Double stack that was supposed to have ketchup and mustard and extra onion on it...
    Will H.

A couple of days post-visit update: Wendy's reached out and is sending me some coupons. Thanks to Steph for responding to feedback quickly and to Jessica for keeping an eye on Yelp! I shall share with you my character-limited correspondence to Wendy's regarding this evening's experience. I should add that the majority of the order was correct, but getting the wrong drink really was a bummer. Also, ordering on the mobile app is a pain because their coupons don't always apply. "Pro tip:" pick your coupon first, then order items. The app isn't smart enough to work the other way. If they provided the correct beverage, the $5 double stack wouldn't be an awful deal. The beef patties are paper thin, but tasted ok and I'm not experiencing gastric distress yet. Small fry was surprisingly satisfying, just the right amount in my (and my cardiovascular system's) book. Spicy nuggets are indeed spicy and the s'awesome sauce is highly recommended. It's like a barbecuey, Smokey, honey mustardy remoulade. Anyway, here goes. Let's see if they follow up: Hi. I ordered Wendy's today for the first time in a while. Unfortunately, the order had a mistake in the combo meal, an error that truly ruined what was to be a tasty birthday eve treat. What happened? My combo meal was ordered with an "UNSWEETENED iced tea." I trusted the store to have provided me this when they handed me the beverage. Much to my chagrin, the first sip of my drink upon returning home was met with the saccharine notes of SWEET tea, ruining my night. Please make this right! Thank you.

Went saturday and sunday. Both times put salt on my fries. The second time they forgot my fries. Both times no receipt for the irs. One of the times gave me reg instead of spicy nuggets. One of the times, the meat was not cooked thoroughly. Wasted half a large fry. I always make simple orders, no sauces, extra add-ons, everything plain jane, just trying to make life easy for everyone. Did i complain? Nope. did i say anything? Nope.... why even bother. Just cut and run the madness...

This Wendy's is a good location. Open 24 hours for the midnight fry and frosty fix. They are pretty busy all day long so they are constantly making food non-stop. The downfall to the constant food production is that sometimes they make so much, a burger may sit around and get luke warm. I did just have a cool temp burger and nuggets, however when i brought it the their attention, they immediately made sure i got fresh 'hot and juicy' food. Not a big deal but does need patience. Since i ate inside it was not that big a deal, if i went to the drive through and then hopped on the Turnpike before i took a bite, i would be very upset. Food quality was consistent with other Wendy's and the 4th star was for customer service and fixing the mistake like a pro!

Greasy double that looks like someone sat on it.

I walked in and stood at the counter for a good 3 or 4 minutes, completely ignored by the staff behind the counter. Itsnot like they didn't see me, either. 2 employees made eye contact with me, didn't say a word, and then turned away. I finally noticed the kiosks to the right of the counter and went over there to place my order. Food came out in adequate time, but even though I selected "dine in" on the screen, my food was handed to me in a paper bag. Food was only ok. Burger wasn't put together very well, and looked like someone had sat on it. This place pretty much sucks. I'll go somewhere else from now on.

Theses are cold fries they are advertised as being "fresh".

Theses are cold fries they are advertised as being "fresh". I just don't respect the dishonesty and disrespect to lie and give people cold food.

Birthday cake = 1.19$, it's actually 1.99$, this was on thanksgiving.

I mean it's a McDonalds, not a 5 star restaurant. You at least expect when you place an order that…read moreyou receive exactly what you pay for. Regularly this location forgets to bag the drinks when you order. Normally we will catch this but being that we had it delivered today there was no chance. Its honestly not that hard to check the slip and see what needs to be bagged but they manage to regularly forget the drinks. Food was correct at least and was your typical McDonalds quality, nothing special but not terrible.

