Ok get ready for another opinion. I love Asian style food. Obviously with Wok in its name, we can assume a Chinese destination. The first thing is you check the menu, and they have all corners covered. What's truly amazing is the prices are around 25% lower than the competition. You would think micro plates, and dismal service. Not here! You have a true sumptuous delicacy. I have tried maybe 12 dishes and soups. Everyone left me satisfied beyond expectations. I really, really love this place it a little hole in the wall in Burbank and very close to my job! There isn't many options but I'm glad we gave western wok, I always get the spicy tofu lunch special with white rice! And they give you a free yummy spring roll on the side! Delicious food and great value! Thanks to a friend, I finally tried Western Wok! I've driven past so many times and thought that it was closed. It has it's own parking lot in the back. Every dish has been tasty and vibrant. Large portions, great for sharing. Rice is included, as it should be. Good service and a clean, tidy dining room. We've tried Frontier Wok, but the prices are at least 20% more per dish and rice isn't included. Definitely making Western Wok our go to for reasonably priced, delicious food. read more

Food is horrible and the worst service ever! They don't even put napkins or utensils to go! Worst restaurant I've ever been to! The 17. Spicy Thai Seafood Soup tasted like leftover overcooked vegetables! It tasted and looked like leftovers (look at pictures)! Vegetables and broccoli where old, soggy and overcooked & there was literally no Seafood in the so called "spicy Thai seafood soup", the only seafood is that little piece of fish u see in the picture and imitation crab! Before trying the food, I asked if I could get some extra spicy sauce, since they only gave me 2 tiny sauces for the 4 large plates I ordered for takeout. The server said she could only give me one tiny spicy sauce per plate, and that she would charge me $2.00 dollars for an extra 4 sauces. See picture attached of the size of the tiny spicy sauce and that is even only half full. So then I said to the server that I wanted to dine in my food at the restaurant, and she said I would have to pay for service. What, pay for service? I paid for the food, isn't that the restaurants service? Horrible service! I can't believe they can't give a customer some extra spicy sauce or worst, I can't believe they wanted to charge me to dine in e eh I had already paid for my food. This server has been very mean in the past when I have come to dine in. doesn't care to treat customers with respect and not only does she looks like she's mad at work but treats customers as she's being forced to work as a server. This was my first time there. I ordered the lunch special to go, and when I got home there was no soup in tbe bag. I had the Kung Pao chicken and fried rice, and both were really good. The egg roll was room temperature and not very good... inside was mushy like mashed potatoes. The gitl who took my order was a little rude, but maybe she was just busy. I say rude because she walked by my table and pointed to a nag on the counter and said that's yours, not good customer service in my opinion. Anyway, it may just be me. I've been coming to this location for over two decades. My first visit goes back to when this place was called The Frontier Wok. The walls were covered in signed photographs of various celebrities that had visited the place. There were news clippings praising The Frontier Wok for its service and exceptional menu. The change was welcome, to be sure - but somehow I miss the old style Although it is now called Western Wok, the place continues its tradition of serving quality food. I've found prices to be reasonable and their portion sizes to be agreeable. I have never had a bad experience - whether I was dining in or having my order delivered. I'm also very concise with what I want and they're pretty good at executing my wishes Picky eaters are definitely welcome here. If you're feeling a bit under the weather, I recommend their Spicy Seafood soup with a small side of steamed rice. It's literally like Grandma's Soup from Wind Waker (for my fellow LoZ fans ). I should've known better than to come back even though it had been a couple years. It was very close to my girls volleyball game so I thought I would try it again. When I picked up my to go order, I asked for either two paper plates or just one empty to go containers so that my kids had something to eat off of as I was bringing the food back to the gym where they were playing volleyball so they could eat between games. The lady working there so they have no plates and she had to charge me one dollar each for an empty container. I even asked for just one Styrofoam container which I could rip into and use each half as a plate for the kids to eat off of. She wanted to charge me $.50 for that, but I only had a credit card and there was a fee to use that. So finally a stranger that had been sitting in the restaurant waiting for their food stands up with five dollar bill and offers to pay for my 50 Cent Styrofoam container. Can you imagine all this to just not give a pain customer one single to go container that probably cost them two cents???? horrible customer service, which is no surprise since they've given horrible customer service before. I've been driving by this place for over 25 years now and I finally took the time to stop in and give it at taste. This seems to be a popular spot for locals, as people kept coming in, and I can see why. The service is fast and adequately friendly, the portions are large and the prices are very reasonable. The booths are large and comfy, but it's not the cleanest restaurant you will visit (My poor little tea pot was dirty and sad). As I said, the food portions are large and very reasonably priced. Steamed Chicken Dumplings, spicy kung Pao chicken, Spicy Garlic Beef, and Beef chow Mein, all tasty. The Egg Drop Soup was my least favorite, as it was excessively gelatinous and salty. Horrible food, incorrect order and major attitude the last time we ordered on top of higher prices. Against better judgement we tried one more time thinking it was just a bad day.. Boy were we wrong. We ordered for delivery this time rather than picking up. Before my boyfriend could even take the order out of the delivery guys hands he exclaims "What no tip?!" "Gas is expensive!" As my boyfriend processed the attitude I checked the order, which was wrong. The chicken was missing from the string bean chicken and there was no utensils, napkins or soy sauce. The guy stormed off the porch and a few minutes later another driver delivered our correct order and bolted before we could give a tip. Okay. Gotta get back on here and update y'all on this place. In my last review, we said we basically only order said favorites. Today we tried to shake things up and tried some new entrees: 1. Beef Crispy Noodles 2. Chicken and Mixed Vegetables 3. Salt & Pepper Shrimp 4. Green Beans & Chicken (our usual) 5. Hot and Sour Soup (our usual) ALL. AMAAAAAAAAZING!! I mean, Western Wok, you are doing it for me. I couldn't breath I was so full. We still have food left over for tomorrow and we ordered all SMALL portions. The hot and sour soup was EXTRA spicy this time, and I loved every minute of it. Everything just tastes so fresh and well seasoned... The Chicken & Veg was very clean and light, perfect if you don't want a heavier taste profile. Beef Crispy Noodles will now be a new staple, and if you like Salt & Pepper anything, their shrimp version was fantastic. Nice plump shrimps. We love you Western Wok! read more
