I came here because I had a coupon for a free pretzel and was already at the outlets to shop. There were a couple people in front of me in line but it moved quickly. It seemed relatively clean inside so that was fine. The pretzel I got was extremely buttery/oily and seemed drier on the inside than the pretzel I got at the Stoneridge location recently. The thing that made me the most concerned however, was the person who helped me seemed to have come back from a break or something while I was in line. Perhaps he just washed his hands before returning to work, but all I know is I saw him enter from outside of the store, walk behind the counter and start serving people without washing his hands. Wetzel's Pretzels has opened stores in almost all the shopping malls or outlet malls. They have 2 or 3 locations in the San Francisco Premium Outlets alone. I waited in line before Watzek's Pretzels simply to buy a pretzel and a drink. Yes! They have a line in front of the store on most weekends. The store looks clean, and the workers are working as fast as they can. But it is too many customers. Man, I think there are a ton of these surrounding the SF Premium Outlets! I had a bad experience at the one located somewhere in Concord so I thought I'd give it a try here. Much better, I have to say because they at least had everything I wanted. It was a slow day, so there wasn't a crowd. Needless to say, the service was fast! I got the dog bites with a side of cheese and a frozen lemonade. Dog bites were meh, but kinda for elevated when dipped with the cheese. Today I went to Wetzel's after downloading their new app, you get a free original or sinful cinnamon pretzel as a welcome reward! I used to get it at this mall quite often when they had the stand outside the YSL and true religion store. This I got from the spot near saks off fifth and Nike outlet! I was able to order it ahead on the app which I was glad I did since it had a fairly long line that I was able to skip by picking up my order! It was totally free and I like that you can earn points on the app when you regularly order. I went for the original pretzel since I had just got some ice cream. The original is way better then I remember it being in the past years ago when I would order it. It was super soft and buttery which really made all the difference! The salt on it was nice too but maybe a lil bit much so I dusted some off of it. Normally I get the pepperoni or the pepperoni and jalapeño pretzel so it was nice to try something different! Good location. When I went to order, someone was returning some of the cinnamon pretzels because he said they tasted burnt. I wanted to order the cinnamon pretzels also, so I asked if they could please make sure mine weren't burnt too. The cashier said "You can have what's there (gesturing towards the display case.) On 10/20 I went into the Wetzel's located at the SF outlets in Livermore, Ca to but some cinnamon bites and was charged for those and the order of the person in front of me. My wife and I walked into the location and there was another person in front of us. We remember this person paid in cash. After this person got their item and left we walked up to make our order. The cashier gave me a total and and I entered my card into the reader to complete the purchase. The cashier came back with my cinnamon bites and asked me to enter my card into the reader a second time. She mentioned that the first transaction was not charged to my card since a receipt did not print. I hesitantly entered my card into the reader a second time. Before I left I checked my credit card transaction history and noticed there were 2 new charges on my credit card from that location. I brought this up to the cashier and she said the first transaction would go away and will only show as processing. I asked for her name and the name of the store manager incase the transaction did not dissapear from my statement. She wrote down Leonor on a piece of paper and identified herself as the manger. It's been 3 days since this happened and the both transactions are still on my credit card. I've tried calling multiple times, but the phone continues to give me a busy tone. I've also reached out to Wetzel's corporate through and email and the contact form on their website. It is located opposite the Columbia Sportswear Company store, and there is a kiosk available elsewhere at the mall. Good place to grab a snack in between shopping. I selected a Cinnamon Sugar pretzel. It tasted fine overall, but it was a bit hard. Pretzel may have been sitting under the warmer a tad too long.
