Parking was easy since there is a parking lot. However, it can get filled quickly and luckily I was able to snag a spot. Not sure what the other parking options are when the lot runs out. The park itself is super nice! It's hilly and vibrantly green. My favorite part is you have a great view of the city up top from the hill. The grass is also comfy to sit on. They have a playground, several picnic tables, and a bathroom too. There were several other groups celebrating occasions there, but it was not too crowded. A perfect option for nice weather. I would definitely recommend this park as a great picnic option and would visit again.

The park was crowded on a Sunday as there were families doing their own picnics, big groups playing on the basketball court, and lots of kids at both playground structures. This park is more on the smaller size but is still a good option for whatever activity you may be doing at the park. In terms of cleanliness, the park is fairly clean with some areas of TLC but nothing to freak out about as it doesn't distract from the park itself. Would I come again? Yes if it's on the way but there are other parks in the area I prefer that are more open space. I would come here for some picnicking, playing basketball or tennis.

There's a bust of Abraham Lincoln at the corner of Buena Vista and Verdugo. Towards the center of the park, you'll see a huge helmet in tribute to Amelia Earhart who flew out of Burbank Airport to her journeys. There's a huge Mexican hat called sombrero in tribute of Mexican farmers who worked on the farms of San Fernando Valley many decades ago. Also a hat of Abraham Lincoln which this park was named after.

It's a real small one but it's perfect for a little kid like mine who just needs to kind of get out some energy and get a little exercise. There are two picnic areas to choose from: Picnic area #1 is roofed while Picnic area #2 is under the trees. What do people love about this place? There are two playgrounds here: one is for kids aged 2-5 while the bigger one is for children aged 5-12. There is also a childcare facility and restroom which is very accessible wherever side of the park you may be. There is also tons of street parking. For the sports buff, there is a tennis court, basketball court, and a football field with stadium. The park could get really busy any moment of the day so if you're planning a party, come early. A group of 20 or less no permit but must come early to secure spot. There are also lots of cool places to visit nearby. It is right next to Valhalla cemetery where the Portal of Wings is located. It is also beside the Armory where army tanks, jeeps and trucks are parked. There is also a shrine dedicated to Larry Maxam, a Burbank hero who served during the Vietnam war. The only downside of this place is being too close to the airport. It is actually along the path of airplanes taking off. Kids do really get excited in the sight of jumbo airplanes right above your head but it could get really loud when it passes by.
