I have been going to this restaurant for years for lunch and dinner. I tell everybody that everything is good. No matter what you order on the menu it is consistent and it is good. Just rocksolid all around. It is your local watering hole as well as feed bag. They have a pretty broad menu and it is just a sure thing every time you go. Also decent bar decent drinks decent beer selection. Not necessarily the place to go on your wedding anniversary but anytime you're looking for just a rock solid dining and drinks this is your stop. My wife and I ordered a cheesburger club sandwich , asked to substitute the fries with potato salad. Also ordered the "Sea-salt cheesecake to share between us. I picked it up, brought it home, the bread was not what we ordered, oh an no bacon at all "club" absolutely horrendous, it was extremely soggy, no potato salad what so ever, just soggy lettuce. The hamburger wasn't cooked( asked for it med. rare) The cheesecake was about the size of my middle finger. I ordered the Boston Sirloin with mashed potatoes and cole slaw. My wife had steak tips with a baked potato and salad. Kind of hard to screw up a salad and potato, so those were ok. The Cole slaw was bland, but I from the south, which is where Cole slaw is really Cole slaw. My wife's steak tips were way better seasoned than my sirloin. My sirloin had absolutely ZERO flavor. It was cooked to temperature, so that was good, but I couldn't even enjoy it because it just didn't taste good. I gave it to my dogs. Steak tips had season, but they still weren't the best I had ever had. Probably won't eat here again. A little salt and pepper never hurt anyone. read more

Just went there for dinner with a friend and I'm glad we stopped there. Briana was our server and she was very efficient and accommodating and friendly. I had onion soup that was delicious and the wendsydale salad that was awesome. My friend had stuffed artichoke and chicken parmigiana for entree and all was very tasty and generous portions. We have been locals for over 20 yrs. I think this was our second visit to Wetherlaines. My first thought is : What took us so long? The food is great. Real, fresh ingredients, simply prepared, delicious. We had French onion soup, grilled salmon, steak tips snd buffalo wings. I also had a sunset cosmo. Everything was very fresh snd so tasty. Cozy little restaurant in Attleboro shortly before Rhode Island. Good size menu, great value deals and specials and something for everyone. Boneless teriyaki tenders are very tasty. A sure favorite. Nachos are also stacked high and plentiful. Onion rings were good although some were undercooked when ordered well done. Writing it down would have helped. Burger is pretty decent. Nothing great, but does the trick. Steak tips were hyped up for me but were dry and a little rough. Good but not much flavor. But the mashed potatoes and grilled zucchini were delicious. Server got the steak tip ordered switched up. Service can be tough. 'Weather' it is mediocre for crowds not drinking, both times the server just didn't seem Interested and took her time. Pet peeve asking for a drink multiple times during a meal. Onion rings were ordered extra crispy they were more under cooked than anything. Extremely disappointed! As a busy family, my husband and I normally grab take out on the way home from the kids activities. For a while Weatherlane was our go to place and then every week the order was wrong. So we took a 3 month break and tried again tonight. Nope! We went here for the first time today to check them out. We tried various things, and nothing really excelled here. I had a "stuffy" which while large, was cold, not in my top ten list and expensive. Chowder was ok, clam cakes good, fried whole clams not great. Our server Alex was not great, even though the place was not busy. The place kind of reminds me of Gregg's in E. Providence. The food is served at nursing home temperatures, slow to come out of the kitchen, and it doesn't really taste or look like they cooked it "just for you". My second complaint is that many of the items on the menu are "market priced". Even the desserts are market priced, like the cost of them buying ice cream or carrot cake change from day to day. Wetherlaines's is the perfect hometown restaurant with burgers , sandwiches, homemade fries and draft beer. But it is also known for great steaks and seafood. My personal favorite is a cup of their soup followed by their salmon. Reasonable prices, fabulous waitstaff, and great food. What more could you want? read more

Went back to Wetherlaine's for the first time in a while tonight. Ordered something we've got there many times and my have things changed there! The quality and portion sizes of the food seems to have changed for the worse. The buffachos were the reason we come here and tonight they were gross! Not only just sloppily made just different chicken, different sauce, served in a bowl? The once before "handcut French fries" didn't seem to be handcut anymore and were greasy and undercooked. The cornbeef melt had cheap nasty cornbeef and the ciabatta bread the cornbeef came on was basically burnt black on one side. So disappointing this place has a great drink list, great environment and I enjoyed coming here. read more

