A friend and I visited the Wheaton Wendy's late last week for a late night snack. Since I have food allergies, I wanted to make sure to make it clear to the customer service rep that my order needed care and attention. Cory P. took my order and appeared extremely irritated with me when I attempted to verify my order. When we arrived to pick up the order, I checked to be sure my sandwich did not have tomatoes or ketchup (since I am allergic to tomatoes) and once I opened my sandwich container, I noticed how sloppy and horrific the sandwich was prepared. It was cold and undesirable. I asked why the sandwich looked like that and Cory said don't ask him, he wasn't the one that made it. I understand it was late, but it was my expectation that an order placed at 1:45 AM should appear in the same way a sandwich prepared at 1:45 PM. My friend also had a major issue with her order and asked if Cory P. would provide a full container of fries and her preference was for the fries to be hot, not cold and stale. Cory told her that it was the end of the night and there weren't any more fries he could provide her. This was inexcusable and warranted the need for us to pull over, walk over on foot over to the window just to request the fries for a second time. Cory spoke to us in a disrespectful manner and did not represent Wendy's in a favorable way. It was also extremely unprofessional of him to share our disagreement with the customer in the car waiting at the window. As I mentioned, the hot fries required us to walk over to the window after our car was parked in the lot. I do not have very high standards for fast food, however, this experience warranted my feedback. Go here if you want HAIR in your food! I'm so upset about our experience. My boyfriend was eating his fries and mixed in the fries were several strands of hair. Moments later I found a hair in my burger. Luckily I noticed before it was in my mouth. Most horrible experience. We had a few sandwiches and because of that we stopped eating immediately. Went to this Wendy's for the first time yesterday. Ordered at the Drive Thru (I was the only car there and even then it was pretty slow). The experience wasn't great. I was rushed to order and the person taking my order kept talking over me as I was trying to confirm my order. I told her to hold on, I had more to order, and she proceeds to give me the price to end the conversation. I had to call her back and tell her again I wasn't done ordering! Nothing showed up on the order screen so I didn't see what was being inputted and could barely hear the total price at the end. One of my items was inputted incorrectly (I ordered a large chocolate frosty and she apparently heard vanilla sundae?) Anyway, she finally gave me a small chocolate frosty (still not what I wanted--I said large) after getting defensive and saying that I had ordered a vanilla sundae. Pretty lousy experience since I had come primarily to get a large chocolate frosty. There was also a hair in my fries. read more

I'm only writing this review because the people here have the best customer service I've seen at a fast food restaurant. Every time I'm there, night or day, I'm always greeted at the drive through with "Hello. How are you today?" and they really wait for an answer. Everyone here is always pleasant and extremely courteous. If there's ever a wait it's typically because they are making fresh batches of fries or nuggets. If there is ever a wait, they let you know and will keep you company at the window while you're waiting. I guess that's the southern charm that happens below the Mason Dixon line. read more

The service it self is pretty good. The employees so far have been friendly and quick with orders. I like to wash my hands before I eat and their bathrooms are normally not so pleasant. 5 stars for having the drink machine that lets you pick a million different combos of drinks, along with having a very generously sized large drink. On a day like today, that's much appreciated. Also their chili is pretty good and the people working here were friendly, professional and cool. Keep all the people on your staff today. They did good. Also, Tanzina's review is idiotic, for a number of reasons. 1) Who would think large refers to a sandwich, and not the fries/drink? Obviously any given sandwich is one set size. Everyone knows that. 2) Cups don't make people fat. People do. Nobody is making you drink more. The large cup provides the option for that. 3) There's water, Powerade, or other semi healthy drinks as options. You don't have to get soda. 4) If you want to "not be oversized" then go to the gym and be in good shape, like I do and like I am. A drink isn't going to make you fat. A sedentary, lazy lifestyle will. 5) Who goes to Wendy's, neglects the gym, and then whines about health anyway? If you're eating fast food and not going to the gym then you DESERVE to be fat. (And if you eat Wendy's occasionally but go to the gym and work out hard and regularly, then you won't be fat, regardless of an occasionally junky diet.) I actually joined yelp to post this, because I'm so irritated. This Wendy's location has friendly people, and got there a couple of times a week. They often forget small things like a straw or utensils, but I tend to let that go, because it doesn't really matter. Today, the manager (I think) asked me to get out of drive through line and park (with no real communication other than pointing, so I was very confused). As I watched person after person get their food, I went inside (this was a few minutes' time, it was not a long wait, but I was confused so I jumped the gun). They inform me that an employee was outside with my food. I'm irritated, but okay, that's fine. She hands me food and no drink. I sigh and go BACK inside to get the drink, which has already been poured and is handed to me. I get in my car and take a sip at the first stoplight - it's not the drink I ordered. I'm really bristling at this point just on general principle, but I just keep going so I can eat and get back to work. Good thing I checked my food as I pulled it out, because instead of the ranch dressing I ordered, they have given me lemon Caesar, which could literally kill me, as I have food allergies. I'm beyond pissed now that I get to eat a salad with NO DRESSING because their apparent lack of attention to details has reached ridiculous proportions. Guess I'm going to have to find another place that's quick with relatively fresh food, because this is ridiculous. I know it's fast food and you get what you pay for, but in this case my order was wrong twice and I literally did NOT get what I paid for. Come on, guys - get it together! read more

