Food good, prices are sky high! Too much for a group that had 12 kids and the rest adults from. 30 person group.

Let me start by saying we've dined here multiple times, and it was good, hence the multiple visits. Unfortunately, the last two visits were complete let downs, with this last dinner a waste of money! I ordered the filet mignon medium well with a baked potato and a side of the vegetable medley. Upon the arrival of our dinner my husband prompts me to cut into my steak, as the last time it was undercooked. My supposed medium well was rare! I would normally try to eat around the edges, rather than return the steak, but there weren't any edges that I could eat, it was so rare. We sent it back. Now my vegetables are cold and my husband's steak is getting cold as he's waiting for my food to return. The steak arrives and it is now cooked to a medium rare. At this point it's the principle of the thing, and immediately tell the server the issue. They ask if they can remake it and butterfly the steak to get it right, and I agree. What else am I to do? The third attempt arrives, and is so well done it's chewy, dried out, and inedible, but I choke it down. I'm so over the experience at this point. The server never called over the manager or offered to discount or comp anything. Left so dissatisfied. read more

I will be standing in front of them trying to ask for a table for my family while they completely ignore me. They are also not polite or friendly at all. I was so looking forward to having an upscale steak place nearby, but having been twice, I cannot say my dream has come true. The decor and ambience is lovely, but that doesn't make up for the waitstaff or food. The first time was nice enough, but our waiter was snooty and to busy jawing to check on us. I've been a waitress and his behavior was not how you earn tips. Food was OK, but not stellar for the price. What a huge disappointment for Thanksgiving day! I made reservations 2 weeks in advance at 1:00pm because Chophouse was offering a Thanksgiving menu but they ran out of turkey when we got there. They opened at 11:00am so that means in 2 hours they ran out of turkey! What poor management to have done this! Very upset because it was too late to go anywhere else for a Thanksgiving meal! We had to order from their regular menu and the sirloin steak that I ordered was dry! I ordered it medium but there was no pink at all. The food was mediocre at best they can't cook a steak to order for the price point that's unfortunate the tomahawk pork chop was cooked great but no flavor like the steak and the fried chicken was as dry as the napkin. The ambiance is fine- can be a little loud at times. Once we sat I felt like a first grader sitting at a table that is too tall. Wasn't comfortable. Hubby ordered a margarita- it was made with their house tequila. We are tequila fanatics and were impressed with the quality (don Vicente) Made by the same distillery that makes G4 , a very high end tequila. I ordered wine, which was fine. Our house salads left something to be desired. At this time of year its hard to get good tomatoes, i get it. But then, use grape tomatoes, not orangy tomatoes. The lettuce was a mix of romaine wilted and lifeless, and iceberg- cut too many hours ago so it was brown and clearly had gotten too cold. The croutons were amazing and thats mostly what we ate. Dinner arrived- his steak was great, as were both baked potatoes. My filet mignon was not cooked medium. Definitely med rare to rare. I ate around the edges and saved the middle for lunch tomorrow. I'll start that they are losing a star because they sat us in a dark corner and we could barely read our menus without turning on our flashlights on our cellphones. We asked if they could turn up the lighting on the chandelier above us because it was really dim, but apparently the manager said no. Really aggravating, but I didn't feel like arguing. Service was okay. I realize we were a large party, but some things were a bit slow. Everyone received their drinks except for a single regular margarita that arrived about 25 minutes after being ordered. The food was really good, but I couldn't quite see it because of how dark it was. I ordered the wedge salad with tenderloin. It was tasty and a large portion. Incredible dining! Alex was a fabulous server and is exactly how a server should perform! Timely, attentive and courteous. Bravo for one of the best serving experiences ever...I have gone to a lot of restaurants and the service Alex provided was top tier. I had a pina colada to start. The food was incredible if not more than I expected! We each had our own bone marrow appetizer. One was enough due to the richness. I then ordered a Sterling Silver premium dry aged ribeye with cilantro rice. Perfectly done to medium rare (who ever eats meat above that, does not know how to dine at all). Savory and tasty with just enough salt and pepper. Perfect meal if not to much...I got the 16oz. Ambiance was chic and dark. However I was by the window and it was nice to dine in a dark setting. The place packed by who I would expect and that was nice to see. It is near the end of my Texas portion of my trip and this steak house is worth recommending if you are in town. Went here for a birthday