    St. Patrick's Day prep, 2025.

The produce section is great, but the cheese selection is excellent!! Any store has cheddar, American and mozzarella: This chain sells talleggio (my new favorite), Gruyere, Stilton blue cheese, and goat cheddar. There's an in-house bakery, fish department, florist, and pharmacist, as well as a cafe. I come here for my serrano ham or prosciutto di Parma: They'll slice it fresh for you.

So much cheaper for cheese than tops! I love Wegmans!

I frequent this store all the time. The last few trips were for freshly baked bread, ginger root and dragon fruit. I know I can get these items here usually without fail. I but the frozen dragon fruit. I like to eat it like that or make smoothies out of it. I purchased fresh dragon fruit but I don't care for it. Or perhaps I just had a bad couple pieces of fruit. That's possible. Subs are $17 and some change from the sub shop and that's without adding extra topping like extra meat or cheese. They're still worth it as long as the bread is soft. The last three times I ordered subs the bread was off. The outside was flaking but the inside was soft and around the edges were rough. That was one sub. The other two were semi soft. Even after toasting the bread is off. It just doesn't taste the same. Something is different and I don't care for the change.

They call it Ultimate White Cake (but man it's not ultimate in taste, nor size)

Picked up a few items today for dinner. The Ultimate White was very underwhelming. For $5.50 it's a rip off. The price was very small. The icing was very hard and tasted like wax. The cake was was crumbly (see picture) The Ultimate Carrot cake for $6 was a bit better, but a small piece. The cream cheese icing was much better on this one, and the cake was moist and had a nice spicy flavor. The Cobb Salad with chicken ($12) was uneventful. Fresh, but not a lot of chicken included.

The meatball beef sub is amazing. You know u can never go wrong with a wegmans sub. The lady making the sandwich pulled off a little bit of bread off the sub before prepping it with the food.

    Chicken Finger Sub

Had some family in from out of town today and needed to grab a quick lunch. Since they had NEVER been to a Wegmans, (crazy, I know) we went to grab some subs. They're big fans of Jersey Mikes but after eating their subs today, they might be converting to Wegmaniacs. We all got different subs but I had to get a chicken finger sub. As we all know, Wegmans makes a very large sub packed full of toppings. This was delicious and hit the spot. The only downside I have with Wegmans subs that sometimes happens is when the chicken fingers aren't as flavorful. Sometimes they just lack the flavor you would expect. Still good but noticeable. Overall, I love taking out-of-towners to Wegmans and watch them experience the best grocery store ever. They're always blown away and then that means I can get a sub too.

Wegmnas has really cheesy good cheese bread. For $6 I have been addicted to their own bakery made fresh fluffy and chewy cheese bread since college. Wegmans makes their own lots of things including Fuji apple juice and it's 52 fl oz for $6. Love this bc it's hard to find any place that sells 100% Fuji apple juice bc it's my favorite apple ever. The sandwich shop has good stuff to eat ... a little pricey if you compare w subway bc it's $15 ish for almost a foot long. But it's preference. They have a house sushi chef and lots of variety. Lots of ready to eat foods and fresh fruit and veges also. So much at Wegmans even if some stuff are a bit pricey but some things are just a Wegman thing so I am happy here. You can sit and eat here too. Bags are 7 cents each so bring your own bag and save the earth please. They have a post box right at the entrance if you don't have a mailing station near you or it's easy to put mail here while you shop. They also lend you umbrellas if it's raining! There are 4 types of carts: kids, those who need assistance w walking, a bigger cart and then a more ergonomic cart that you don't have to bend too far down for if you don't have a ton to shop for. Plus recycle bins! Great for State U of Buffalo students but still a bit pricey but not terrible either especially since they have so much variety.

This store is always so neat and clean. At a time when people are paranoid and unsure of what is happening.. I ventured here in need of some essentials and was happy I did .. I had been looking for hand sanitizer for a few days and happened upon some by checking out this store. I was impressed with the selection as well as the great customer service I recieved I was able to find hand sanitizer and some other things that had been a difficult to find !

    Best coffee shop!

I can't believe I have never reviewed our families only grocery store. Wegmans is perfect in so many ways where do I even begin...if your a wegmans shopper you have your favorite parts of the store, ours is Natures Market! I want to give Wegmans a personal shout out as to how they are handling Covid-19. Since the beginning they shut down the self serve section but you can still order pizza, subs, sushi, and coffee. They opened up all of their aisles so people have a wider space to walk in. They sectioned off the check out and have clear signs everywhere so you know what you should be doing as a customer to keep everyone safe. They also installed shields for the checkout cashiers to help keep them safer. You can rest assure shopping at Wegmans and everyone just needs a little bit of patience to help keep everyone healthy and safe during this crazy time!

