Pancakes, Please. It's busy. People love it. I didn't. To be fair I'm a steak and eggs guy, standard American fare, so Mexican food for breakfast begins at a disadvantage. The carnitas burrito was excellent. You get your money's worth of meat and egg and both were nicely prepared and good tasting. The large pile of hash browns was good, too, and had a texture balance of almost-creamy potatoes with crunch at the edges. My wife had huevos rancheros with carnitas. She gave it an eight out of 10. Be careful in agreeing to the waitress suggestion of sides. My tablespoon of sour cream--No kidding. A tablespoon....OK, rounded tablespoon--added a dollar. If dining is supposed to be an experience, this took the bloom off by adding a touch of annoyance. I'm happy I didn't order the guacamole. I prefer IHOP. We went to Weck's this morning for breakfast. The portions are huge. I suggest sharing your meal or taking some home for a second meal. The service was good! The coffee is expensive and not great, unfortunately. We had the hazelnut coffee which is a little better than the regular... But definitely not worth the price. I wish that they had more less expensive, smaller and healthier meals to offer. The green and red chile sauces are delicious. The French toast was great. I was disappointed that they didn't offer a waffle. What kind of breakfast place has no waffles? Anyway... We will be back of course! read more

Orded the steak breakfast burrito... Got slices if philly steak and powdered scrambled eggs... cheese was plastic... I assume packaged shredded cheese with silica. Undercooked.. Menu states steak. Not steak'ums or philly steak... Quality has dropped... server was great Told the manager about the dissappointment in the "steak". I ordered from this place this morning and I usually like Weck's but this one was just simply terrible. I got some sunny side eggs, ham, hash brown, and toast. It all came in one plate extremely messy and lazily put together. The eggs were super runny and tasted funny. The toast was at the very bottom of the plate where all the food was just dumped over it. The hash brown was the stalest and worst I had ever tasted and the ham was soggy and tasted terrible. They need to fix this immediately because I will never be coming back to this location. read more

Good food, friendly staff. I usually order the BIG PIG with Mixed Green & Red. I often take half of it home. A 4 egg omelet with a mega amounts of meat - sausage, bacon, ham, Avavado, onions, & Mushrooms. With them serving both breakfast & lunch, we can easily change up our orders.. but rarely do. When they are packed busy, we try to find another place to eat. Wait times can go up to an hour or more. We like that the manager comes by each table to check on service. And If you want to take your drink with you, they offer a 32 oz plastic cup to go. read more

Wecks! I love this location. I live nearby and have 4 children and we typically come here on Saturday mornings as a family. Today I came in alone and the first question was, where are the kids? I can't really ask for more than that. I wouldn't say that Wecks has the absolute best food in town but it always comes fresh and hot. The service is truly unbeatable. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Also, they NEVER bat an eye at the big ass mess my one-year-old makes when eating here. Also, Wecks is local and I will support local business until the day I die. Keep up the great work Wecks and a special shoutout to Samantha who always treats my family so amazingly well. The food is always good here and the other locations. I love the bowl of papas...but this time it was mostly just the potatoes and not much carne. The food was still tasty, but I think they cut down on the meat portions (understandable in some ways, but a little disappointing), but portions are still pretty good. The coffee they use is spectacular as well. Will definitely continue to be one of my go to breakfast spots. read more

I haven't had Wecks in a long time and it sounded so good to me today. I've been cutting back on a lot of *junk* lately but I made an exception for their Carnitas Lunch burrito. Called and picked up within 15 minutes and the staff at the location was super nice. When I got back to the office, my lunch meal (drink included) was neatly packed with utensils and extra napkins. The Christmas Chile on this burrito was SO good and the carnitas were moist. They're weren't any "fat" pieces which made it even more enjoyable. This lunch order was huge, way bigger than I anticipated, so I had leftovers. My experience at this Wecks was way positive, I look forward to ordering from there again. read more

Now *this* is more like it! Ambiance: Spacious, clean-looking, with an established feel. Busy, but with good reason (read on). Service: We received prompt, very polite service today from "Brandy." Food: A wide variety of breakfast (and other) fare, plus generous portions. I had the chicken-fried steak with eggs over easy and tortilla, which was very nicely done. Mrs. had the "Full Belly egg plate," which was not a misrepresentation. The bacon was quality stuff (not fatty) and the english muffin was nice & thick. BOTTOM LINE: A solid choice for breakfast! Always pretty lucky to come to a popular place with no wait in the morning. The wait staff always check on our refills and dirty plates. The serving to each plate is HUGE! I get a To go box every time. I like that they always give you a to go cup if you like! read more

