    Insanely over priced

The man working was extremely rude and ignored me when I asked how much the lemonade was. I was so confused by the prices, when I asked for a receipt he acted like he couldn't understand me. Horrible service, ridiculous prices! $7+ for a lemonade.

Owned by Good King Wetzelslas, who apparently likes his pretzels, which is why he's "good" at breaking his belt buckles and pants buttons, and shops in all the "king" sized stores. Maybe he should go back to the old world, to his home land, go back from Wetz he came, and figure out how to lose the wetz he's gained in America, because Europeans are often skinny AF. And how are you gonna roll up into a pretzel position for the cameras if you're shaped like a pretzel? Cute little pretzel store inside the massive mall at Plano, which is a town that does not have ANY theatres for performing arts, hence the name: Play? No. But the main problem is that having been to the amazing Amish pretzel stands in Philadelphia and Marlboro MD, it's hard for me to ever get something from one of these places and compare it even remotely favourably to any other type of pretzel - but Barbie enjoyed it and that's the main thing. Oh wait no she didn't love this pretzel. She loves the pretzel position. My bad. (girl)

$15 combo RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED and prices are not posted on menu

Shame on this business for not being transparent. There are no prices listed on their menu. And since most people would never suspect a pretzel to cost $8 and a lemonade to be $6, they might order and be surprised at the register. They also might be shocked that a marinara dipping sauce will be automatically thrown in the bag for an additional $1.60. So I'm leaving a review to warn those that may not be aware. Hopefully this will help some parents who have brought their children to the mall to play at the indoor park. Tip: Stop at the Sonic nearby on your way over and get a drink, slush, or lemonade at a quarter of the price. And they have delicious pretzels with a dipping sauce included for $1.79

I got the mini dogs- they were okay but I think m are a bit overpriced I think for what it is! $6.50 for a small cup of "pigs in a blanket". I would pass this and go to the food court next time. I was starving.. and being my 1st time visiting Willow Bend Mall---I didn't realize the food court was just a couple of steps away, otherwise I would have just gone to the food court to get food instead- you get more food for your money and more selections and the food looked a lot better too at the food court.

This place was surprisingly much better than Auntie Anne's. The pretzels are huge and much more flavorful.

I'm actually very glad we came here instead of the other places we had planned on going for lunch. When we went, it was not crowded and we got seated quickly. This place is fairly big, with plenty of tables and space. They also have a dedicated "beer garden" on one side of the restaurant. For food, i had to get jager schnitzel with spaetzle. My wife ended up getting duck. Before my food came out, they also brought out a salad. I don't know if it was part of the jager schnitzel entree or the duck... But the salad was amazing. Everything was pickled and very intense flavor. Both entrees were great and i also like the fact that they have a kid's menu that serves german food. (I was afraid the kids menu would have simple items like burger and or chicken tenders, but that's not the case here.) the lunch portions were perfectly sized.... granted its not "texas sized" but it did its job and i left satisfied. What i really like about the place is the interior decor. It looks like the owners brought back so many trinkets, souvenirs and photos from their trips to Germany and it makes it feel more authentic. This was actually one of the saving grace from waiting to get our food, i tried to look around to see all the different things on displayed. Service was great. I'll definitely be back!

I give no complaint to the food and the ambience, as I have always eaten well and enjoyed the jaunty, light-hearted ambience that this restaurant has provided for decades. My wife and I decided to take our kids out tonight to try German food. The service tonight was abysmal. We waited for twenty minutes for our waiter. When someone finally arrived, he was rather abrupt and rude. Tables around us who were seated immediately received bread before us. Our pickled vegetable side and a beer was brought out promptly, but this would be the only part of our order we received. We waited for over an hour without being checked in on one time. Once! The waiter appeared from the kitchen a couple of times clearly eating something and then disappeared for almost half an hour. When he finally reappeared I asked for more bread, as the kids were getting antsy. He did not verbally respond to this, but walked off and returned with a basket which he more or less tossed on the table, making an obvious effort to avoid eye contact with me. After an hour and fifteen, someone else came by and asked if we were okay. We responded that we were just waiting for our food. This person, too, disappeared without a response. At an hour and a half--kids hungry and depleted of whatever patience they had--we left. This makes a bitter end to what has otherwise been a joyful patronage to a local legend.