celebration yesterday, July 13th. Our order consisted of a rib eye steak and a $100 Tomahawk steak. Asked for the Tomahawk to be cooked MEDIUM RARE. When it arrived it was absolutely disgusting. It looked like it had been placed on the grill, turned over and served. When we spoke to the manager, Marina, she said she would eat it that way. The only thing she did was offer to "re-heat" it. That was NOT not an option! She actually thought we should have a $100 piece of meat re-heated!! It seemed that no one there cared about the situation or wanted to make their customer happy. My bill was over $400 and I didn't even get to enjoy the steak! Pitiful service, pitiful food. They have the mango salad on the menu and no mangos ... ordered the southwest chicken salad instead and the salad was black and wilted, gross, looked so sad and the chicken was gross and cold. You'd think that a steakhouse would actually know how to cook steaks to order. Every time we've gone here our steaks are either under or over cooked. To top it off, their solution is to just toss the steak on the grill after it's been cut. That's great if you want a dry piece of meat but it isn't the proper way to fix the problem. We walked in on their soft opening night, and the interior design immediately stood out - it's gorgeous inside. For a soft open, they did an alright job a service. It has rough spots, but hopefully that will improve as they get more practiced. Our meals were mostly all very good with our party ordering a variety of sandwiches and steaks. Everything comes out on a big platter that feels fun but the steaks really steal your eye and make you jealous if you didn't order one as they server drops everything off at the table. My sides were done fantastically, but my wife's fillet and my dry aged bone in ribeye were both overdone mediums instead of the medium rare that we ordered. Especially for a steakhouse, these were noticably overdone. Again, I hope it's more to do with something on the service side around the soft opening, but I hope and expect that their cooks are trained to get the money makers right on night one. read more

Where to start? I have no idea how such a nice place could have such terrible quality food... I had a reservation for 9-10 people, night started out great nothing out of the ordinary. Our poor server was slammed with our table along with another table of 10 and handled it well. He took our order, apps, everything let's start by saying that our server needs an immediate raise for the type of managers he deals with on a daily basis. I ordered the short rib which is supposed to be slowly braised but came out bone dry, and when I say dry the sad little bone they left in my short rib was so dry it looked like it had been sitting outside for days, meat was super tough and the sad side of veggies that went with it were just a sad mix of veggies from a frozen bag at the store. Not only that but 5 other people at the table ordered steaks as well....all of them were cooked horribly. My friend ordered a well done steak, that steak sat under the heat lamp so long that whatever blood came out of the steak, burned on the plate, the steak was inedible and couldn't even cut through it. This was after waiting nearly an hr for our food. I had ended up canceling my steak as I wanted nothing more from this place...rather they remade my food after cancelling it and they remade everyone's food, with the exception of one. I explained i just wanted my tab and leave, they tried to make it up by bringing out the saddest attempt at a dessert. Which made up for nothing it just angered me that I had to stay another minute longer in this establishment. By this time i had already asked for a manager who never came until we asked for the checks (which nearly took an hour to get). When i I had to ask multiple times for a manager to speak to it took nearly 20-30 mins because the manager who should've talked to us, left for the day instead of coming to speak to us. Keep in mind when we cancelled our steaks, they brought them out and then still had the audacity to charge us for everything! My friend who didn't even get her remade plate was still being charged nearly $40 for her food! The GM Aurelio who finally stopped hiding from us, just stood there, did not apologize, did not say one word to our table, just hid behind the manager who was hiding behind our server. When they came back to the table again they said they'd only be able to comp 2 steaks off our table like they were doing us a favor. And while this is all happening we were surrounded by dirty tables because a few bussers had quit due to management, go figure. So for my birthday in the restaurant I had a salad and a few glasses of wine ate nothing special and was surrounded by filthy tables, but still took care of our server I believe his name is Johnathan he was amazing let's be clear with that. This place is horrible with steaks, I've given this place numerous tries not just this time but dinner with friends or birthdays and the food is never coming out like it should. I hate to say it but dinner was so horrible I literally had to apologize to my friends for taking them here. I will never return to this place and I hope people know that this place is smoke