I grew up going here and this place is a landmark in the community! The initial atmosphere is great, there is plenty of room for your group and the service is very polite and helpful! We went here for a casual meal which worked perfect for us! The food and drinks are better then we expected! The appetizers also match for a great overall meal! I suggest trying some of the dessert because it's worth it, if you have room! Whether it's alcoholic drinks or regular drinks everything is cold and refreshing and you will not be disappointed! read more

Local donut place. They have sandwiches and bagels but we come for the donuts. They're great about adding special themed donuts, red velvet cake and bacon maple bar have been among our favorite special editions. Their coffee is fine. Hit and miss it mostly miss....we get a few donuts once a month for the kids (and maybe for us too). Sometimes they are 3 star but most the time they are stale. I mean if you can't get a fresh box of donuts on a Saturday am from your local donut shop...why bother??!! I guess we'll have to head all the way to DP for the freshest just fried donuts! These guys stink, I had a yelp coupon- "buy anything and get a free glaze doughnut" and these guys wouldn't honor it. They said we took that coupon off yelp a while ago. I told them that you're looking at the physical coupon and it's in front of you. Long store short, these guys wouldn't honor a $1 doughnut but they can over charge on everything else. Especially when these crooks won't give you receipts (even after asking for it). I can definitely say that I will never return to this cheap place again. read more

This was my 1st visit, but not my last. The service was great, greeted as I walked in the door. Had a BLT, with avocados and jalapeños, on rye, was very good and fast. Originally I had planned to go to Subway, also in the shopping center, but no parking. This shop is on the side facing Ortega Hwy, kinda away from the main stream and easily missed. For Valentines Day, I was to receive a delivery from a purchase made at 1-800-Flowers. Wendi's Donuts came to my place of business (VERY CLEARLY in a BUSINESS PARK in San Clemente) at 5:38 on a Friday evening. As if that wasn't ridiculous enough, come Monday morning, there was a note left on the door that said they attempted to come back to the very SAME business, in the very same VACANT business park, on BOTH Saturday and Sunday. My coworkers and I go here all the time. They have much more than donuts. They have breakfast sandwiches, fruits and vegetables, and a lunch menu. They just started a rewards program which I am very excited about! The food is delicious, I highly recommend it. read more

Donuts were good but there are many other donut shops on par or better within a 2-3 mile radius. Also, I never really bother asking about donut prices but I noticed my customary half-dozen order was a couple bucks more than the other donut shops I've been to in the area. A month ago I would have given this place 5 stars! But this morning's interactions with Wendi's Donut will stop me from coming back... It was a little busy this morning (3 people in the store) ...My BF was looking over the menu and finally decided on a bagel w/cream cheese. The younger asian lady worker was very SNAPPY at us...she was annoyed we didnt pay first and then put in the order ? I dont really know what her problem was ... she was muttering something about there being construction and traffic this morning ? The thing that annoyed me was that the older couple (im guessing her parents) was still very professional, sweet, and friendly to all the customers ! She was the only lashing out at customers (SO RUDE !) As we were waiting for our food we witness her SNAPPING at ANOTHER customer.. as he was walking back to sit down at his table ..She turns around to her (dad ?) and starts talking sh*t on him (something about how he didnt know what he was ordering and now complaining about the wrong order ) !! he's only a couple of feet away.. ! WTF ? NEVER AGAIN am I coming here ! I'll take my business and go to Pink Ribbon Donuts down the street ! read more

the donuts are soo good, They always taste fresh and not oily, i love getting the eclairs here. i try to stop by as much as I can.

Picked up two Vineyard salads from Wendi's, one for my boss and one for myself. The description of the salad is lettuce, grilled chicken, walnuts, dried cranberries and feta cheese served with raspberry vinaigrette for $6.49. When I got there to pick them up, The guy held up a tiny little container of ranch dressing and said sorry we ran out of raspberry vinaigrette. What!? The raspberry vinaigrette is really what makes the entire salad. When he totaled my bill it came to $15.31 and I asked why since the salads are $6.49 each and he said "tax." But in reality the price of the salads went up to $7.09 so he said he printed so many menus with the old price that he didn't want to waste them. What I ended up getting was a big giant container of iceberg lettuce with walnuts a couple cranberries on the bottom that had no flavor. The chicken was not grilled, there was no feta and without the raspberry vinaigrette the salad tasted like cardboard. It might've been doable if the dressing was decent but it tasted like watered down mayonnaise and it was disgusting. If I would've known it was going to be $15, I would've just ran over to Coco's and gotten a couple Cobb salads for basically the same price, somewhere I can always trust to have produced a good salad. The gentleman at the donut shop should have given me a heads up as to running out of the raspberry vinaigrette but instead tried to pawn off some gross ass salad that was just basically iceberg lettuce. I took a couple bites and threw it in the trash and was super embarrassed in front of my boss since I bragged about how good Wendi's was. And yeah you're right, there's never any donuts in there at 10 o'clock in the morning. read more

Best French cruller I've had from a donut shop in California. The staff is friendly. I would avoid the chicken salad sandwich, but the breakfast sandwiches are fine. The pastrami is also pretty decent. read more

I absolutely love this place. Everyone is SO friendly. Even the owner is so sweet! They seem to know all the customers and everyone is always happy and cheerful with them. Great donuts excellent service, wait time is excellent and the variety of different and creative donuts, muffins, croissant, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, smoothies, coffee's, and a great selection of grab and run drinks. The shop is sparkling clean. Most morning there is a line out the door with a wait time of no more than two minutes for a donut and five minutes for a breakfast sandwich or toasted bagel. The amount of business this little shop gets from 6 different schools along with the working class should show anyone how great this shop is. I honestly can not think of any thing this donut shop needs to improve on. Its already perfection. read more

Been going to wendi's 8 years now. Great variety of snack, breakfast, sandwiches, donuts, drinks, etc. They mark up their prices a bit and their coffee sucks, but besides that I continue to go back there. Great people, good food, and my choice cheap food place over fast food any day. read more
