I eat at Wendy's more than I'd care to admit. This is not one of their better locations. Located on an eternally busy corner of Folsom and Power Inn Road, it's hard to access, usually crowded at peak hours and the consistency of the food quality is hit or miss. The main reason folks get fast food is reliability. You want the same burger/fries/nuggets/frosty as last time, cooked the same way. on my last visit, the fries I picked up at the drive-thru were cold and I had to circle around, walk inside and wait for a new order. Sometimes the burgers look great, sometimes they look like abstract art and are just as hard to eat. Ugh I am so bummed out, this place is usually packed, super long line in the drive through so you know the food is good but today the younger male taking my order in the drive through and took my money and gave me my food was super rude! Took my money and handed me a bag and then shut the window, not saying ok, that's all have a nice day or anything! I only come here for the convenience of being next to Sac State and for the few times I've come, about half the time I'm disappointed. Sometimes I get a salad without the dressing or a baked potato without the sour cream. During the drive thru I've experienced getting a drink without a straw and again with the potato without the toppings. I usually don't mind but today I ordered the 6 piece chicken nuggets and a large chili. Honestly the workers can't count to six? Came home to finding 4 nuggets with 3/4 a container of chili. Advice to all who must go here, don't. Ordering inside takes forever and both drive thru and dining in, the workers often make mistakes. read more

In hopes of finding a clean, calm rest spot on the way to Tahoe, we stopped at this modest Wendy's. Luckily, the entire restaurant was immaculate. I wanted a snack to hold me over until dinner and the friendly Wendy's cashier allowed me to order the kid's meal with spicy chicken nuggets, apple slices, and 100% apple juice. The nuggets were piping hot and perfect with the sweet & sour sauce, my favorite sugary dip of all fast food chains. The sliced apples were surprisingly crunchy and seemed as fresh as pre-sliced fruit can get. The only disappointment was the lack of napkins in my to-go bag which I didn't notice until we were back on the road. Overall, quick, successful pit stop. read more

Chili with onions and a baked potato please! I'm not usually in the area and I never really see other Wendy's locations, so when I'm cruising around the neighborhood, I almost always stop in for some chili and a potato. The service has always been quick and friendly, they've never messed up my order, and they don't break my bank - what more could you ask from a fast food joint? Once in a while their dining room is kind of messy and gross, even when they don't seem that busy. Something about the location attracts a special brand of crazy, so there's always a WTF moment when you eat in. More amusing than anything. I'll be back. The visits are few and few between, but I will be back. read more

Have not been to Wendy's in California in a couple years. Hamburger seems microwaved. Rubbery texture, bun not fresh, etc. Use to be able to come in and grab off the alacarte menu. I did not see it there this time, but gave it a go. Small plain cheeseburger, chili, frosty. $9 and change? For real? Quality has tanked and prices doubled. I'm done. Busy spot next to Home Depot. Let me start by saying the food is like all Denny's. You didn't come here for something new, I know I came here for the spicy chicken sandwich. But this location for some reason is infested with Bums, inside and out. The kind that hold signs and ask for everything from food to money while attempting to pass through the doors. So it was late at night and my roommate and I decided to go get some Wendy's. As I'm entering through the drive-through there's a sign that say "cash only cards inside". It was too late for me to leave and back out of the drive-through because there was a car behind me and still asked the cashier if I could just order and if you could just take my card and he said no you're just gonna have to drive through... and it was closed so obviously I couldn't get my food. Went here because it was close to the Home Depot we just shopped at. Ordered three large combos. After a short wait we got to the window, paid, and were handed two of the drinks. I immediately took a sip and realized I had been given a diet instead of a regular coke. When she opened the window with the third drink I gave mine back and told her it was diet. She said "Are you sure?" Um yeah. Diet tastes LOTS different than regular. She then said "I swear I poured from regular" got a small cup and tasted it. She looked at the cup, and then handed it to another employee who also tasted it. Both made faces at the taste. She came back to the window and told me something was wrong with the soda machine, that it was almost out of syrup, and asked if there was something else I wanted instead. I said I'd take Dr Pepper if the coke was gone. She closed the window again. She came back a minute later with the food, handed it to us and closed the window again. And we waited And waited. How hard is it to walk to the other machine in the lobby and pour a soda...??? We looked at each other and started questioning whether maybe they sent someone out to McDonalds to get a soda when she came back to the window, handed me a large soda, and said "sorry 'bout that." As we were driving away I took a sip and it was the same diet tasting stuff from before. My boyfriend thinks she just handed me back the same drink with a new straw. I was suprised to see a full crew on the kitchen staff, but only one counter server... We had a bit of a line on this Sunday night with a few large orders. I feel the pressure naturally to resolve the back up, but this crew didnt seem to experience this at all. (-3 stars)floors were sticky and obviously had a tough day. I am unclear: I asked for Chili with onions and NO CHEESE. Why did my chili suddenly become un-edible because of this mistake after I specified..? Then again, Luis looks tired, I think he needs a break after several uncovered "yawns" serving the front counter and confirming my "thank you" after a long wait with a ... "Yup".. :/ I know it's rediculous to yelp fast food. I will return in hopes that this is a segregated incident. However if not, I will not be offering another opportunity to make good. I'd like my $3 back for ruining this edibility, I couldn't even give it away, Sorry Wendys. This is unacceptable. I do look forward to seeing Luis bright eyed and concerned for guest services in the future. One piece of advice; when a diary item is requested to be specifically eliminated from an order, I suggest to pay attention to the potential sensitivity of that component's effect on the item altogether. Terrible service. I was very polite as I usually am because I have worked in the fast food service before so I know how stressful it can get! I asked nicely for some mayonnaise and mustard in the side when I received my order and the lady who gave me my food rolled her eyes and when she told the other worker I wanted mayo and mustard they all moaned as if they wanted to kill themselves. They are typically a friendly place. A few times I have had some...idk...less friendly people deal with me. That being said, I have no idea what they are dealing with, maybe I was just a "one off ". However, my star rating it solely based on the accuracy of my orders. I would recommend double checking any modifications before fully leaving. For example, the kids want "plain" burgers. Often, "plain" and "just a hamburger patty and a bun" is often misunderstood. On the other hand, if you just order menu items as-is, I haven't noticed an issue. read more

I've always had great experiences at Wendy's, however my first stop was the restroom to wash my hands before eating, there was no soap or paper towels in the women's restroom. To my knowledge, this a health code violation as employees are required to use soap when washing their hands prior to returning back to work. I rinsed, air dried and used my personal hand sanitizer. Proceeded to get a beverage, there was spilled liquid all over the floor in between both fountains, a slip hazard to say the least, no employee or napkins in sight. I tiptoed my way around, grabbed my drink and spent approx 15 minutes in the restaurant, no employee ever came to dry up the spill. By far the most dirtied Wendy's I've ever encountered. Employee who took my drink order was friendly was the only reason I'm giving 2 stars. read more