OVERHYPED, FADDISH CHICKEN SANDWICH REVIEW: So, the "sandwich wars" of 2020…read moreCarry over into 2021. Insert hackneyed "2020 sucks" follow-up quip here. Getting to the point: the latest chicken sandwich from McDonald's doesn't hold a candle to the superior offerings from Popeyes, Chick-fil-a, et al. Its bun smelled nice in the bag, but tasted the usual "McDonald's stale" and lacked flavor. The chicken patty wasn't as large as advertised, and didn't taste any different from their previous iteration, the "southern style chicken sandwich." Photos of that failure were previously posted here by me. There was no butter on the bun. Even the pickles had no snap, as if they too were over the hill before making it to their coming out ball. Perhaps the spicy iteration is somehow different? I doubt it. Cost was $3.89 for the sandwich only. I'd pony up the extra 10 cents and find a Popeyes if you want a palatable, even tasty chicken sandwich. Otherwise, settle for a different McDonald's staple that they execute with more experience and precision. For some of us, every dime counts. The disappointment rendered by McDonald's failing to fulfill the potential within this latest menu item cannot be given a price. The hit to your wallet, waistline and psyche simply isn't worth it.

Food here has never let me down! Regardless of what some reviews say, it would be a travesty to…read moretaste buds to add salt to the already flavorful marinated chicken. Should taste like chicken, not salt. And I am a big fan of salt. Skip the Cane's sauce. Personally, I wouldn't even go near that coagulate. It stinks to high heaven. If I would happen to add anything, I'd add some of their hot sauce to dip my fries in. Also always order the garlic bread toasted on both sides. Delicious! Previously had good service, but when I came in this time, three staff members looked at me standing to place an order and walked away to sweep, talk to peers. I had to move my head forward toward the kitchen and ask if anyone was running the cashiers. Apparently only paying attention to drive through and kitchen maintenance. Once I flagged them down and got their attention, they were responsive and professional. Was going to applaud management that they finally stopped blasting their music on the PA at levels to reach the Space Station, but as I write this, they just turned the volume back up:( For the food quality and taste (minus their sauce) will always return. Beats Chick Fillet any day.

This Friday I found myself at a Raising Cane's in Burlington, New Jersey, which as far as I know…read morehas never been the setting for any great epics, unless you count the war between people who like coleslaw and people who don't. I was there with my son. He had just finished his volunteer work, and we were both hungry. Hunger makes philosophers of us all. I had read the reviews. Many of them said things like "the service is terrible" and "this place is a mess" and "the toast was a war crime." These people must have been living in a parallel dimension, because what we experienced was very nearly delightful. My son got the Box Combo. That's four chicken fingers, a pile of fries, a slab of Texas toast, a little dish of coleslaw, and a drink. He chose sweet tea because he's no fool. He told me beforehand he didn't want the slaw. Kids these days. So I took it. I'm the father. That's what we do. He liked it all. Said the chicken was hot and tender inside. The Texas toast got a nod of approval. That means a lot from a kid who does not pull punches when it comes to food. I got the Three Finger Combo. Fewer fingers but still enough to remind you that you're alive. Fries, toast, sweet tea. No frills, just hot food done well. When the food came up, someone shouted "Hot fresh chicken for Jerry!" They weren't lying. That chicken was blistering. Had to let it cool for a minute or two before my mouth could handle it. Once I did, I found it juicy and delicious. People speak of Cane's Sauce like it's the nectar of gods. I found it fine. Not worth composing sonnets over, but pleasant. The chicken pieces were a bit on the smaller side. That's not a complaint. Quality over quantity, folks. Give me a smaller thing done well over a big one done half-heartedly any day. The slaw was cold and creamy and fresh. I liked it. It's the kind I like, chunky, not obliterated into tiny pieces. No one will write a song about it, but I'd eat it again. The sweet tea was sweet tea. You know what that means. If you don't, move south for a summer and you'll learn. The service was excellent. I mean it. The woman who seemed to be in charge was sharp and kind. She took our order and later came by while we were eating, asking if everything was good. It was. That kind of check-in might not seem like much, but it reminded me that humans are still out here trying. The dining room was clean. It was well-lit. It was also about five degrees colder than the surface of the moon. My son and I sat there with goosebumps on our arms like it was some sort of poultry-themed Arctic expedition. Still, I'd come back. I'd even bring a sweater. Sometimes good chicken and good company are enough to make you forget the cold. Almost.
