Came in with symptoms of sore throat, chest pain, and swollen lymph nodes. Provider did not do any strep or Covid testing. They just told me it must be post-nasal drip/ some sort of respiratory infection. Immediately went to a different immediate care and tested positive for strep. They do not know how to take care of their patients. Would not recommend. read more

I had a 12noon appointment, arrived at 11:40am. Waited to be called, 12:40 taken in. Nurse followed up at 1:30pm. Nurse practitioner came back at 2;20pm. Total in and out time 5 mins. I was out by 2;50 pm. Pack your patience, patients... terrible system and I felt other patients that came after me was seen before me. Please remember I had a 12noon appointment and walk in are walk in they don't have a schedule appointment. Staff is courteous and caring and concerned why you are seeing them. they said that they are taking our insurance. I checked with the insurance company and they never claimed . But they made me sign that they will charge my credit card without my consent. . I'm still in here waiting for a test to be finished. I came with my boyfriend to get him checked up because he has been feeling ill and everyone has been very kind. They just informed us how they've changed from an urgent care to a well now. I'm not sure if that means different management or anything, but I looked at the reviews and assumed that because everyone here is wonderful and reviews from a few months ago said otherwise. I'm not even the patient and I'm very satisfied with how they handle their patients. :) I'd also like to shout out Donna. She is very uplifting and gives off a great energy. I'd definitely come back here if I wasn't feeling well. Don't let the older reviews fool you! I really hate to give a bad review. Went in had negative COVID tests at home. I have COPD, felt I had symptoms of pneumonia. Thick green flem, stuffy nose. Difficulty with my breathing. I started at home my nebulizer. Took prednisone for few days. When she took my BP it was high. When the PA came in he said you need to go to er rule out heart attack. Your short of breath. I asked him to listen to my lungs. He said I need to go to Hosp. Ok I get the liability aspect but you should if listened to my lungs. I did not go to er. I HAVE PNEUMONIA. 1. You take BP. 2 you take temp. 3. You listen with that stethoscope around you neck and listen to one's chest. Then you can tell me go to ER. ZERO stars. If I could I would give this place 0 stars . I never write reviews but I feel I have to inform other people of this place , please do yourself a favor and never go there . Horrible experience I had with them . I went there with my kid he was sick with high fever for 4 days I could not get him in with his doctor so I took him there . They tested him for flu , Covid , strap all came out negative , they gave him nothing just send us home , 2 days later he end up in hospital with Covid, flu and infected lungs . I don't think they tested well , I don't think they do anything there , this place is a joke , it's there only to get your insurance money or your money , this is not real health care place . They also told me at the front desk that they take my insurance and they charged me $40 copay than 2 months later they charged my credit card . They never claimed my insurance they just went and charged my credit card without me knowing . Now it's been two months and they won't give me my money back on my credit card . The worse experience I ever had in my life . Walk miles away from this place . They are not clinic to help you they are there just to take your money . read more

This is my first ever online review. I am posting because I just received exceptional care from WellNow on Harlem in Norridge. I didn't even sit down in their waiting room, got right in. They addressed my concerns and spent time teaching me a little about what might be going on with me. I felt heard, thoroughly evaluated and I left with a care plan. PA Donna Klinger was great. The entire staff came across as compassionate and professional. The facility was clean and patient friendly. I would definitely utilize this clinic again if urgent care is needed and recommend it to anyone. read more

everyone at this facility was great. Front desk, Dr's tech & Nurse Practitioner. Polite, understanding & thorough. I wasn't rushed. I was a walk-in yesterday so the wait was long, but that's to be expected this time of year. They give you your place inline by cell, so you dont have to stay & wait. I took my daughter here who is a 9 year old with Autism, for a cough she had worsening for weeks. I initially brought her here for her first visit on a Monday and came in for followup one week later when she was still getting worse. The first visit I saw Donna Klingler and she appeared attentive and concerned sent us home with antibiotics rx. When I came back the following Monday and my daughter was coughing badly first few minutes, same doctor Donna Klingler ran out into waiting area and demanded to know who was coughing so badly. When she saw my daughter again recognizing us she had a condescending tone and asked "where's her primary care provider?!" I explained it was hard to get a same day appointment with them and thought it was best to bring her to place that treated her initially. She seemed frazzled was complaining of too many patients then tells me impatiently to remove my daughters unicorn hoodie which she always wears for comfort item. They sat her in chair started checking her vitals as if she was high risk. Her O2 was 93 her heart rate was high her cough was terrible she was apparently not well. They added us to queue and we had to then wait an hour and half in car before seen. After talking to another girl while in the room finally about what's going on, the PA Klingler came in with a nebulizer stating she needed breathing treatment. My daughter was scared of the mask and loud sounds at first and Klingler started forcefully trying to put the mask on her, again impatient and complaining about medicine running out the longer she takes. I told her turn off the machine I will help her calmly put it on and get comfortable with it then turn it on which worked, she got the medicine. After that I was told she needed to take a syringe of clear liquid medicine dexamethasone. I gave it to her and she immediately rejected the taste and could not control urge to vomit after that. My daughter always is very good about taking her pills and liquid medicine at home never have problem so I know this must have really tasted bad to her. Klingler made a big deal about her vomiting up the medicine and as if her vomiting came from the infection she had. She hasn't vomited at home at all whole time she was sick just coughed had fevers lethargic. I know my daughter well. She at that point tells me we can't be treated there have to go to the ER. I told her nearest ER was Presence on Talcott and she kept wanting me to go to somewhere else. Finally she iffily said ok if her doctors are there go there. I was ready to take her in my car 5 min down the road to the closest hospital when she tells me she needs to go by ambulance she doesn't feel comfortable letting us leave. My daughter had never been in one I was worried she would freak out and said I prefer to drive her promised we'd head straight there. She left for minute came back said she already called the ambulance and are on way to leave my car in lot. I want to add that she also had an X-ray done at clinic but Klingler could not tell me what it was just abnormal looking would be hours to read, understandable I guess. When I got to ER the doctor there said no one told them she had an X-ray and they weren't sure after checking her out she needed one. They monitored her vitals we waited a while of course got meds went home. I was out 8 hours that day between everything had to have my husband take me at night to get my car after picking us up. None of this was necessary my daughter took the steroid with juice just fine at hospital because it masked taste. That's all. All of this was totally blown out of proportion I was treated rudely and my daughter was too. The other staff at wellcare were great, just not this PA. To add one final note, I called twice to find out what was on her X-ray there after all and no one called me back. 2 days later I insisted answers. Was just a viral upper respiratory infection no pneumonia. Thankfully. Klingler wrote in our online chart that she was suspected to have been exposed to COVID to top it all off when she had not been at all and was negative for COVID! Please do not see this woman if you have a sick child. read more

