    The fig drink
    Gerrie S.

We were out with some friends on a Friday night and had reservations at another restaurant. We arrived and it was closed, not sure what that was about but we started walking on Mamaroneck Ave to find a quick replacement! We hadn't gone far when we came upon Little Drunken Chef. Our friends were not familiar but we knew of them from their other locations, Mt Kisco and Pleasantville sister restaurants! We walked in with no reservation but they did have a few tables available at the front and we took them willingly. They immediately took our drink orders , they gave a fun signature drink menu along with wines and beers. I ordered their fig drink (a bit too sweet but it was fine) and my friend ordered a lemon drop martini. The guys got beers. All good. We ordered some empanadas and a salad. There were 3 large empanadas in the app order , plenty, and the salad was also enough for 4 pp to share! For our entrees we each got something different ...chicken malai kabob, street tacos, chicken quesadilla, and one other Indian dish, all delicious. The tacos and quesadillas were small plate the other two entrees were delicious and plentiful. All in all it was great! Service was also super friendly and we didn't feel rushed. We will be back!

Hi, I have a soy allergy and they cook with soybean oil so couldn't enjoy the empanadas or Indian. But they made me a salad with shrimp cooked in olive oil. So kudos to the chef for avoiding soy. Ambiance is rustic, the dangling fake flowers aren't neededin my opinion. Server was awesome with allergies.

A coworker and I went to try their taco Tuesday specials and I have to say we did the drinks happy hour and the all you can eat tacos. The tacos all were delicious . The drinks were ok too light and sweet for me. The service was not bad I just think the bar was too busy for them to pay attention. If I have to look and get your attention there's a problem but over it wasn't that bad. The ambiance and decor were beautiful. We will try it again because we loved the tacos.

The restaurant has a charming atmosphere, with a clean interior and a good number of seats. The menu is unique, offering a fusion of Mexican and Indian cuisine, making it an interesting choice for after-work meals or takeout. However, if you're planning to visit during lunch, be prepared for a potentially long wait time. A group of us went for lunch, but the service was slower than expected, so we ended up taking our food to go. I ordered the Chicken Fajita Bowl. The portion size was decent, and the food was okay, though not particularly memorable. On the plus side, they offer street parking with meters, which is convenient for some.

This restaurant had so many food options to offer from brunch to Mexican and Indian food. Their food is very tasty and filling. Very good spot to hang out if you're not sure what to eat.

Went in for a family celebration and we really liked the unique blend of choices on their menu. Their Mexican choices along with their Indian options will cater to all palettes. We ordered the chicken haryali kebab with rice which was really creamy and very well cooked. The chicken vindaloo along with the fried calamari was excellent as well. The barbacoa Birria soup was a little under-seasoned but hearty nevertheless. The service was excellent, as an anecdote, there was a small delay for our breads and the chef whipped up an excellent curry to go with our naans and we really loved the curry - we've asked them to consider adding that curry to their menu :)

This restaurant is located in the heart of downtown White Plains. The owner has several other locations in Westchester. The decor inside is cool. Each table is topped with a long white candle. The wax drippings form sculpture-like creations on top of the glass candle holders. The edgy wallpaper and dark lighting give it a bit of a macabre vibe. However, they were blasting reggaeton music Saturday around 6:30pm so the ambiance was very much a melting pot, as was the menu. It was a fusion of Indian and Latin with dashes of Italian and American. I was excited to try the impossible bolognese, but they were sadly sold out so I opted for the paneer tikka masala and cocktail samosas. The samosas were very dense. Not quite as flaky as you might find at a traditional Indian restaurant, but still very tasty. I asked for the paneer to be extra spicy and it had a decent kick but wasn't too crazy. It was very rich with lots of charred flavor. It came with basmati rice and a small side salad. My mom got the aloo gobi and said the sauce was very bland. She also tried the chicken scarpariello special and enjoyed it. My sister got the goat stew and said it could've used a bit more flavor. They both enjoyed the shrimp tostada starter. It included two pieces and a generous amount of shrimp. To drink, I had the drunken margarita. Our waiter warned that it would be very strong, but it was nothing special. The fig caipirinha was a little on the sweet side, but tasty. For the check, they have a service that allows you to scan a QR code on the receipt and pay with Apple Pay, which was pretty cool and efficient. Overall, I liked this place. The staff were very attentive. Signs inside the restaurant mentioned that they have a trivia night and dancing on Friday and Saturday starting at 10:30pm so it seems like a fun place to check out for more than just the food.

The restaurant is marketers as a a Spanish tapas restaurant, but there's also Indian dishes on the menu. Presentation on empanadas was good, but they were dry. Wine was old - like it had been opened a while ago. Salad was really good - fresh and the steak that I added was grilled perfectly. Shrimp tostadas were ok. If I return, I'd stick with the salad and bypass the tapas.

Came here for the second time this year. When my friend told me she would be in White Plains, I immediately suggested this restaurant for us to go to. Music was great but not too loud, we were able to hear each other easily. I got a Caesar salad this time with grilled chicken and it was delicious. Portion size was generous and I loved it. My friend got a bowl with steak and loved it also. We got there in time for happy hour drinks and the prices were amazing. Drinks were valid; not too strong, just right. Will be back again on a weekend to try brunch next time. Bartenders, services and chef were outstanding! Restaurant is super cute and not overly crowded.

