I recently visited Whataburger, and overall, it was a great experience. The people who work here are really cool and genuinely funny, which made the visit enjoyable. The food was pretty good, and the restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained. The only issue I had was that every time I asked for the birthday cake shake I paid for, they kept forgetting to bring it out. However, they eventually got it to me, so all was well in the end. Bacon cheeseburger...you can't go wrong with that, right? WRONG - not a fan of theirs that's for sure. Burger wasn't flavorful or juicy and the bacon was just a flat, soggy piece of meat. Would not have mattered as the entire thing was at room temperature. The dog was not even warm and neither was the chili. This has got to be against health codes as they are not holding food at the proper temperature. I will be reporting them to the health department. My husband did not finish his burger and said it tasted funny. I requested that the food not be served in the to go bag and they said that's the way it comes. This is dumb. And of course the wrapping on my chili dog took off all the mustard off the top. Poor food quality and prissy policies at high prices has us finished.

After I got my drink I came back to the front counter and she had just laid the sandwich at the front without giving me notice that it was ready. If somebody else had come in they could have grabbed it. I was working on a writing project on my computer, but the atmosphere at the restaurant made this a considerable challenge. Loud R&B/rap music was playing during my time there, and some of it was laced with f-bombs and the n-word. I'm all for having (there goes another n-word on the in-house stereo system) music while working, but the volume needed to be cut in half at least and the profanity needs to be cut out completely before more customers complain. As for the disinterested young lady who doesn't appear to be enjoying her job, you better act like you care and turn the music down a little or you won't have a job in the near future.

Otherwise I hope to get a hotdog on my next visit and go with my family in person.
