Really great service. Staff really know their automotive product. I often see customers fixing…read moretheir cars in the parking lot and staff assist when needed with advice. There is something very community oriented and old school about this process. I have no knowledge in cars and appreciate maintenance. I believe I read that customers can borrow specialized tools. I could be wrong. I'm so happy a place like this exists. The slogan is super catchy and I like the various locations. The smell of the various oils and car lubricants brings me back to my late grandpa who had a garage with tons of car tools. He fixed up anything from vintage cars to tractors. I picture the movie Gran Torino. It's that imagery of Clint Eastwood and going to O'Reilly's. The next generation may not know how to fix cars because it's not passed down. Keep up the great work.

Amazing service - quick, efficient, friendly, prices are good, what more could you ask for? Came…read morehere on a sunny Friday afternoon looking to get my battery checked as my car was dead two days in a row. I was greeted warmly and helped right away. The manager, Ambrosio, checked my battery and then jumped my car because my car had died in the parking lot. After that, he checked the battery again to ensure the issue was my battery and not something more serious like my alternator. Luckily, it was just my 2015 dated battery that needed to be replaced. Ambrosio installed the battery in less than 10 mins and I was on my way. Will definitely come back next time I need anything car related.

I used this service for over seven years while living in Seattle. This is my long-term (and long…read moreoverdue) review of their service. First, I've always found Ace Auto to be courteous, honest, and clear with communicating the work that my cars needed (a 2013 Camry switching to a 2017 RAV4 Hybrid later). They've always been up-front about what work is critical versus what can be delayed until later. Second, the owners are dedicated to ensuring that cars are repaired and returned in a timely fashion. When COVID hit in 2020, they went in on the weekend to fix my RAV4 all so that I could get my car back on the following Monday as promised (which wasn't actually their fault as a supplier error caused the wrong part to be shipped initially, and the right part only arrived when the shop was about to close on Friday). Third, while the service provided might not be the cheapest, I have NEVER had to take my car back in to get a repair "fixed" because it was done improperly the first time. This was really important to me because my car was my main mode of transportation as a family caregiver. I'm sorry that it took me almost eight years and two different cars to get around to writing this review. On the other hand, I can pretty confidently say that you can rely on Ace Auto to make sure your vehicle stays in great shape over the years. Thanks guys.

When I saw that I was being charged almost $50 for "hazardous waste," I asked whether a mirror was really "hazardous." Alvin admitted that no, it wasn't. I asked for the mirror back so that I could dispose of it myself. That's where the runaround began. "My boss makes me charge this...it's already been disposed of, and we can't get it back...it's in the dumpster and it would take me 20 minutes to find it..." I called his bluff and said that I would be happy to dumpster dive to save $50. I also asked a different person to double check for me that the mirror had actually already gone to the dumpster. Alvin tried to tell me that everything in that dumpster needed special treatment and cost them extra to dispose of. Well, they're paying a lot for the special treatment of pizza boxes, oil containers, and lots and lots of stuff that should have gone into recycle instead. After about 10 minutes of this 62 year old lady going through their trash, I found a mirror and took it in. Alvin told me that "it was the wrong mirror," because he had mine sitting on his desk. Mind you, nobody had come out to rescue me from the dumpster, and Alvin was sitting there calmly doing paperwork. Alvin was extremely cold and businesslike from then on. Yes, I got my $47.50 credited back without any special dispensation from his boss. I will only go back to that service center if I have no other options, and I will go over every invoice with a fine-toothed comb. I wonder how much extra they are making from this scam off of other unsuspecting people. WA law says that I must be provided with old parts if I request them, and I don't think that means that they point their customer to the dumpster.