I go here a lot. I have liked every app and meal I have ever ordered. I have tried a good amount of the menu items. Last time I got the artichoke dip and chips. It was good and they gave me a lot. My boyfriend and I ate here this evening for the very first time. I was very pleased with my meal and service. We stumbled upon this place a week or so ago while searching for a new place to eat. Unfortunately, we weren't able to make it then, but we did tonight. I got one of the specials; the London broil. My meal came with two sides. I got the baked potato and the house veggies, tonight it was zucchini and tomato; Yummy! I added a garden salad for my appetizer, and John ordered the onion rings for his appetizer (MUST TRY)! I was pleasantly surprised with the onion rings because they weren't the nasty frozen brands most restaurants have, I could tell they were made in house. John was also pleased with his meal. Wetherlaine's is my favorite hometown restaurant in this area. I grew up on Aquidneck island and when I moved off island I was looking for something similar to some of my favorite spots down there and I consider Wetherlaine's like the Brick Alley Pub of Attleboro. I am almost always satisfied by my meal. One of my all time favorite dishes is the buffalo chicken Alfredo that I always order with angel hair pasta instead of penne. It's fantastic! They also make amazing garlic bread and a great salad called the Wensleydale salad. The waitstaff is very friendly and I love that they hire kids from the high school. Been coming here for years and I definitely recommend a stop. Also like the fact they offer half price apps and weekday specials. read more

Been here a thousand times, always a great choice when you don't really know what you want. It's small, so you take your chances on getting a seat at the bar. No Keno, so you get to save a few bucks and will need to find other ways to donate to the State. We went Friday night around 7:00 and were told it was a 20 minute wait, which only turned out to be 10. They lied to us, but I guess we can let this one slide. The hostesses were very nice and always smiling. Gotta love that. The food is, and always has been, spot on. Scallops and Steak.....terrific. Best around as far as the scallops go. Highly recommend the Bourbon Street Steak. I've had this a bunch of times, always delicious. You wouldn't think this was a steak joint, but the 3 or 4 they have on the menu are excellent. They've been slowly updating the place with new paint and TV's that work. I do find that, for whatever reason, people feel the need to scream at each other when there. I don't know if it's the room, but it's always very loud. I guess once one person is yelling, you need to join in..... The only real knock here is the bartenders. I find that they are, in general, kinda not so friendly and seem to always been too busy to be nice. Maybe it's all the yelling.... They will always have several beers on tap and do a decent job of mixing in new ones from time to time. They currently have Be Hoppy, so they are OK in my book. The waitresses have all been there for years, which is impressive. Always nice, always extremely efficient and always asking how things are. And finally, the price. Right in line and not too over the top. One of those places where you always seem to be pleasantly surprised when the check comes. I will break this into sections. I am sure lunch is a far better meal here. The food is great. Great varied menu. Service is excellent. Even crowded the lady got to us often. Decor is interesting and varied. Ok, the bad part. Children. Small screaming children at 7PM at night. Screaming loudly, and often. One managed to scream most of the way for dinner. Loud at over twenty feet in a crowded pub style place. Louder than the people at the bar. Again, another place you would assume at 7 there would be only older children at worst. This is one of those places that I rarely think of, but once I eat there I'm always impressed by the quality of the food. I've never had a bad meal here. Their chili, served with tortilla chips, is possibly the best I've had and certainly the best in the Attleboro area. It's not your traditional chili with ground beef and kidney beans; rather, it's chunks of beef in a sauce topped with cheese and onions. The prime rib sandwich is also a favorite. Great atmosphere, friendly staff -- if I had a "local" place to hang out and have a few beers with friends, this would be it. But really I come here for the food which, while not particularly creative or innovative, is well-prepared, tasty, and fairly priced. If you're looking for comfort food or bar-type food, avoid the chain restaurants on Rt. 1 and hit Wetherlaine's instead. It's like they want to give it to you but they don't care too much about creativity or taste. I ordered the 'wasabi seared' swordfish that was on the menu as being something really special with soy and ginger involvement. Led me to believe that it was marinaded and grilled in those ingredients. What came was tasteless rice, a hunk of flavorless tuna with a little plastic cup of way too much wasabi - more than 6 people could eat - I thought it must have been a 'sauce'.. and about blew my head off! Alongside was a little plastic cup (I LOATHE little plastic cups on my dinner plate) of soy sauce with a single (really?) sliver of pickled ginger. The ONLY thing on the plate that smacked of giving a care was the grilled zucchini. My husband ordered the taco salad. The inside was 'ok' he said but the outer shell was oily and tasteless. I usually love them (I had a bite) ...we both agreed, it was awful. They didn't have the IPA advertised on the menu... 'any more'... SOOOOOO Take it off! Jeez! The waitress was very sweet and accommodating, however, she really should have taken it off the bill WHEN I expressed my extreme specific problems with the meal. As it was, I had to grab a menu and show her that it was NOTHING like it was described. Decor cool to look at, good atmosphere - a little outdated but ok. They really could 'spiff' up the entrance. This is my hometown favorite pub. Family friendly, yet the bar is separate enough for adults to grab a beer and feel comfortable. Food is unique and definitely all American. The ginger soy salmon salad is awesome... seemingly healthy but loaded with oil (just in case you think you are trying to fool yourself into thinking it is healthy). Not a place to try and be "good." They also have great pub deals such as 1999 menu prices and the afternoon munchie deals . Only downfall is the waitstaff can vary from being cranky to moderately nice. I have been to Wetherlaine's a few times -- some for casual dinner meetings and once with my family. Overall I have always been relatively pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere. it is a casual establishment which has a bar and some seating when you walk in. The bar provides a 'neighborhood hangout' vibe. Further in to the restaurant there is a separate dining room which is still casual but just a bit quieter. There is a TV in that room which was turned to hockey the night we went (but not the Bruins even though a game was on which seemed a bit weird). In the past I have had and really enjoyed the Cedar Plank Salmon...seriously tasty and kept me thinking about it. More recently I ordered the Filet and Scallop Scampi which wasn't really scampi style at all. It was good, but almost seemed more like a sort of spicy creole/cajun style thick sauce. They offer specials most evenings, and Thursday is their prime rib night. My dad had the prime rib which was juicy and tender, as was my filet. My mom opted for a pasta dish which she enjoyed but I didn't think was particularly memorable. We all agreed that the mashed potato side was a standout little star of my plate...lumps and all! read more