    Chicken Saag. $13. Great price.

I was exploring spots on Mamaroneck ave and came across Little Drunken Chef. What a great find. Proud of my diligent research...thanks to Yelp!!! The spot nailed it on all cylinders. Food, service, ambiance. I went with one of the Indian dishes seeing that the owner is Indian. Was given the run down by my awesome bar tender who explained the diverse menu options. For those who know Indian food, you know what Saag is, for those of you who don't, it's a must try. It's like a creamed spinach with Indian spices. I ordered the one with chicken, but they offer it without as well. The price for this dish ($13) was a shock for me, as I'm used to seeing it for $17 or more. Side note and tip...if you want a spicy kick to your dish-ask for a side of the vindaloo sauce. The only other option for spice is Tabasco. This place is such a cool spot. I could have stayed longer just reading the walls. The art on the walls and the overall design is very unique. Can't wait to go back!!!!

Pretty cool spot in White Plains. Has many different food selections on the menu. The concept of mexican/indian options is unique. The tacos are really good! The chicken tikka masala is a nice big portion. The garlic bread naan is so good! I dipped it in the sauce. Good drinks and drafts. Inside the vibes are chill and the upstairs area is a nice spot to hang out with friends. I will be coming back.

I'm rating this a 6/10 - BUT I would come back. Location is pretty central - STREET PARKING. Ambiance and mood is very welcoming. It's moody and not super noisy. Music is pretty wide range from R&B, pop etc Service was pretty good. Our server was very nice and super helpful. Food, however, fell a little short. Although presentation was really nice - it wasn't fulfilling. The menu was like an international menu - Mexican, American, middle eastern inspired - very odd . But, All in all - I would TRY it a second time...

The ambiance is top notch, especially on a busy Friday night. Packed to the gills with some of the most beautiful people living in and around White Plains, it is a treat to come here when everything else has already closed and the party. must. go. on! :-) However, I do have one bone to pick. The bouncer stationed at the front is extremely and suddenly rude. I was shocked last night by this experience. At first, I was let in just fine, told that I just needed to "sheath" my bluetooth speaker that I usually use to provide my own musical ambiance when traveling up and down Mamaroneck Avenue. I walked around inside unscathed, was even so lucky as to catch the eye of a few beautiful ladies- lucky me. I stepped outside to catch a breath - so packed inside - and saw one of those same ladies inside through the glass window. We made momentary eye contact, and I was going to re-enter to chat with her, when the bouncer appeared out of nowhere and told me, rudely, to leave at once. That he had had "too many complaints about me". I truly had done nothing to receive this treatment. I hadn't had a drink all night, I was dressed exquisitely, and I'm an above average dancer. And yet, when I told him I had done nothing, his response was "LEAVE. NOW." I mean, WTF? Other than that, it is great there. I might go back one day if that bouncer receives an attitude adjustment. But until then, I'll steer clear and spend my time at Cantina, whose doorman is MUCH nicer to the clientele and is much less likely to be on some substance when allowing people in the door.

The flavor is a nice sweet and mild spicy combo on the sticky, saucy side. It's a fun switch up from traditional flavors. I just wish they had a little more crisp to them. Drinks, atmosphere, and energy are really what make this place. Food is good enough to enjoy while you're there, just don't go in expecting top tier wings. Overall, a fun spot to hang out.

Smooth start. Now let's talk food... because Brazen Fox hit the mark. First up, the fried pickles--super crispy, hot, and coated in a beautiful, crunchy batter that had my wife and I questioning life choices for not ordering two plates. Like, who gave these pickles permission to be this crispy and this good? Then came the star of the show--the buffalo chicken wonton tacos!! Listen... these were my FAVORITE. Crispy buffalo chicken, perfectly tucked into a AMAZINGLY CRISPY AND TASTY wonton shell, with that blue cheese bringing it all together like a family reunion that actually gets along. Simple presentation, BIG flavor. The chicken shawarma stepped in real smooth too--tender chicken thighs, jalapeño cilantro sauce, tzatziki, and charred naan bread (I think it was really pita bread). The fresh tomato cucumber salad, I'd say, was the star on that plate. It was giving "I know what I'm doing" energy. Every bite hit. And let's not forget the steak frites--because yes, the steak was great, and I love steak! Cooked right, flavorful, and paired with a peppercorn sauce and hand-cut fries that made me pause mid-bite just to nod in approval like a food critic on TV. Now the vibe... this place has that old-time upscale pub feeling, a classy modern-day ragtime feel with huge wrap around bar and televisions placed on the walls in a way that is not overwhelming and doesn't interrupt the old-time era feeling. Comfortable, polished, stylish, and just a great place to sit back, eat good, and enjoy yourself. All in, about $135 after tip--and honestly, worth it for the experience, the flavors, and the fact that I'm still thinking about those tacos. Brazen Fox... yeah, I'll be back. Probably sooner than I should be.