and mirrors. Went on line while in west El Paso and saw ratings for West Texas Chophouse. At 5pm on a Saturday parking lot was packed so I hoped it would be good. Had a 12 oz rib eye, baked potato and bread. Bread was hot and good. Sweet butter was good Baked potato was very good. Ordered ribeye and it was supposed to be medium. It was overcooked, parts burnt, and dried out. This is third ribeye I've had in 3 weeks and honestly was the second best one I've had since on assignment here in El Paso. Others around me were happy with their food. We (me and my wife) had dinner last night to celebrate my new job. And the Manny experience was so amazing it deserves a post here and my time. My server was Manny. I don't know his last name but the experience was like no other we've ever had at other steak houses. The food was perfect. We started with the spinach artichoke dip so delicious. I had a medium sirloin steak and it was the best steak I've ever had the flavors melt right in your mouth, along with my broccoli seasoned to perfection. Asparagus had nice big tips the way we love them. My picky wife when we go to other steak houses often has to send her filet mignon back because she loves it medium rare which other steak houses get wrong the 1st time but now here. It was perfect along with the rest of her food. Our server Manny asked us ahead of time if we wanted the special October edition desert incase we wanted to order it for dessert before they were all taken. That was a courtesy most servers in other steak houses do not extend and when the desert came it was epic. A skull with cat ears decorated to fit my wife's attire. She was blown away with that personal touch. And it was delicious Manny saved her the last one it was special. Also I was a difficult customer asking for diet soda every 10 minutes but he served us with a genuine smile. We love it when you can actually tell that server s enjoy their jobs. As in this case I requested the server get us avocado for our appetizer twice and asked for the dark brown bread snd we got everything we wanted in a fast and efficient manner. This is going to be a limited review as I've only tried one item but I will update it when I've tried more items. The restaurant looks gorgeous inside, very high end. You will forget you are living in El Paso when you dine here. I recently had the nachos and I'll say this, they are easily the best nachos in El Paso. They do not skimp on any ingredients, they give plenty of high quality steak and plenty of cheese and guacamole. Most places skimp on the meat but this place absolutely does not! I have ordered this twice, once in the restaurant and once to go. When you order to go they give you all the ingredients separately so you don't have a sloppy mess to eat when you get home. We had a reservation at 8pm and had to wait in the lobby until 8:20pm. When we were finally seated at our table both mine and my wife's silverware were dirty. Not simply watermarks on the silverware but grease and visible debri. Our waiter throughout the night continually set our appetizer and drinks on the opposing corner of the table away from us both and nearly served my entree into my lap if it wasn't for me grabbing it my self. The 16oz ribeyes we both ordered arrived cold with the fat of the steaks already congealed and an overall grey color in appearance. With one appetizer, two soft drinks, and two entrees our total peaked at $104. I feel I would've had a more pleasurable experience at Texas Roadhouse than how we were served yesterday night. read more

Me and the wife have eaten here four times now two eating in person and two pick-up. The first visit the food was awesome right after they opened, the service was slow but the waiter was covering a lot of tables, felt like we didn't have a good experience as others who had waiters not overburdened, such as the bread to the table that we never got. The other time in restaurant was literally the same experience waiting for help for refills and the check. The two pick up times we had were horrendous, we had ordered salads both times, the first time the staff as I was leaving after waiting 20 minutes past the time they said it would be ready and as I was leaving hearing them say at the front desk that they didn't leave a tip is kind of irritating but at least wait till out of earshot. The second time the salad as seen below must've been experiencing that inflation everyone is talking about and trying to give less for more. Also, their online website ordering doesn't allow you to request crispy chicken pieces like you can get in the restaurant only reheated chicken tenders from a kids meal or rubbery chicken breasts. Horrible presentation of food. We ordered a spinach dip and it was brought to us with bowl containing dip all over the tostadas and bowl. It looked like it had fallen and was just all put back on plate. When one of our main dishes was brought (ribeye steak) there were drops of bbq sauce all over the cutting board style plate as if another plates bbq sauce had spilled over or they had used a dirty plate . No steak knife was provided , we were having to ask for napkins, sweetener of our tea , salt and pepper shakers . We requested more bread and they only had dark bread ( yuck!)
