The house was fairly new, built ins 2018 and we never knew about the issues with the performance until they showed us. Very reasonable cost

Excellent customer service. I had initially considered converting to a heat pump for efficiency…read more Eric came, assessed our situation, and offered a few options. We came to the conclusion that upgrading wouldn't be worth it. A heat pump would require a new electrical panel, there were no incentives as I'm propane & not electric, and the duct work is not set up for AC. I wasn't pressured or upsold to a system that would be of no benefit to me but would have made them a tidy profit. We did however, decide that my 25 year old furnace was on it's last legs & needed to be replaced. An appropriate sized unit was chosen. The installers arrived on Monday and finished it in one day. There was a glitch in the exhaust plumbing that was discovered a few days later. I called and since it was late in the day, said that tomorrow would be OK. A technician was there in an hour. He called the office and told them it would take a couple of hours to fix. Once again, I said tomorrow would be OK as we have wood heat too. He got it all fixed then had to run off to another call. The thermostat wasn't working right and they sent someone all the way out to reprogram it. I couldn't ask for better service. Maybe I could have gotten a better price, I didn't check but for what they've done it was worth what I paid. Good solid company after the sale.

Overall it's a shame that Steve, the owner, is so rude and challenging when you ask a question…read moreabout the charges. Hard to believe, but he spoke harshly and hung up on me when I asked why there was an additional $99 charge. I even said I was not refusing the payment; I just wanted an explanation. That said, Morgan, the technician that reset the button (literally all needed), was lovely, thorough, and pleasant. My system is old and will need to be replaced; however, Steve got his wish - I paid the additional $99 and will never do business with Earthwise again, and I hope you will not either. Rude behavior is the last thing a customer should expect, especially from the owner. Note: Steve could have fixed this with a callback, a simple explanation, or an apology for his rude comments and hang-up. One can hope he may read this review and do better in the future. .

The garage is cool and the rest of the house is hot, especially upstairs. I noticed a two inch gap around a cover . The wrong cover had been installed and just taped on rather than getting screwed on. No tape I can find will hold it on and the air pressure forces it open again. I called Earthwise to have them fix it. My first call was May 18. They didn't call back. Two more calls in the next week got me the reply of "We are busy". They need to make this good by getting the correct part or fabricating one. The AC unit was well over $3000. I have made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Brenden was exceptional!…read more We just moved into our home. We had a home inspection and our plumbing came back all good! A couple days after we moved in, we kept hearing the most bizarre sounds in the wall. We researched plumbing companies & Cornels came right up. I reached out on a Tuesday and got a response within minutes! We were able to chat via text which was honestly very convenient. They were able to address my concerns professionally & were soooo friendly. I was able to get scheduled the very next day. Wednesday morning rolled around and I got a text with Brenden's picture, which made me feel super safe and even provided a little information about him. He then called and asked if it was a good time for him to head over and gave his ETA. When Brenden arrived he was friendly, warm, and so professional. He was able to easily see what was going on, explain to me in a way I could understand what was going on, and assured me if we still continued to hear the noise to call back. I truly will call Cornels for any of our plumbing or heating needs!! Brenden was wonderful & secured a life long costumer!

This company is going to break your bank. I hired them in August 2025 for air conditioner service…read more The technician said my unit was leaking Freon and too dirty to clean. He said ge would not service it because it will only make it a couple of weeks. They charged me $89 anyways. I called and got a refund since they refused to service it. Nice that they refunded money for service they never performed. They gave me an estimate of over 10k to replace it. I called clean air act. They serviced it up and said it's still has a lot of life left. Now 2026 Chris is texting me wanting to service it on a special of $49. Why? So they can refuse to service it again? They only want to replace units not service them. Here is a picture how they left it last summer. Refused to clean it too. It is still running strong.

We purchased a new build home in Woodburn with a Bryant furnace and Rinnai tankless water heater…read moreboth installed by ProHeating. We called ProHeating a year later to service both and were quoted $89 each for the service call that included flushing the water heater by Cynthia. I specifically asked about the flushing because several sources state it's important and we've never owned one like this before. Two technicians showed up on time and proceeded to do the service and after about 45 minutes came to let us know they were done. When we asked why the water heater had not been flushed they just looked at each other and said nobody told them to do it. They called the office and Cynthia made another appointment to get it done and didn't charge us for the initial $89 for the water heater service. Then a couple days later she texted and said their flushing equipment was down so the appointment is cancelled and she would let us know when we could reschedule. Forward one month and the trouble code comes on the water heater so we call them back. Cynthia says their flushing equipment technician must have forgotten to reset the water heater after he serviced it so she'll send him out in Monday to do that. She also tells us that the pump needed to do the flushing is still on back order so they still can't perform that service. We'll it's Monday now and Bianca called and said their flushing equipment technician won't be coming out today. He's unavailable for the next few months. That's all, no solution for the trouble code or offer to help. They installed an appliance they can't and won't service. They have the poorest customer service I can imagine. I would never call them again.

Billy Buckhannon came out 3 times last Winter to work on my furnace - the last time in March 2022…read more I only use my furnace when it's very cold as I have a gas fireplace. I turned on my furnace this year and it didn't work - again. So I called another company to look at my furnace this time. I was told that the ignitor put in last March was the wrong voltage - that it was an 80V instead of 120V. After doing some research I discovered that the 120V was the correct voltage because the furnace's board was replaced (by Billy) in December; otherwise the 80V would have been correct. Seemed like an honest mistake, so I called Billy to ask him to install the correct part. Instead of apologizing for installing the wrong part, he took no responsibility for the error. He said it was an honest mistake that he was given the wrong part. I agreed, but explained that I shouldn't have to pay for the same service again because he installed the wrong part and that he should make it right. By this time, he was SHOUTING at me over the phone that it wasn't his fault and that it was over the 30 day labor warranty. He was yelling at me and acting as though I was being unreasonable by asking him to install the correct part. He finally yelled that if it would "appease" me, I could send him the bill for the labor for the repairs and he would reimburse me for the labor. That I could send the wrong part that he installed back to the parts company as it was under warranty. By this time I told him I didn't like how he was speaking to me and hung up. It is inconceivable to me that an HVAC professional would install the wrong part and then become angry when asked to correct his mistake. I would recommend that you use another company if you need HVAC work and ensure that they stand by their work. People make mistakes, we all do, but how you react in those instances is a matter of character. Billy reacted poorly.
