Well, what can I say. If I could give it no stars I would. Didn't think the area it is in was that bad but boy, was I mistaken. First walked in and a line of 7 people with one person taking orders. Took longer than normal to get my food and when I did, they didn't come around like they usually do with napkins, ketchup, etc. Not sure what was worse...employees in the dining area just sitting around playing on their phones or the loud homeless people allowed to wander around shuffling their feet yelling things, not eat and charge their phones. Just picked up my food through the drive thru to find a cold taquito and hashbrowns. While ordering, I was never once told a total, just told to pull up to the window. When I got to the window, about 15 minutes after I actually ordered, the lady working the window proceeded to scratch her armpit, hand to skin, then hand me my bag of food. Never asked if I needed condiments or anything for my coffee. The armpit thing really grossed me out but if I asked for new food it would take another 10 minutes. read more

If you have a known problem at a restaurant and choose not to fix it, then something is wrong. Way too often I'm working hard until late in the night and really "need" to grab something quick and unhealthy, and Whataburger is on my way home. I consider myself lucky when, like last time, i can make it through the drive through in 20 minutes. I've waited as long as 50 minutes before. Despite the unbearable wait times, the food hits the spot when dinner was 7 hours ago and you've "earned it". The food is OK, actually. I found the sandwich bun too bready and dense, but that can be good under certain (drunk or hungover) circumstances. Sandwich innards were fine. The sandwich itself was ~50% too big, but that's a point of company pride and, hey - Texas. Fries were fine, but could be crispier outside. You get the picture - definitely OK. What I dig is the institution, the open-24-hrs, and that people just know to call it 'waterburger'. Whataburger is dependable. You know what to expect in the food. However, this location has the friendliest, most courteous staff I've seen anywhere in any type of business. I stopped by for lunch on a business trip yesterday and they were so welcoming that I stopped in for breakfast this morning just to see if I had just happened to get a friendly shift....lo and behold, the crew on duty this morning was just as exceptional. Either more employees need to be working the rush hour morning shift or the orders need to be right the first time. What's the point of two lines if it doesn't make it any easier in the employees. I was salivating my entire week in Dallas every single time we passed a Whataburger. My virginity was busted by this chain in Phoenix, and I have desired one ever since. Their concept is really simple: serve a good burger. I had two kinds: green chili and regular. I preferred the regular burger. The bun is soft, and everything was so fresh and tasty. Wataburger is one of my fav fast food restaurants and I've been to this location a few times knowing every single time I go whether they have a long lone in drive thru or not there will ALWAYS be a wait and I consider myself a patient person so I don't mind I've never had horrible service or bad tasting meals like others say but then today ...I place my order in drive thru they take my payment then ask me to pull up for my order taking my name and all about 20 minutes pass then the cashier comes to give my order verifying my name I tell her no that's not me turns out it's the car behind me they get my receipt from me go back inside after another 20-25 minutes pass still...nothing (mind you cars behind me all getting their orders) and by this time I'm extremely upset/pissed off I go inside to complain the manager that assisted me to be honest could give 2 shits about the customer tells me they're making my meals "with fresh meat" (like wyf does that even mean) at this point I'm beyond pissed off I don't even want my food I just want my money back as I'm getting my refund I heard/saw the kid in the back barely starting on my order to who the manager says no we don't need it anymore what in the actual F*UCK!! read more

This Whataburger is the best one i have been to in the DFW/Metroplex area. The staff is always so nice and welcoming and the food is always hot and delicious! Gross!! This place gets one star because of the horrific bathroom experience. So nasty. I've used many cleaner gas station bathrooms. Don't want to eat here after seeing that. And the smell! I wouldn't normally write a review for Whataburger but this one made me so mad! One night in the drive through I ordered a patty melt combo, no cheese with an extra drink to take home. Of course like all Whataburgers there was a line and it was taking forever. When I finally got to the window (only one window was open) the cashier reviewed my order "patty melt, etc etc". I reminded him I wanted no cheese. He hesitated & said yeah yeah, got it. *Side Eye* So he hands me my bag and drinks and I pull away.
