Abysmal coordination and communication. Although they call to confirm scheduling ahead of time and set a generous arrival window of 5 hours, I have been serviced by them at least 5 times and they have never once arrived within the estimated window. One of the service appointments was scheduled for 9am-2pm and the first communication I received about an updated arrival time was at 6pm. They texted me saying they would arrive in 30 minutes. I waited until 8pm when they finally showed up, with no updated communication in between and no explanation upon arrival. The most recent service, they used my house as a supplies drop off point for another job at another house, leaving materials unrelated to the service I had scheduled. When the technician that was supposed to do my service arrived and I notified him about the supplies dropped off for him, he had no clue what I was talking about. When they complete the service and I inquire what the issue was and what they did to fix it so that if the issue arises again, I can accurately report the issue, they brush it off and say "it's too complicated". That's very helpful... at least make an attempt to explain it. While the work they do is fine, I cannot in good faith give a good rating if they have a track record of 0/5 on arriving within the substantially long arrival window without providing updates that they adhere to. I understand that delays can happen due to travel time or previous jobs going longer than expected but what is the point of having a dispatch schedule appointments when they overshoot it by multiple hours, don't contact when the estimated arrival needs to be updated, and in the cases where they do provide an updated estimate, they are still late? Fix your internal processes and communication protocols or your clients will continue to be frustrated and disappointed. read more

This company was sent to my house twice by home warranty. The first experience was okay as they did a full inspection and seemed to understand how to fix my dishwasher. The second visit was worse. I would not recommend them ever. None of the repair people who have come to my house have spoken English. They cannot understand what is wrong with my dishwasher and they cannot communicate with me properly about what they need to do. My dishwasher was not running a full cycle, but now it is leaking all over my floor after Kim's repair job. He told me it was fixed. Now its worse than it was. read more

This month my wall heater was serviced by Valarie at West Coast Chief repair. I had a smoldering burner, and the whole system needed to be replaced. Valerie has great customer service. He was very thoroughand patient when explaining the details of the service he provided and testing to assure safety for myself, and my family. He was done in a timely manner and sufficient. He also clean up after himself. I waited a week for the Socal gas company to come out to double check before using the heater. They assured me that it was working properly and safe to use. The technician that showed from SoCal Gas stated that the system was cleaned very well or replaced with a new system. He couldn't tell the difference. This is the worst company I've ever dealt with or heard of. Scheduled an a/c repair appt for June 15th between 9am and 12pm. They called me the morning of June 15th telling me that they didn't have any technicians available. What kind of company schedules an appointment without a technician available? They reschedule for Friday June 17th, between 2pm and 4pm. Not only do they not show up, they don't even call to say they won't show up or will be late. I call west coast chief repair every hour between 4pm and 7pm and someone keeps telling me that they will be here in 30 to 40 minutes. It is 7pm now. No one has shown up or called. I've blocked off two entire days to be here for this ac repair appt. This company is so shitty, disrespectful and a complete waste of time. read more

On one of the hottest weekends our air conditioner went out! We called West Coast Chief Repair to take a look at our AC. We got a call from Andy right away and he came to our rescue. He was able to diagnose the issue and it turns out it was the furnace panel. Since it was a holiday weekend he couldn't get the part right away but kept us informed. Andy was our technician when our heater failed to work properly causing our house to be freezing cold for our one year old. Andy wasn't able to hear the noises that we had reported but instead of leaving us he continued to trouble shoot and dramatically improved our heater air pressure and igniter. We explained that we had a separate tech coming out to repair Air Conditioner and he explained that he could save us the separate extra charge and offered to work on it for us. In less than 10 minutes he diagnosed the issue with the AC and he even had the part to fix it in his truck. I have worked with other techs in the past and this guy knows his work. He was very friendly, extremely thorough, and was willingly to go the extra mile to make sure my family was warm, safe and comfortable. It's hard to find people that will go the extra mile these days when so many others are just looking to get payment and take off quickly. Choose West Coast Chief Repair, and I'm soo glad I did. Andy the technician came to my home. He diagnosed that the capacitor was bad, and coolant was low. He cleaned the coils, he checked for leaks.
