Paid $5.50 for a cup full of pizza bites. There were about 10pcs in there. I was asked if I wanted a dipping sauce like marinera. It was an extra $1.75. I didn't get it. My kid loves pizza. He should love this one too. Well... something is missing... There was no tomato sauce on these Pizza Bitz. WHAAAT? It was dry. My kid did not like it. It was their dough, cheese, and pepperoni. I love the cin-a-bitz here, but the latest drink 'Frozen Horchata' is not good at all. The texture is strange but the taste is worse, it tastes very fake and has a weird aftertaste. I will start by say that neither pretzel place at the Irvine Spectrum is the least bit impressive. I would expect more polite and competent service for any business operating at Spectrum. This is not the case. I don't know how they stay in business sometimes. I guess when your competition is just as bad, it kind of balances things out. My latest visit to this location I ordered 2 cheese pretzel dogs and a strawberry lemonade. I think the total was $11 and I forgot to check the dogs before I left and sure enough I got two regular dogs and paid for cheese dogs. The strawberry lemonade is watered down and probably not fresh lemonade. I have tried the pretzel bits with cinnamon sugar and they are alright. I think my dog is more a fan than I am, he loves his baked goods. I experience some of the same problems here that I have experienced at Auntie Annes, Pretzels are cold at times, burnt, or overcooked from sitting under the lamp for too long. If there were more snack selections at Spectrum, I think Wetzel's would probably go out of business. read more

Well, I can't resist a big sign showing a new product, so I decided to go in and buy the thing on the window. If I remember correctly it was called the Cherry Boba Frozen Lemonade. (I usually pick by pictures, so I'm bad at remembering item names.) From what I could tell, the boba are the popping kind, not the tapioca kind, so one doesn't need to chew it. The straws were a little narrow for the boba so it took a lot of inhaling to try and get them into my mouth. Of course, after there was no liquid left, I just poured them into my mouth. It also came with frozen lemonade and some cherry topping with some real fruit content in it. There was only one cashier at the time with all the other employees doing food prep so it took a short time for the party in front of me to get their food and leave. It also made it hard to line up since their people and strollers took up a lot of internal room. Numerical rating is for the item, not the experience as a whole, since I can't assemble the ingredients in that manner at Class 302 or prepare them using stuff at home either. (I'd just give it a normal 4 if it were based on the experience as a whole, but I found the item to be unique.) There is a PokéStop and a gym outside in front of the planter to the left of the entrance when facing it, as well as the lion fountain to the right. There is no internal seating so one has to sit on the nearby chairs or the planter. read more

I don't know what possessed me to stop in here, but I am guessing part of it had to do with hunger. We had just got out of a movie and both lil guy and I were hungry. Everyone around us were eating ice cream but we didn't want anything sweet. Hence, the lure into Wetzels Pretzels. I got the pretzel dog with jalepenos and lil guy the regular pretzel dog. The pretzel on the dog was under cooked and doughy -- stuck on teeth. The dog was sooooooooooooooooo salty. I did like the jalepenos though which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of one. I was really disappointed in these times where everyone is worried about cleanliness and disease spreading. The cashier was counting a lot of coins with her gloves on and then we ordered and she grabbed our food with the same dirty gloves without stopping to wash her hands and changing gloves. Pretzels are always really expensive, but the difference between these guys and the other pretzel place at Spectrum is these guys are much thicker. I alternate between the two, but I find my self leaning towards Wetzel's more recently. The service is always superior as well. Always greeted in a friendly, non-superficial manner. I had to wait in line for almost 30 minutes today to get 2 original pretzels. My one star rating, however, is mainly due to the poor service I received from the lady at the front counter. I asked for an extra small bag so that I can separate the pretzels and also grab a few packets of mustard. The Asian lady gave me an evil stare and rudely handed me that bag as if I was inconveniencing her. This happened around 3:15pm this afternoon. I was quite shocked by her immaturity and lack of basic customer service. As for the pretzels, $4.69 per pretzel seems a bit outrageous, and they didn't seem very fresh nor anything special. After this experience, I do not think I will ever get a pretzel from here again. I can probably make a better one myself and don't have to deal with rude workers. read more

We were initially in Auntie Anne territory, but when I stuck my head in, they looked like they've been sitting under the heat lamp for the past century. Dry would be an understatement. So we trekked our way over to Wetzels where it was much softer and not burnt. We got the pretzel nuggets which cost more than a regular pretzel but it had a lot in the bag. In fact, I even was able to take half home and reconstitute it in my toaster oven the next day. The side of sauce is overrpriced (I mean, it's just a scoop of marinara sauce) but it was tasty. I prefer the sweet sauce but my boyfriend dislikes sweet sauces. All in all, it was a tasty albeit unnecessary snack. read more

People are too hard on the good folks working here. They have always treated me good. I always buy their regular pretzel, with salt and that overpriced dipping "cheese" stuff. Sure, they're not authentic, more bready and less dense than most. But they come piping hot, taste fresh. They're a yummy, salty snack for on the go. No frills, no hassle. Better than Pretzelmaker. The first time I had a pretzel dog was at the Wetzels at downtown disney. But the pretzels there are way overpriced because you are in the tourist land of disney. The prices are better at the spectrum location. Preztel dogs may not be gourmet or healty but they are tasty. After a hectic morning in the office, its always nice to head on over to wetzels, grab a preztel and drink and then do some people watching. read more

I LOVE Wetzel's Pretzels. I love it. My favorite thing here is the Jalapeño bagel. I like to order myself a pizza sauce dip and a Jalapeño cheese dip and eat them both. I like to dunk my bagel first in the cheese dip, then in the pizza sauce. The portions are perfect that way, and I promise you won't run out of sauce. I really wish I had a Wetzel's in Huntington Beach too. read more

Visited last Sunday in the day. The staff was pretty much uninterested. The guy making pretzels was wearing gloves. He had a cup that he drank from and used his gloved finger to clean off some gooey crumbs his mouth had left on the cup. Then used the same glove and hand to make more pretzels. Definitely not pleased with their service. They were blasting loud music and then actually belittled me when they couldn't hear me. After inquiring about the mall employee discount, the cashier scoffed at me telling me it was for employees of the mall only (she completely failed to see my work shirt with a clearly emblazoned company logo on it.) Horrible service, cold pretzels, asked for salted and got unsalted.....and strangely, the pretzels were awful! They tasted like plastic.
