I don't know. Subjectively, I wasn't here long enough to connect with the place. I ordered to go. Subjectively I was in a pretty crappy mood so I'm gonna give a strong objective shot at this review. The burger........ it was a burger. Once you have a really really good burger, the bar is super high. I got the single cheeseburger with bacon and mayo. These burgers are smash burgers which if you read up on what a smash burger is it seems ultimately like a way to charge more for a little piece of meat. There's apparently some science to making smash burgers but it didn't elevate this experience for me. But it was good! The fries were fries and nothing special. Now, I really value and appreciate customer service. I pay well when I receive great customer service. I walked in to place my to go order and was greeted by a very sweet waitress who complimented me strongly on the glasses I was wearing. I was directed to the bar to place my order. After a few minutes the waitress at the bar (not quite a bartender) took my order. It looked like she was writing it down. Then she had me walk 3 feet to the left where the POS was to enter my order and pay where she proceeded to ask me for my order all over again as if we hadn't just gone over it 30 seconds prior. After placing my order (which included a drink), I stood there while my food was prepared. About 10 minutes later, the waitress at the bar who took my order asked if I would like some water while I wait............................. So, I told her no, but I would take my drink (soda) that I ordered, now. Another 10 minutes later, my burger was done and the fry guy gave me the ole 5 minute hand gesture on my fries. That's cool. While I'm waiting, I ask the bar waitress about the outdoor area which is currently under construction. She said there's gonna be some cabanas and personal seating areas, a cornhole area, and an area for some live music with a couple of bars. It sounded really cool and I look forward to seeing how it turns out. After about 5 more minutes (hang with me here), the fry guy dropped my fries off on the to go rack behind the bar. At this time the bar waitress and some other staff are just chillen, joking, talking, having a good old time. About 5 more minutes go by and I'm just standing there waiting (I wasn't gonna say anything. I needed to let it play out). Finally, the fry guy, after looking around several times trying to figure out what was going on, packaged my food and handed it to me. And I was on my way. I'll go back here eventually to really get the full experience and update this review, but for now it just wasn't a great first experience. Also, sorry I don't have any pictures. The food is amazing. The boneless wings were soo tasty. We got a bunch of burgers and fries. Everything was fresh and made to order. The hot dog was okay but the amazing burgers made up for it. The waitress was so nice and incredible to our children. The whole staff was welcoming and after dinner we went outside to play on their back patio that is very kid friendly with lots of free space. We arrived at the Westside and were promptly seated. Three adults and an almost 3 year old. The waiter came over and took our order, I noted he did not write anything down. We received our drinks promptly and then we waited. And waited. About 45 minutes later the waiter came over, brought 2 orders of fries over. But all 3 adults ordered fries. We finally got his attention and he brought over the other order of fries. Someone that works there walked by my grandson and hit him in the face with a box, causing a scratch on his face. "Oops, sorry!" And they kept walking. 10 minutes minutes later our burgers came out, pretty small, my daughters burger was not what she ordered and the waiter was like "well it will be another 20 minutes for another one". My daughter said that is fine. My grandson's grilled cheese was also burned. It was a disappointment, we do not go out very often. My husband and I stopped in here after we visited the farmers market! Westside is a very cute burger joint, I liken it to an upgraded Freddys or Five Guys. We got the pickle fries, two cheeseburgers w/ fixings, and a hotdog and it ran us about $40, which sure, is more than the fast food burgers, but all of the food was delicious, the staff were super helpful and polite, and it's a cute ambience. I will say, service was good and food came out quick but there was only one other table seated at the time. I couldn't even eat the wings. The breading was mushy and so salty. The look at the place is super cute It looks like when they're outdoor area is finally open that's gonna be a fun area to be able to go and spend time out there. Tried the place for the first time. Unfortunately, it's pretty much a typical burger joint, somewhat overrated and overpriced with a la cart prices for toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, etc. Possibly on par with the likes of Five Guys, etc. Also did not appreciate, each item ordered served on single service small paper plates and served separately at different times instead of waiting for the fries to be done an served with burger at the same time. Drinks came in small styrofoam cups as well...causing multiple refills! Lastly, I did not appreciate the additional fee, in this case, "Support Equitable and Fair Wages for Kitchen Staff" tacked on the bill. Perhaps employees should consider the pay when applying for the job and hold the owner responsible for providing "fair wages" instead of tacking these fees onto the customers. read more

Went to Westside Burgers for their soft opening and enjoyed everything that came to the table! The fried pickles and burgers were my favorite but everything else was just as good! The servers were friendly and fast! Even though this was a soft opening they had a good run down during lunch service. The dining area was nice and clean. It's hard to find good fried pickles and theirs are delish, done as pickle fries and reminiscent of a spicy, tangy zucchini fry. The team service was impressive. I will start with the arrival. The place was not full, but the hostess told us it would be a 5-10 minute wait. Ok, doesn't make sense, but we can wait a few. She claimed the waitresses were backed up, from what I could hear. The place is loud and she was not articulate or loud enough to be heard. About 5-10 minutes later, she wants to seat us at the table right at the door. Right where everyone is standing waiting to be seated. Right where I was standing!! Now, there are multiple other tables available, why would I want to be seated at the table where all the customers are standing with their butts in my face while I am trying to eat? They need to just do away with Table 11!! I can't imagine sitting there. As we were sitting, they never did put anyone in the two tables beside us, even though there were people coming and multiple couples left. There was only my wife and I, yet they seat us at a four person table. There are two person tables available. While I appreciate the larger table, the bigger families that came in after us would have loved to had been seated. They could have pushed the two tables together and made a 4 person table. They did seat someone at Table 11 and like I suspected, when I turned it down, people standing around you waiting to be seated with their butts in your face. Food is limited, but the Hamburger was good. With that said, it is over priced for what you get and what is offered. It is basically an overpriced fast food place. But instead of your burger wrapped in paper, it comes out on a paper plate and your fries are in a pressed board container (so, no dishwasher needed. everything gets thrown away). The French fries are not fresh cut and overly salty. I could not believe being charged for everything to add to my hamburger. They charge for the lettuce (two little wilted leafs I saw on someone else's burger for .50), charge for the pickles (3/.50), onions, mushrooms ($1.00), the waitress asked me if I wanted mayo and I declined because I didn't know if I was going to get charged for it. My wife ordered hers without a bun (should've gotten some off since you are charging for everything) and it was brought out and as the server started to walk away we had to ask for a knife and a fork to eat it. Oh, do you need a fork? Nah, that's alright, I'll just pick it up like a cave man and eat it. French fries were not delivered at the same time as the burgers. Half-way done with our burger and the fries finally show up. Not hot, not cold but clearly forgotten. Again, I noticed another table where the wife got her burger, 5 minutes later the man get's his fries and looked like boneless wings, then the wife got her onion rings. This isn't a five star eatery where you get your appetizer, your salad, your meal, your dessert. This is a glorified fast food dive. I tried it, but I will not be be back. read more