This Wendy's is okay. I've never had an issue with my food at every visit I make here. The employees are okay too. Only thing I don't like about this location in particular is that for some reason, it attracts really ratchet people. It's at no fault of the restaurant, but I've felt unsafe at times when certain people come in and they get loud for no reason. I've had people come up to me rudely asking for money and things like that, so I try to avoid making too many trips here unless I need a quick meal or I'm waiting for someone to meet me there. Two stars just because any Wendy's has decent food. The problem with this location is the drive thru. This is the only drive thru I have ever seen where the first question they ask isn't "can I help you," it's "can you wait a minute." The wait time at the window before they get to you is ridiculous. I have been there more than once and even though there might be only two cars in front of you, it still takes 10 minutes to get to order. This Wendy's could be better. Today, we wanted to order single Baconators' and she made a mistake and placed a double Baconator order. We wondered why it was expensive and they said it was because it was double. So, we changed it, but when we got home, I found out there's no bacon on my burger! And I wanted a Powerade strawberry lemonade, not the fresh squeezed one. Our order was messed up. And another additional thing is that they don't watch for sketchy people in the restaurant. Short and sweet for a Wendy's review. Anyway food is consistently good...if you get it all. I swear I go there once a week or more (healthy right) and they have only managed to get 2 orders correct without me having to make a second trip through through the drive thru (out of literally dozens of orders over several months). Now I have to be one of those people who sit at the window to take inventory before driving off, so annoying but I keep coming back. I've gone through the drive-thru whenever I go to the Wendy's in Wheaton. The food is good, but they always forget something: the fries order, forks, the pecans and dressing for the apple pecan salad. It would be nice if they'd ask if there is anything else, or did you want pecans with your apple pecan salad or dressing with that salad. They smile and hand the order out the window. I went to this restaurant on sep'16 at 9 pm (last night), with my whole family and 2 kids under 8 , the name of the cashier who serve us was LEONARDO, he took our order and than he went to help to the cook with the fries, without wearing gloves, he was grabbing the fries with his hands, after touching the customer cash, which is unhealthy, also all the cooks were not using gloves , just one lady who looks hispanic, (I will report this to the county for an inspection of this place, cuase if they don't even wear gloves, who knows what else going on there) , well when I we sit to eat , a frequent customer came to talk with us and let us know that we can ask for free icecream shake for the kids, which she just did a few seconds ago, so I went to talk to the same cashier LEONARDO and ask him if it is true that they have free icecream for the kids, or something that is free for the kids, so he got so disrespectful and look at his coworker next to him and with a sarcastic way said "Nothing in this place is for free" and he was kind of laughing and joking about that , so I came back to my table with my familiy , and we were about to leave because we were over, the same cashier LEONARDO, was calling to us from the cashier and asking us if we still want the icecream , and I said no, and he said it is free, I don't knwo if he was being sarcastic or he felt bad for refusing us the icecream before, because as I know it is free for kids,,, Managers on this place should take care of the people they have in this place, and I hope a visit from the county health department (which I will report) can help them to solve the gloves problem) read more