What a cute little Bakery. I arrived at about 11:30am on a Sunday, parked on the street (parking…read morelimited), there were only a couple people in line before me, a few couples sitting down, maybe about eight small tables for optional seating but the place is very small, cozy feel. There were only three cinnamon rolls left... I was going to buy all three but then I overheard the little girl behind me say she wanted one so I only ordered two. Try a cinnamon roll, they're so yummy, cost about $5.75, a 16oz house coffee was $3.75. I ordered the two cinnamon rolls, a piece of a carrot cake (WOW), slice of a pumpkin roll and a large chocolate chip cookie. All equally delicious in their own right! They were packaged to go in a large cake box for me, which I appreciate so nothing got squished during the ride back home. In total I spent $29.50 and didn't feel bad about it, I needed some sugar in my life that was worth eating, I try not to eat carbs anymore as a personal diet preference and I feel amazing but if you're going to eat them, let them be worth every bite so you don't regret it. Anyway, I love this spot. I did attempt to chat it up with the woman taking my order, she was very nice.

Gabrielle's used to be my favorite place in the Village of Lancaster. I supported them constantly…read more They have wonderful gluten free baked goods, as well as great breakfast sandwiches with a gluten free roll, if one so chooses. I will discuss three different run ins with Gabrielle's. First one - I went there in January to grab some sweets for a little crafting party I was hosting. I ordered both gluten free items and non gluten free items. The woman working, who was new, proceeds to ask me if she can put the non gf and the gf in one container. I said absolutely not. How can you not be trained on this, or not know not to do that. Why would I be ordering gf items, if I'm going to agree to put them in the same container. It defeats the purpose. Second time - Valentine's Day. My husband and I had a tradition of going to support Gabrielle's on Valentine's Day because they offered different gf items and a romantic atmosphere. This was our third time attending since living in the village. We arrived right when they opened, and they weren't opened yet, which was fine. When the owner unlocked the door, she wasn't very friendly. I let it slide, and continued to choose to visit Gabrielle's because I loved the baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. Third time - I stopped in on my way to an event to get a breakfast sandwich. It was about 10 minutes after they opened on a Saturday. It was quite busy there. There were roughly 2 or 3 tables occupied throughout my half hour stay.  Most notably there was a mom and daughter there. I'll get back to that in a minute. When I arrived, I was the only one at the counter. The same girl from the first not great encounter was making coffee behind the counter. That is fine. What wasn't fine, was that she didn't acknowledge me at all and I waited there awkwardly to put my order in for a good 5 minutes. Weird, that you wouldn't say, "Hi, it will just be a minute, as I'm working on another order,"  or something like that. The owner also came out of the kitchen during this time and took several Door Dash orders, but also didn't acknowledge me standing there. All I needed was a Hi, I'll be right with you. Something. I felt like a ghost. Fast forward, woman takes my order. It is for a gluten free breakfast sandwich. I sit down and wait. I wait for a solid half hour for my breakfast sandwich to be complete. During this time, the mother and daughter duo go up to the counter and say that they told the woman when they ordered that they needed to get everything by 9am, and it was 9am, and they still hadn't gotten their sandwiches yet. Why does it take a half hour to make 2 breakfast sandwiches?! They finally get their order and leave. The woman goes from the kitchen to the counter and is yelling to the owner, "If they wanted their food faster, they should have went to Tim Hortons." There was me and about 2 other tables present for that. I thought that statement was absolutely horrific and disgusting. Everyone who came through Gabrielle's and who goes to Gabriele's chooses to spend their money locally. To help a local family and support their business. To say that in front of customers, is abhorrent. I finally got my breakfast sandwich and left. I ruminated this for a while and decided against posting this review and emailing them directly about how this comment was unwarranted and not ok and the employee should be reprimanded. I received no reply back. This happened in February and it is now May. I have not received any acknowledgement regarding that my comment was received. I can only take it as the owner and employees don't care. Thus, I'm posting my review.   Not to mention that they claim to sell fresh bread on Saturdays, and there were a couple customers who arrived asking to purchase the fresh bread, and were told it was still rising and would be ready around 1 pm or so. What?! You would think they would be more in a hurry to get their bread out on a Saturday morning. That is when people want to eat fresh bread. It breaks my heart that I can't support this business anymore because the baked goods are so delicious, but I'm going to support other local businesses that value their customer base and are happy that the customers who walk through their doors want to support local.
