are calling your number. This is where the fun starts, as alchemy class is in sessions with the sauces. There is the magic sauce which is on the sweeter side and very similar to bulgogi sauce then there are the heat options: Their is a base hot, double hot and triple hot there are also some jalapenos on the side. The triple and double does have some heat but their is some flavor in there heat and you mix with the right ratio of the magic sauce as it is just blissful. For first times I would advise taking it slow as if you go too hot or even too much of the magic sauce you loose some of the flavor as the charred chicken and bee options were seasoned before cooking and they do have a good flavor on their own. The brown rice does not absorb much of the sauces and I find myself jumping between the two, if I get a chicken bowl, I would do brown rice but beef on white for me. This may be a chain but its one of the better options as it is healthy and packed with flavor. read more

Great little spot. I have a pet peeve about employees yelling hello and goodbye when you walk in and out of a place. It results in lots of yelling if you're just sitting and people are walking in and out.... Aside from that, it's chicken and rice dishes with good sauces, the very spicy sauce is actually VERY spicy which is rare. The kids working here didn't seem to care it was my first time and when I explained I was trying to figure it out he just stood there and waited instead of offering suggestions. It's pretty incredible walking into a restaurant that only carries 3 types of meat: tofu, chicken and beef and one protein is out of stock indefinitely according to the woman taking orders, and a second d protein has a price increase. I grew up eating flame broiler in California and I have NEVER heard of this company running out of tofu indefinitely and charging more for beef. I don't eat meat and I was stuck eating a bowl of rice. My boyfriend said the meats tasted like burnt grill. Super disappointed that such a great food chain has turned into this. I was never given a copy of my receipt to even tell you what the price increase was on the beef. Needless to say I won't be back. After realizing I had checked in here several times with no review, I decided it's​ finally time to review Flame Broiler so everyone can know why I just can't stay away. First of all, they have this sweet, tangy delicious sauce called magic sauce that you can add on top of your bowl (among other traditional toppings like soy sauce, Sriracha, etc). Magic sauce is so delicious and I'm sure I'm partly attracted to it's novelty because it's called magic sauce. One of my favorite things about Flame Broiler is they are super transparent about what is in their food and their nutritional content is flexible for customizations. The ways that you can customize is pretty impressive as well. I always get the mini works bowl with brown rice, but there are lots of choices. The veggies are yummy too. If you get a works plate you get an orange and an Asian slaw. Regardless of what combinations you like, I'd highly recommend giving Flame Broiler a try if you haven't already!
