I've used this pharmacy a couple of times. They have really great customer service every time. The gentleman I've talked to on the phone is always so polite! I believe his name is Sam. I had to call in a few days ago because my ferret was prescribed an antibiotic. I asked for it to be compounded more than what it is normally because my ferret was very weak and fought her medicine like crazy. They were happy to accommodate me. During that same call, the gentleman helping me overheard my conversation with my boyfriend about leaving a tip (we were scrambling to find cash), and he interjected and explained to me that we didn't need to tip, and that they truly wanted to earn our business. I really appreciated that because all of the visits to the vet to treat my ferret's cancer had totally sucked us dry financially and so that meant the world to me! Unfortunately, as I was talking to him, my vet called with blood work results. I finished the order and called the vet back, she explained to me that the chemo wasn't working and recommended euthanasia as the best option. I immediately called the pharmacy back to cancel the order, and they were very compassionate and understanding even though I was very distraught. They promptly canceled the order for me, no fuss, and offered condolences. On a previous occasion, several months ago, I had medicine delivered to my apartment, and the gentleman who delivered it was very pleasant! I have been so happy with every interaction with Wespaw. Having a sick pet is about as awful of an experience you can have, but Wespaw has always been prompt, delivers late, and knows how to treat customers with respect. They have made my life just a little easier by providing good customer service. During these troubling times with the Covid 19, my dog koko-Mo fell ill and was hospitalized. Being an essential worker and working doubles etc . I was devastated to find out she had to be rushed to the hospital as an intensive care patient,newly diagnosed with diabetes.We spent everything we had for her hospital care 4,000. Here's the other blow , yes she bounced back quickly with the treatment. However I had to find insulin medication for her before she could come out the hospital. I went to every big named pet providers chewy , pet meds etc and the wait time to receive the much need medication would've taken 7-10 business days due to covid 19. I called everyone my local pharmacist, costco and walmart with NO SUCCESS. So I searched online with determination to find the much needed medication. I came across Wespaw the staff was very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and empathic to my plot. The owner Sam and his team ensured me I would recieved the much needed insulin today. The owner went as far as driving the medication from Queens to the Bronx. In addition he had another delivery sent to me, so she got double for the price. Excellence personified. The Wespaw Pet Pharmacy team and owner Sam have been serving my hard-to-medicate rescue pets for years- and their consideration, attention to detail, generosity with their time as I explain my pet issues (and delivery issues with my building!) is outstanding. I work with rescue animals who are in dire need of their meds, but also VERY hard to pill. Sam has worked with me to get the right formulas and flavors or transdermals- so that my little ones can get healthy. The staff has been excellent, smart, courteous and compassionate as well. I also had delivery issues with my building- (they don't accept medications by courier...) and Sam and the delivery folks worked hard, repeated deliveries, tried various routes and were always willing to do whatever it took to get my guys their meds, AND get those on time. Sam is the absolute BEST. I was very stressed and worried when I was told that my pet needed to receive prednisone (basically for the rest of his life) 2 times a day. My vet referred me to Wespaw Pharmacy and Sam (the owner/pharmacist) contacted me within an hr of receiving the info from the vet. He asked me my pets likes/dislikes for foods and flavors and told me that he would make a concoction of the flavors he likes for the medicine so he will like it better. He then told me that I would receive my medicine later that night, I was completely shocked when he said this. Then later that night I receive a call that my prescription is outside and it is actually SAM HIMSELF! (I live about an hr and change away from this pharmacy). This has to be the best costumer service I have ever experienced. I have now been dealing with Sam and Wespaw for a few months and I can guarantee that I will be a lifelong customer. Sam's love for animals and genuine care for their owners will NEVER go unnoticed. He really is a one-of-a-kind person. I was so VERY HAPPY to hear about the Wespaw Pharmacy for pets being open for business. It was something that was so needed here in Sunnyside/Queens. Pet medicine is as expensive and critical as people meds and WESPAW Pharmacy just took a load off my mind!!! My Pekingese needed meds for his heart. Wespaw filled the script at the most reasonable price and delivered it to my door. What more can you ask for?! The meds were perfect and precise, the cost was so affordable and it is such a comfort to know that if one of my cats or my dog needs a med...WESPAW is right there to serve them. No more worrying about will my dog's pills be cut properly, or the expensive cost . I am absolutely over the moon about having a pet pharmacy so close, that delivers and is so affordable. So happy to have stumbled across this local pharmacy. I was a first time customer here and Sam the pharmacist took the time (on the phone) to explain everything to me from how long it will take to make my dog's antibiotic in the lab, to explaining how he will combine the milligrams of my dog's antibiotic in one tablet to save me money and to save me the hassle of giving my dog 1 tablet daily instead of 1 and a half tablet daily. He took it upon himself to call me back when I ordered more antibiotics than I initially thought I needed. I felt so silly when I realized that I actually needed 3 extra antibiotics to complete the last full week of my dogs course of treatment (so I needed 17 instead of the 14 that I ordered). Sam did not charge me for those last 3 extra antibiotics that I added to my order. The cost of my these antibiotics at my local vet would have cost me $216.75. I paid $79.48 at Wespaw. Not only did Sam save me money but he was also so knowledgeable, professional, and very generous to me. Just started using Wespaw and could not be happier. In the past we used to go to BEST PET RX, and it was always a pain in the ass. I can't tell you how many times they would actually forget to send our dogs meds out