I had two rolls that didn't have mock seafood (I never liked seafood and now don't eat mock) so maybe for folks who miss seafood those rolls are better. Great option if you're looking for sushi with veggie/vegan choices! We had the seaweed salad, the fried spring rolls, the krunchy krab roll, and the ebi tempura roll. The stars were the salad and the spring roll, excellently tasty. The rolls were tasty and we loved the crunch on the krab roll, but the veggie meat substitutes were, to me, gummy and not a particularly pleasing texture. On another visit I might opt for a more purely veggie roll. Ordering and payment are done on a large touch screen, but the folks behind the counter were pleasant and helpful. The ambience is pretty downscale but there are several tables inside plus a couple on the sidewalk outside the entrance. Overa a good experience and we plan to go back. read more

So glad that Wellness Sushi now has their own spot. Location is great too next to Twist and Shout. Everything on the menu is worth a try with so many different flavors and texture combinations. Don't be scared of any of the vegan substitutions as you won't tell the difference at all! It's also very clean with a pleasant atmosphere. Staff is awesome as well! The food is excellent, especially when dining in and eating it fresh. The rolls are creative and and everything is delicious. Why only three stars? The problem is the service. I've been eating Wellness Sushi since they were only selling pre-made rolls in some Choice Market locations, when they later had a small place inside a Choice Market location, when they had their temp kitchen space, and now that they have their new permanent space. I've dined in about four times. During my last visit (Feb 2023) they replaced the the role of host/cashier with a computer. It's incredibly impersonal. You order at a touch screen and pay at the touch screen, even for dining in. You grab your own table settings and table. There's no water station. The tables were not being bussed or cleaned unless someone asked. I'll likely switch to carry out only. Food is five stars, service is one star. read more

This is a frustrating review to write because I consider the ramen at Wellness Sushi to be my favorite in the city. That being said, the service/environment in their new location really needs a lot of work. 1st) We had a party of 5 and 4 of the meals came out right away, and 1 just never did. I finally got up and asked about it, and there wasn't even an apology he was more just annoyed. Also one of the ramens came with nice chopsticks and none of the others did, idk what that's about? 2) All of the tables were a mess and there weren't even any napkins available. 3) there's no water out so you have to ask for it, and it's this small cup so I had to get up and bother them for water multiple times. I love supporting restaurants like Wellness with a vegan focus - but I just can't see myself going back when that's the experience. This little business, is the Little Business that Could and DID!!! They offer the freshest tasting, most beautiful sushi anywhere. This is maybe their third address and now they have found a place to call their own. I have been lucky enough to travel to many places; I have not been everywhere, true. But, of the many cities and countries I have been to Wellness Sushi is the very best. I have never been disappointed...ever. We are vegan and so we are pleased to have the best sushi place ever, near enough to visit pretty regularly. Hope they grow and everyone can experience their wonderful, beautiful recipes. Sushi was unmatched (...disclaimer: I've never had vegan sushi though) and the ramen was solid. ++ The 2 rolls (ebi shrimp tempura, crab) we had we gobbled up and would not have been able to distinguish very much from their non-vegan counterparts. + Plating, toppings/garnish, and ginger/wasabi/soy sauce were all spot-on, even in take-out form + The take-out packaging for the ramen was probably the best I've ever seen for noodle soup dishes + Ramen noodles and add-ins (bamboo shoots, little meaty bits, spring onion, etc.) had great texture and flavor. ~ I wish there were more veggie toppings on the ramen bowl, though (only 1 bok choy leaf?) ~ Tonkotsu broth was too sweet for me. Creamy and multilayered, yes. But I sipped it first before mixing in the noods and add-ins and immediately thought "cookies and cream". My sister really enjoyed it though -- she's had more vegan ramen than I have and it was still close to the top for her. I'd be interested to try their other 2 broths. - Wait was long! They are not providing a safe environment for anyone in that building it's like 95 degrees inside the building it was literally humid. It's offensive. It's illegal. They have the audacity to charge these prices while your employees are sweating in the food cause you can't provide ac for your employees. FOR THE RECORD I do NOT blame the employees for the HOUR AND A HALF WAIT for 3 rolls!!! I blame the manager for making these poor employees work for two days without ac while it's 95 degrees outside and at LEAST 100 inside. It was so gross that customers were disgusted to sit inside and were. It also stank so bad which causes concern for the quality of the food they are serving at this point. Best sushi you can get in Denver AND it's all plant-based! It's so hard to find good vegan sushi that isn't just an avocado roll or a cucumber roll. Their menu is clearly labeled for food allergies/sensitivities and they have many gluten free options. I will drive an hour from my house in the foothills just to get their onigiri. It's somehow even better than their regular sushi. My wife discovered Wellness sushi at a choice market downtown a couple of years ago and we've been following them from location to location ever since. Hoping they're able to stay at their new location for awhile without any problems. Their new location is great and near plenty of other things to do. Would definitely recommend this place to any plant-based sushi fans. read more

Wellness sushi is amaaaaazing! I randomly found it by searching for vegan sushi in Denver. I honestly want to try every single one of their rolls, but for my first time, I stuck with just two different types. I tried both the kakiage supreme roll & the hot flamingo roll. They were both unreal. They tasted so fresh, and I love this restaurant's take on vegan fish. I highly recommend this to anyone that is plant-based, but I think any sushi lover would like this restaurant's sushi!!! I can't wait to go back and try the rest of their rolls. read more

I've never had vegan sushi but I'm definitely going to again now. I ordered the fiery philly and my wife ordered the spicy tonkatsu. Both were delicious. I didn't miss meat at all this was a brand new category of food for me. The fiery philly didn't have any meat substitute but delicious fresh cucumber and avocado with thinly sliced mango on top. The jalepeño inside was well trimmed adding some spice but nothing over the top. The spicy tonkatsu had thick rich broth with noodles to the perfect Al dente texture with a meat substitute that was also very tasty read more

Was told they couldn't make what I'd ordered and asked if I was allergic to something else I'd already specifically said that I didn't want. I returned the unopened canned drink and they said they would cancel my order. They still charged my card. Always get a receipt at this place. If I go back, it'll just be to address the incorrect transaction. I've had a couple of instances of mediocre or bad service since my initial review. It's too bad, because I liked the idea and the food was pretty good. As some others have mentioned, cleanliness can be an issue here, especially with the number signs being reused by different customers without being cleaned and the tables are often dirty and not wiped down. read more