we ordered food through grubhub during a night shift in the icu. instructions were very specific as to where to deliver the food with a personal cell provided and authorization to text. 1 hr later " the food was delivered" or so grubhub claimed. food was nowhere to be found. first issue, we called the restaurant who denied ever receiving the order. issue number 2, a call back with the transaction number changed their story now claiming that " we needed to understand that was a grubhub issue and not their problem" food was never found and hopefully we will get 140$ refunded from grubhub. attitude from their manager was awful without any regards to even try to fix an order for 5 nurses working until 7 am. wont be getting any of our business read more

My husband and I have lived down the street for about 5 years but just started going to Weatherlanes. We decided to give it a whirl one night. I've gotten the veggie stir fry which was really good. Really good sized portion and the veggies were nice and crisp, not overly cooked. My husband got the clam chowder, it has a little too much sage I think, it tastes like Thanksgiving stuffing. But it is creamy and has a decent size of clams. We've gone a few more times and gotten a bunch of other things. Burgers are really good, flavorful, juicy. Fries are good. I got the pizza and salad appetizer once, it was a caesar salad topped with an individual pizza. I loved both. I've also gotten the filet, some of the fish items, and my husband got the prime rib. I've never not liked what I've gotten here. Their beers are $2 a pint which is actually cheaper than a soda! The decor is casual. The restaurant itself is very small, it's sometimes uncomfortable if you're seated in the back because you're so close to others. But it's overall not bad. That would be my only negative. It's always busy. I went at noon today because I was starving and it had a decent crowd. At night time there's usually a wait. They have crazy deals for lunch and for odd hours. Lunch time they have the Express menu, everything is $5.99. There's a bacon burger, a pizza quesadilla, clam cakes and clam chowder, steak and cheese grinder, caesar salad...and a few other things. They also have 1/2 price apps from 3-5pm every day. I'm not sure if they still do it, but after 9 on certain nights they were doing prices from 1999. My husband and I went out to a late dinner and got 2 burgers with fries and I think 2 cups of soup and the bill was like $11. Servers are pleasant. Restaurant is clean. Bathrooms are small but clean. Bar is small but the bartenders are pleasant and quick. I've never had a problem with this place!! read more

Weatherlanes is an awesome local restaurant... They have cheap drafts, good cocktails and super nice staff.. They're Appy Hour is awesome and ranges from $2.99- $6.00 (guesstamate) They have awesome burgers and I think they recently added a lot more upscale selection. Last time I went they had a lot of fresh seafood items and more gourmet sandwiches than I remember. I've always been a big fan of this place, so I was pretty thrilled when I moved to half a mile down the street! The menu has something for everyone... appetizers, steak, seafood, salads, pasta, burgers, pizza, dessert... you name it! The bar area is pretty small and gets pretty crowded during peak hours, but the cocktail menu is quite impressive for such a small place! You can't beat the prices here, either. If you work in the area, they do $5 lunch specials during the week, which I have no idea how they make a profit off of, as the portions are quite generous. The staff is friendly, the food comes out quick, and I've liked everything I've tried. For $5, you can join the frequent diner club, and they'll give you $5 for every $100 you spend. With alcohol included in this deal, It adds up pretty quick! read more

Sporting $2 Bud Lights all day and night, complimentary popcorn at the bar, dirt cheap lunches ($5.95 for options like chicken scampi, tacos, soup & salad) and a throwback late night menu (all prices [I think after 8pm, but don't quote me] are what they where when Wetherlaine's opened in 1998) makes for an quality neighborhood spot. Service is friendly if a little slow, and the bar can get cramped, but the place is a great value, especially the deals cited above. I would also recommend calling-in and to grab a good burger, buffalo chicken sandwich (less than $8) or the like on your way home if its too late or your just feeling lazy (aka all the time). It usually only takes a few minutes and if you get there early enough you have a built in excuse to enjoy a well priced beer (or three) on tap. read more

Hadn't been in since smoking was allowed in this restaurant (the place is so small smoking and non smoking really didn't separate and I really couldn't even tell you how the food was but I didn't return). Until now. Service didn't notice to seat us for almost 10 minutes and the place was pretty quiet, our server was polite but also scarce after we were served. That and the very small space are what I demote a star for. The four stars are for phenomenal food, great portions, excellent pricing/promotions and a super selection for children's meals.