The pasta that came with the schnitzel and the mushroom sauce lacked flavor. The French fries with the sandwich didn't seem very fresh either. The ambiance seemed on point for this type of place. I'm not sure how old this place is, but it seems well lived in and kinda dated, but this is reflective of what I think is the old world charm. The food was okay. Grilled sausage was exactly that. The cabbage had caraway seeds so be mindful of that. The potato salad was pretty much left on the plate. It didn't seem worth the calories. I would rather of had plain over what that was. It wasn't bad, just not to my wife or my own liking. I would be back to try something else maybe. Nothing was bad here, but also nothing was special to draw a craving from me. We will have to be hungry and in the area not wanting other offerings nearby for us to give it another try. Maybe for a beer or something. They had an extensive imported selection.

The restaurant itself has a real cool hip vibe, definitely up my alley. I ordered myself the beer cheese-steak (with fries) and a blue sapphire cocktail - these. were. AMAZING! They even have a "micro brewers menu" aka kids menu, my son chose the mini smashburgers with chips. He loved it so much, there was nothing left on his plate at the end. They have a bunch of board games available to use while dining so my son and I grabbed a Jurassic Park matching game, this was a super fun activity to do together while munching away. We had a wonderful time here and will surely be back soon. :)

The decor and theme are inspired by New Orleans/Creole/Cajun vibes, and it's beautifully put together. The layout of the location is a slight "L" shape, so seating can be a bit limited during busy times. It's a seat-yourself setup, and they provide QR codes at the tables for you to place your order and pay when you're ready. Now, onto the food and service. Unfortunately, the wait for both food and drinks were longer than expected, even as the rush began to die down. Our pretzel appetizer didn't arrive until near the end of our meal, and sadly, it was overcooked. Drinks The beer was great and a definite highlight of the experience. Here's what we ordered: Appetizers Giant Pub Pretzel ($13.99): A 12.05 oz pretzel served with signature beer cheese and beer mustard. Unfortunately, this dish was a disappointment. Despite being called "Giant," the pretzel was thin, and was a bit overcooked. While we enjoyed the beer cheese, the beer mustard could have stayed in the kitchen. Loaded Broccoli ($8.99): Steamed broccoli seasoned with Cajun spices, topped with melted cheese and your choice of chicken, beef, or pulled pork. I chose chicken, which was delicious and well-seasoned. However, the cheese was a huge letdown, it had an odd, roux-like texture and flavor that nearly made the dish inedible. Entrée Voo-Dill Pickle Pizza ($12.99): Made with roasted garlic pesto, fresh mozzarella, thick-cut pickles, and a special Voo-Dill seasoning. While the concept was intriguing, the execution fell short. The pizza crust was undercooked, and the pickles seemed like they were added at the very end instead of being baked with the pizza. The garlic pesto was the highlight of this dish. Desserts -King Cake Slice ($3.XX): Clearly store-bought and not made in-house. It also took a while to reach our table, which was odd considering it's pre-packaged. The kitchen area even had the King Cake box visible. Beignets ($7.99): Over-fried and served with icing that was overly lemony, which overpowered the dish. Side Order Jalapeño Slaw ($2.99): The star of the meal! It had the perfect balance of mayo and vinegar, with a fresh kick from the jalapeños and Cajun spices. I wish I had ordered more! I think this place has a lot of potential. The concept is fantastic, but the kitchen needs improvement. I do plan to return and give it another try because the space and the idea are great. Hopefully, next time the food lives up to the vision!

We ordered the Boss Hog flatbread, chips and queso, and two margaritas the Skinny Bear on the rocks and the Caddy frozen margarita. We definitely enjoyed the happy hour discounts, which made the visit even better. We started with our drinks, and both margaritas were mixed very well. The Skinny Bear did seem a little stronger, but both had great flavor and were easy to enjoy. For appetizers, we ordered the chips and queso. The chips were thin, crispy, and had a nice dash of seasoning on them, but we do wish they had been served hot. The queso was warm, but not piping hot, and the texture was a little gritty, almost powder-like. We were expecting a creamier cheese, so it was good, but not our favorite part of the meal. Now, the star of the show was definitely the Boss Hog flatbread. It was cooked to perfection, baked really well, and had that nice crispy texture. The toppings were generous, and every bite had great flavor. I would absolutely order it again. The ambiance was also amazing. We loved being able to see the brewery, and the dim lighting set a cool, relaxed tone. The employees were nice, friendly, and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. I would definitely come back to try more menu items, and I recommend Union Bear for a cute date night, happy hour, or a laid back evening with good drinks and food.

The cornbread was very moist and delicious with a little kick from the jalapeño. The burger was also very tender. My kids really enjoyed the Milwaukee pretzels because of how soft it was.
