Not a heavy batter and it didn't overpower the flavor of the shrimp. The shrimp tacos are not gluten free and they have a minimal amount of gluten-free options available. Most of their sandwiches have a gluten-free roll available for an extra two dollars. If you have a severe gluten allergy/ celiac disease, I probably would not risk most of the menu items. Thankfully, we were also able to order a rice bowl with plain swordfish and had no allergy related side effects afterwards. The kids menu is also great for options for littles while dining here. The view is nice, crowded if you're seated outdoors but the staff is awesome which makes it feel more like you're going to a friends house to eat. I'd come here again for drinks on the patio as their drink menu looked so good. A great stop for an outdoor lunch or quick stop with friends.

A manager(?) came out to reiterate the delay after a hushed discussion among he and 2 servers. They tried again to offer chowder and clam cakes which we again asked to have served all at once. As we stood there we tried to say this was quite odd that we had no priority based on their process. No comments. We did order dinner as had no other options at that point. We did wait for about 20-25 mins. Only 3 of the 4 orders were served together. The 4th dinner came 5 mins later after we asked for it. I think a show of good faith may have been an offer of onion rings for our table or at least an offer of a lemonade or tea for all. Management needs to help their staff manage the live audience a bit better. Hoping next year is better for all customers.
