I love love this place! I grew up in the area and this place was just a 3 min walk from me. My family would always come here almost every morning or they would just send me to get donuts, I remember when they would give us free donut holes! Surprisingly good donuts at Westernco. The exterior looks pretty blah and the interior too for that matter. But Westernco really delivers on taste. It is a little further down the street from Crossroads Mall. There is no way to turn from the other side of the street if you are driving. You will need to drive on 156th Ave heading towards Redmond to reach the entrance. There is a selection of baked goods here, but donuts dominate the options. If donuts are not your thing, I did see muffins, danishes and turnovers being offered as alternatives. The donut selection was a bit overwhelming. It wasn't labeled so I had to ask what exactly each item was. I picked up a glazed donut, a cinnamon roll/donut and a cheese danish for $3.50. The cheese danish tasted by the numbers, but the two donuts were really good. The glazed donut reminds of the Krispy Kreme version which is nice since it saves me a long drive to Issaquah. The cinnamon roll/donut was impressive for its ability to hold up after a day. If I was given this donut by someone, I would not have had any clue that this was a day old donut. Tasted fresh still. The lady was pretty rude. She has the attitude of "hurry up and get out of my store so I can serve other customers". The donuts are fine. But I have been overcharged!!! (This happened in September 2020) On Sept 27, I asked the lady behind the counter for the price of a dozen; it was around $13.50. She told me that is all I can choose. So I picked some donuts; then noticed some nice apple pie (very nice actually). I asked for two. She didn't say anything and once I picked all 12, she asked me to pay. I insert the credit card without paying too much attention to the price. I later found the charge was $16.50 (with tax). What? It doesn't add up! On Sept 30, I went back. Same lady, I asked why it was $16.50 (with tax). She said maybe I picked something not included...she can't speak good English, so I asked is that $13.50 something including the choice of apple pie, she then said that is extra. Why she didn't tell me on Sept 27? Then she started to turn very rude and pull down her mask and started to speak very loud. I told her the price was very confusing. I was trying to ask nicely the other way around, "what is the included for half dozen" (I think it was $7.70)...she said the regular donuts. I asked how much is regular donut, she said $1.10 each. I immediately question her why is half dozen donut is $7.70, while 6 of the same donut cost only $6.60? I finally bought 4, and cost me $4.40 + tax.