Avoid this location if you can. I went today at 1 PM because I was having difficulty breathing due to a bad cold. (I have asthma). The nurse Nicole prescribed me an enhaler and I have now been on the phone with this office 4 times and my pharmacy 4 times. The well now urgent care office said that they would leave a voicemail with the pharmacy if nobody answered when they tried calling as a third attempt to get my prescription sent in and when I spoke to the pharmacist at Jewel-Osco, they told me that there are no voicemails and that they have been answering every call today. I spoke to Nicole directly on the phone, the nurse who saw me, and she told me there was nothing she can do and told me I would have to wait an hour for her voicemail that she left to get through to the pharmacy. This is for an emergency enhaler, something I need to be able to breathe! This is a pressing matter and I left the clinic at 2 PM. She also did not offer a nebulizer treatment which has been offered to me before at other urgent cares when I have had to go for asthma. I have heard good things about other WellNow locations, I just recommend to avoid this one. read more

Disorganized and argumentative and disrespectful staff member. Don't bother to come to this location. This has been the worst experience to a so-called Urgent Care center. First of all, i had preregistered via their appointment application providing the facility with front and back of my driver's license and my Humana HMO Gold plus with is a Medicare replacement plan. There were two employees at the front desk as i arrived. The young lady informed me my insurance is not covered there. I asked why you didn't tell me my insurance would not cover the facility, especially since Humana is listed as an insurance they accept. I also informed her it is a Medicare replacement HMO Plan. She then asked me to have a seat so she can speak to her manager. She called me over and informed me they did take my insurance after all. At this point i asked her to call Humana Member Service number on the back of the card with the facility tax id number. The young lady indicated that she doesn't need to call as her manager already said it was covered. I was taken to a room and the door was closed. After waiting in the room for a while i opened the door as it was pretty warm in the room and 95 degrees outside. Finally, an argumentative employee/ Dr assistant i suppose as she did not identify herself. Can you belief the first thing that came out of her mouth was "Why did you open the door?" I was so dumb founded when she indicated doors should be closed because patient information is being discussed and it would be a HIPPA violation. i could not believe this nurse assistant was reprimanding me. I informed the young lady that it is the responsibility of provider to make sure they are using their library voice when speaking to patients or each other go back in the patients' room and close the door so they can have a conversation with the patient. It really didn't matter whether a patient is on a Gurney in an emergency room hallway or the use of curtains as patient room dividers. She indicated all the doors in patient rooms should be kept closed because the clinical staff can be heard. I had to get up and leave the room and the facility. I had to leave without treatment for my medical complaint. Don't bother to go to this location if you don't want to be disrespected and aggravated. read more

Don't bother to go to this location, if you're looking to get turned away. I brought my 3-year-old daughter in this evening since she had a fever and complained of an earache. I booked my appointment online but I thought it was strange since they allowed me to book an appointment after they closed at 8 pm. Since, I wasn't sure I decided to head to the clinic before they closed since they take walk-ins. I arrived at 7:35 pm, there was no one waiting in the waiting area. When I tried to check in the assistant tells me she needs to ask the provider if my child can be seen even though they don't close til 8 pm. Needless, to say the provider declined to see my daughter and that I can go to the Melrose location since they are open til 11 pm. I couldn't believe that they would just turn us away like that. There is no signage or anything that states when they stop taking patients at a certain time. I asked for a manager but no one was available. As soon as I walked out they closed all the blinds and turned the front lights off. I ended up driving all the way to Melrose park which was not close by. Thankfully the staff at the Melrose place were super nice & were able to take care of my daughter. I won't be going back to the Norridge location ever again. Stay away!
