So there I was, minding my own business at the gym, when Wendy's had the audacity to advertise their new spicy chicken sandwich directly at my face. Fine, Wendy's. You win this round. Let me be clear: Wendy's is not exactly my fast food soulmate. We have a complicated history. But a spicy chicken sandwich is a spicy chicken sandwich, and I am nothing if not a journalist of the people. Here's what I'll give them: unlike basically every other fast food chain that just slaps a misshapen asteroid of chicken between two buns and calls it a day, Wendy's actually pounds their chicken to an even thickness before breading and frying it. Revolutionary concept, apparently. They then bury the whole thing under the usual crime scene of tomato and lettuce, which, fine. Was it good? Sure. Was it good good? Let's not get carried away. Popeyes built an empire on their chicken sandwich. Chick-fil-A has people genuinely planning their Sundays around it. Wendy's has... this. A perfectly acceptable sandwich that exists. It scratches the itch if you're absolutely desperate and the other two have inexplicably closed. read more

Normally Wendy's is not on my list of fast food place I'd go to. Yeah, maybe it's something to do with the square meat patties, I dunno, but never really made an effort to go to Wendy's, till now. I got these Wendy's coupons in a mailer and looking over them, there a couple for buy one get one FREE burgers. I'm a sucker for good coupons, so it's off to Wendy's I go. Lucky I not dragging my crew around right now, so I go by myself. The place is not crowded at all and I go right up to the server and hand them a coupon for 2 Dave's singles for the price of one. The normal price is about $6.50, so I get TWO burgers for that price. It comes with a single square patty of meat, 2 slices of cheese and lettuce, tomato with catsup and mayo. The food is called and I sit down. The dining area is well lit. Opening up this burger, Hmmm, it's not Whopper sized, that's for sure. Biting in, it's well, kinda average burger. Nothing bad, but I mos def rather have a In N Out Double Double especially for the regular price of $6.50 when I can Get a Double Double for less than $5 bucks. The buns are kinda squishy too (OK, no jokes here!) For the 2 for 1 deal, it's worth it, like each burger being worth $3.25, but these sure aren't worth the full price. Next, I'm gonna try the free fries coupon. Well, I'm back here at Wendy's with my last coupon to use! The coupon is for a FREE med fry order with ANY purchase! Being the sneaky one I am, I ordered the least expensive thing on the menu, the junior order of fries for less than $2.00 bucks, I think it was $1.79 + tax. THEN I got the FREE med order of fries free! I didn't know if this would actually work or not, but the server took the coupon no prob and I paid less then $2.00 with tax. My number is called and I get my tray with my two fry orders. I'd never had the fries at a Wendy's before so I didn't know what to expect. Wow, those were some of the best looking fast food fries I ever saw! Each cardboard container was filled just so perfect and over flowing just like you see on the advertised promo photos of food products! All super hot right out of the fryer ... I love it! I guess yeah, it tasted better cause it was such a killer deal. Wendy's has some decent fries! Now I just need more coupons! read more

I heard I can now order a lettuce wrap burger at Wendy's. Apparently not my local Wendy's. I ordered the Baconater, no bun, lettuce wrap, at the drive thru window. What I got was a burger patty topped with cheese and bacon, and a squirt of bbq sauce. Shoulda gone for the "protein style burger" down a block. Live and learn. read more

The new management is AMAZINg! Not offense but the lady who wore too much makeup and worked there since I was a kid was really tight and not good at customer service. I left Wendy's crying once because of her when I was pregnant! I was like .27 cents short for a lemonade on a hot day. But now, management is awesome and fixes mistakes quickly. I would say the potatoes are delicious chilli and fries and salad, but the burgers have shrank and last two times seemed kinda old and cold. Great service tho read more

But the person on the speakerphone would not let me finish my sentence before rudely interrupting. And heaven forbid I attempted to ask a question about a salad as she kept on rudely interrupting and would not let me finish my sentence to the point where I had to tell her to stop talking. This cashier (Dora) definitely should not be on the speakerphone, maybe she's better at the front register, but definitely does not have the patience to be on the speakerphone. This review is for their once a year offering of a fish sandwich during Lent. I was craving for a fish sandwich and not necessarily because of Lent. I ordered their cod fish sandwich to go. It consisted of a soft toasted bun, panko crusted cod fillet, lettuce, 3 pickles, and dill tartar sauce. The sandwich was "ok". The fish was overcooked and was thin compared to other fast food fish sandwiches. It had exactly 3 pickles on it. It satisfied my craving. It was have been better if they didn't overcook the fish and had 4 pickles on it. I mean how expensive are pickles? If you go to their web site, it says "3 pickles"...lol. Would I ordered it again? It's been a very time long since we've been to Wendy's. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was quick, tasty and a good value. The interior was clean and looked remodeled. We arrived right before dinner rush. I recommend getting the chili with cheese and onions, then enjoy then with some hot fresh fries. They are not skimpy with sauces if you ask. They offer touch-less drink dispensing. My son and I enjoyed our meal very much at 5:30pm on Tuesday. Unfortunately we were starving, so pictures to add. Incredibly overpriced for what you get. And that makes me sad because I used to love this place growing up. I just ordered what I used to get when I was a kid and that includes a small chocolate Frosty to dip my chicken nuggets in. I was instead given two small kids size vanilla Frosty's. I really don't understand how you can confuse one small chocolate Frosty for two small kids vanilla Frosty. Used to visit Wendy's years ago and appreciated their product offerings. Read about their free 4 piece chicken nuggets and going to Trader Joe's thought why not. When I drove up to the window after waiting with no staff interaction was being handed a large to go order. That got corrected when staff said oh your the chicken nuggets order. Only 2 cars were in line. That was minor and things happen. What was not minor were the nuggets. First they were slightly crispy on the top but underneath a wet and soggy batter. In addition way over seasoned with a very unpleasant aftertaste. Fortunately had spicy cornchips nearby. Maybe they season them assuming the dipping sauces would be used. It's fast food. 99% of the time they get the order right. Dine in service was fairly quick today. Personal opinion the bacon could be a little more cooked. I love their fries better than other competitors. Wish they wouldn't skimp on the pickles when I ask for extra pickles and no tomato or lettuce or raw onions. I suppose I have low expectations from a fast food joint - in fact, it's a rare occasion that I go here instead of my local grocery store to get something less than healthy food, so the only fuss I have at making a stop at any of these places is do they get the order right. I've learned to verify as they are giving it to me because some how ........some way.......... this is their business but the minimum wage does not push for accuracy most times. I ordered and received 2 salads - A 'Power Mediterranean Chicken Salad' and a 'Spicy Chicken Caesar salad'. The Mediterranean salad is much better than it sounds with ingredients: grilled chicken, lettuce, feta, hummus, sundried tomato, & quinoa blend 480 Calories, it's actually too much but really delicious. I never recall the hummus or quinoa but if they say it's in there - then maybe it's in there. Always check your order before you leave the premises. read more

Love the burgers. The chili is my favorite along with the baked potato with sour cream and chives. The 4 for $4 is a great deal.

I love Wendys. The thing I love most is that they have baked potatoes still (Carls Jr did years ago but stopped) some of us who are vegetarians appreciate healthy food options. This particular Wendys on the avenue used to host some interesting clientele but has cleaned up a lot in recent years. The interior is cozy and clean./ I love the value menu Staff is alright. They forget stuff fairly frequently (LOL sorry it is true) But just make sure you have everything before you leave the counter & youre good. The place is always clean they do a good job keeping it that way too. The staff is great I haven't had any problems and they are very consistent as well with being attentive and quick.