Partner and I were disappointed with our breakfast here. Plates were big, service was great. We both got an omelet. Each one had "pockets" of filling-never a bite with all the ingredients. The most disappointing feature was the onion: Those bits of chopped onion were frozen-never sautéed. My first breakfast during this Albuquerque visit, and I have to say that I was impressed. This is a great place to get an omelette, based on my experience with the aptly-named Big Pig omelette! This thing is stuffed with carne adovada, sausage, bacon, ham, mushrooms, onions, cheddar and jack cheese, and in my case with green chile. One of the best omelettes I've eaten in a long time, and more than sufficient in size. Brad ordered the Abney omelette and seemed well-pleased with the choice as well. Coffee is pretty decent, staff and management well above average! Definitely worth a stop for breakfast. Next time I'm in Albuquerque I definitely plan to repeat, and to try some lunch for a change! read more

Favorite spot in town for lunch! They have a delicious veggie sandwich filled with guacamole fresh veggies and topped with sunflower seeds served with a side of homemade potato chips. My grandmother and I are regulars at this location and also Juan tabos as well the staff is always welcoming at both. Also I like that the shift manager comes and always checks on how everything went. It's nice to know they care about customer service. No complaints yet! Be back soon! read more

One of the best breakfast spots in abq! Huge, delicious breakfast burritos! I love the carnitas burrito with green chile! So freaking good! The hash-browns are always perfect and the cheese is warm and bubbly on top. Other great dishes too like the papas bowls! Always have to eat here when I visit back home! Okay so the decor is pretty funky considering it's a restaurant in New Mexico that serves green chile. But then again you can get green chile anywhere in NM, even McDonalds, Wendy's, etc. Pretty 50's American vibe, which isn't horrible, just different. The portions are huge! On just about every dish. Incredible food and the green chile has a nice kick. I mostly just come here for breakfast but they do serve lunch items too like burgers and sandwiches which I hear are pretty incredible too but I'm pretty much in love with the carnitas burrito with green chile. They also don't serve dinner so they close early (I think around 3-4pm) and expect to wait if you come for breakfast on the weekends. This place gets busy, which is great news for local businesses and absolutely worth the wait. The service is for the most part consistently good too. read more

The pancakes... oh lord, the pancakes. So amazing, and so... LARGE! This was a great place for breakfast. We had the best service here too. Our waitress was amazing and sweet. When I ordered a "breakfast" she informed me of a cheaper option for the same thing. We got the cinnamon roll and it was good, but way too much for one person (almost too much for two). We were seated in a timely fashion. We did have to wait, but it was a Sunday morning. The only issue we had was the volume. It's loud, so if you want a quiet breakfast place, don't go here. Loved our 1st trip to Wreck's! Breakfast of champions. We arrived early; before 8 on a Holiday. Seating was easy breezy. It looks like a few hours later and we would have been waiting. Service was prompt and super friendly. Our server was helpful, anticipated our needs, and was really polite. The manager stopped by to check in and we had only good things to say. The restaurant and bathrooms are very clean. The decor is kind of French Country, but the food is straight New Mexican Americana. The menu is great, lots of breakfast classics with plenty of New Mexico infused. Love the green chili on everything, but it was HOT this am :) I especially appreciated the different sizes of portions and the healthy options on the menu. I love a big breakfast but try to eat responsibly. The food arrived hot and fast. Everything we ate was delicious. The country gravy with ham and sausage was a hit for my husband. I had the sloppy bowl, hash browns, gravy, and an egg. Green chili and a tortilla on the side. It was the smaller size option and I still couldn't finish it. Enough said. It wasn't bad, pretty typical diner food. Our service was excellent- I don't think my coffee cup was ever less than half empty. The food was tasty, but the papas are just normal hashbrowns. I guess I was expecting something a little more... Unique, since that's what they're known for apparently. My favorite dish at Weck's is their Papa's. I like the carne adovada or the carnitas or the sloppy - all are great and come in a great sized portion to share. I would recommend getting both red & green on the side along with the papas. Like Blake's sometimes the hash browns/potatoes can be undercooked in places which isn't great. One time I asked for "extra crispy", but they came out almost deep fried and were almost inedible. Their cookies - which they have for sale by the checkout - are very good & so I would recommend picking up the white chocolate macadamia for a lunchtime snack. read more
