The food was good enough. The waitress seemed to be more interested in socializing with her coworkers than bothering with her tables!! When I mentioned this to someone I was told that all three of them took turns taking care of tables. 5 stars for their Bismarks!!!! I haven't had one in over 10 years and they are as delicious as I remember. If you haven't tried one, I'd recommend a trip there just to try them out. Its Friday again already and I'm still stuffed from all the XMAS food but my buddy (Mr. X) and I have to continue our search to find the best lunch value in RI. What brings us here to this tiny neck of the woods? Well....Mr. X has been here many moons ago and thought it would be a good spot. He wasn't wrong. So lets get right to the pluses........THEY HAVE BISMARK's! And what is a BISMARK? The definition(according to some internet dictionary): Berlin doughnut: a raised doughnut filled with jelly or jam Well.....not quite right. The Rhode Island version is a raised doughnut that is filled with jelly but more importantly it is filled with whipped cream! So think of a nice Dunkin Donut Jelly Stick sliced down the middle and filled with FRESH whipped cream. Yum yum......very nice and I think it only cost 1.45. That is a bargain. Have two! For lunch Mr. X had a small italian grinder (4.00) and a side of fries. He seemed content and said it was fine. But fine with Mr.X generally means it is lacking something. The grinder appeared to have a few pieces of italian sliced meat with lots of shredded lettuce tomato and some cheese. Last weeks Reale's visit in Westerly produced a better one I think. A good size side of fries showed up and again, I think they were fine. I chose the luncheon special. Chicken Salad on grilled raisin bread sprinkled with dried cranberries. It also came with fries for 6.25. It was a very good sandwich but the fries where a big let down. They were of the frozen variety and not very tasty (although I did chow down on them). The waitress was great and very friendly. The food came out quickly. We had an excellent view of the pastry case and we knew those Bismarks where going to make their way to our table. The bill? 17.95 So if you are ever in the area and need some cheap eats....give them a try. No gold card needed here. Always consistent! Great service as well. I often stop in just to grab a quick coffee- it's that good. Kids love all they have to offer, especially the bismarcks! If you've never had one you need to go and try one. We have also done sit down breakfast here- always have great daily specials and food is great. Wish they were open daily! read more

This is our first year as a seasonal camper in a local campground. We ventured out one Sunday morning looking for a nice breakfast spot. Yelp directed us to this great place where the service is great, has a nice bakery to go along with an exceptional meal. My wife and I always share a Bismark for starters. My favorite meal is the lemon filled pancakes with raspberry sauce fit for a king. Everything there is good that we have tried. We look forward to this stop on our Sundays before we head to the beach or back to the camp. Try it, you will not be disappointed. read more

Great deli / restaurant conveniently located off of 95. Had the BLT and it was a perfect size and delicious. My boyfriend had the burger with peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheese and he liked it. Middle of the road breakfast. The homefries are above average & eggs Florentine had fresh spinach. The bacon was terrible, so dry the small strips crumbled into smaller pieces. Holy breakfast batman! Hands down excellent baked goods and enough beverage and menu choices to keep everyone pleased. The place is small and the locals know the score so be prepared to wait a few minutes on the weekend. It's worth it for the homefries and any omelette. Went for breakfast food was good the service not so good, As soon as food was served our check was thrown on table and we never saw waitress again. Luckily another one came around to give us more coffee, I had to get up to get my own to go containers, and when I complained I was pretty much ignored. the donut"s are like the ones i used to get at the donut kettle in west warwick 60 years ago. once you have one no others will satisfy you again. nice and chewy not too sweet perfect. the bismarks are the best anywhere. and for breakfast the eggs benedict are awsome. read more