to us. And we would have to call. Speak to a different operator. It was a real nightmare (as well as a time suck) Which let just say, these meds are for our 15 year old Yorkie who has horrible trachea issues. So getting her medicine is crucial. With Wespaw we put in the order at 3pm today and by 7pm we had Bella's meds delivered to our front door. No other pet pharmacy has ever done that. Normally with other pet pharmacies we have to call, put the order in, get a hard copy mailed to the pet pharmacy, then call them days later to see if they checked their mail for the hard copy. Then make sure they send out the meds. ITS A GIANT PAIN IN THE ASS. But not with WESPAW. We spoke with Sam, who could not have been nicer and more efficient, who took care of all the paperwork for us. And delivered my dogs meds the SAME DAY I ORDERED!! Highly recommend! I only have wonderful things to say about Wespaw Pets Pharmacy, I just recently changed from Best Pet RX in NYC. I have a Jenday Conure with heart failure and he is 22 years old. To say the least, Pookie is my heart. Best Pet RX had been previously filling Pookie's prescriptions. The price for the 3 medications Pookie required got higher and higher until one of his meds. would have cost $90+ which Wespaw charges $52 or $54 for. Pet RX once gave me the wrong prescription and Pookie could have died. The customer service people give you haphazard answers and I don't know why they offer information when they are usually inaccurate. All in all, Pookie seems to be doing better with his prescriptions from WesPaw and this facility will bend over backwards to make sure everything is good for you and your pet. read more

I just want to give another example to re-iterate how wonderful Sam and Westpaw are. My cat had dental surgery with extractions done yesterday, and needed pain medication and antibiotics. I tried this morning to give her the pain meds, but was having difficulty, and in my frustration and panic, called Westpaw to see whether I could give her another dose, what to do, etc. I left a message at 9:30 in the morning, completely forgot it was a Saturday, and not a weekday. Sam called me back within 5 minutes and gave me alternative options which ended up working like a charm. Sam really cares about his pet patients and their (sometimes crazy) pet parents. Hi, My name is David. I live in the Lower East Side. We've trusted our vet for years who we see in Manhattan, but we learned today that the refill of pills for our dog was not available. It was on back order. We needed those pills or else our dog wouldn't do well. The receptionist made contact with Sam at Wespaw Pets Pharmacy and called back to tell me that the pills would be delivered. I called up Sam because I wanted to know how much it would all come to. There was a $50 difference in price to- what we usually pay- which made me glow. He's situated in Queens, but he's willing to send a messenger to the Lower East Side. I had been utilizing another company for Patches needed medications prior to contacting Wespaw Pets. The expense every 2 months was wiping me out. Sam was kind and courteous about pricing out Patches medications through him and that was even prior to the exact time I would need the new medications. He took all of my information and was directly in contact with the vet to get a prescription so he could fill it promptly. It arrived as promised and Patches loves his new meds. He doesn't fight me so much anymore. When I contacted Sam today with a problem, he immediately advised how he will rectify it and I will receive new caps by Monday and today is Friday afternoon. I've never known a Pharmacy that works so hard to deliver. Literally. I have two very picky cats and I'm going away. I can't expect Anyone to pill my cats the way I do. Sam has been finding the right compounded recipe that my cats would love to go into their food. Every day he delivers another batch. I feel so awful. He and his staff are so incredibly nice, so accommodating, and truly so wonderful. They let me know when the delivery is on its way, and when it's been delivered. It's really amazing. And they even add lollypops in the bag, which my son loves! I I wish I could give them more than five stars!!!! I'm hoping to have them fill all of my pets prescriptions. This is the pet pharmacy used by my mobile vet, who has been a Godsend. They have proved to be compatible to her high level of service. Without these supports, my darling service cat would not have quality of life. I am grateful to them for providing his pain medication while he battles an aggressive cancerous tumor in his face. Getting him treated has been very expensive and the pain medication is a relatively low cost way to keep him as comfortable as possible. They deliver it to my door at no extra cost, and provide it in a liquid form that he is able to easily swallow and tolerate. Both of my cats contracted ringworm and the vet prescribed an oral medication. Sam made this chicken flavored liquid that they have to take every other week for six weeks. I thought this would be a huge pain in the butt, but the medication was delivered to my house at a time that was convenient for me which was great. My cats also love taking their medicine. It has been so easy! One of them always tries to get me to give him more (which is not happening...). I highly recommend this place. The level of professionalism and quality is outstanding! I transferred my cat's compounded prescriptions to Wespaw because of problems with another pharmacy. In talking with my vet, Sam, the pharmacist, recommended custom-compounding the two meds together into one transdermal gel (to reduce my kitty's ear-flap irritation). Stella is 18yo and difficult to medicate; having one "med" tailored to her needs is more than wonderful. Sam personally delivered the medication on the day it was compounded. I found this pharmacy when I first moved to Brooklyn and I'm so glad I trusted my intuition. At first, I was concerned that it would be difficult to receive the prescriptions for my dog, but Sam (the best pharmacist ever) reassured me that it would be hand delivered to me each time I needed a refill. I have been using this pharmacy for a compound eye ointment for my dog for almost a year now and I couldn't recommend this place more! Wespaw is an excellent pharmacy! They are extremely accommodating, and go above and beyond to make sure pets get their medication quickly. I've had multiple prescriptions filled through them, and they've even delivered late at night when I needed pet medications the same day. On a few occasions they added flavor to the meds to make sure giving medication would be a positive experience. Kittens are not always easy to medicate, so I really appreciated it!
