New building folks. North beach, Richland Hills. Needed a biscuit that means business. Few eateries can come close to Whataburgers biscuits. Matter of fact, few places can touch their whole menus. Good mernin' peeps. How you durrin'? Hope life is treating you to hugs, giggles and smiles. If not, consider yourself hugged. Now about dem biscuits. WOW!!. First off, this place is clean. I was drive-thru this time, but when you look in, you can see the kitchen. Spotless. Service was fast, super nice people. The food is snackadocious. The smell of rich coffee was oh so soothing. Whabbies ( you can borrow my Whataburger nickname, just bring it back) coffee is a vacation in a cup. Honestly. It's a trip to a hammock under a tree in Columbia. Don't drive and drink it. Pull over, close those eyes, savor each sip. Oh, and they have french vanilla creamer. Get two, no sugar. Boyohboyohboyohboy! The hash brown sticks, crispy, golden, never greasy. 2 is plenty but they give you 4, so share. You'll need to.save room for the sausage eggs n' chee biscuit. It's sausage to the edge of the biscuit all the way around, egg the same. It's a belly buster. I start by cutting mine in half just in case half is enough. I'm 190 pounds, but this isn't the last supper, so I set a pace. Check my pics. Yep. I'm a fan. They had those cups for the discerning patron of this fine dining establishment. I copped a three. They have some sturdy lids. $2 each. Whatadeal. Anywho. Enjoy the respite from the heat this glorious Texas rain is bringing. Hug your loved ones. Donate a few bucks to charity of your choosing. Prayers for those lost to the floods make you feel better, but a few bucks will help that community recover food and shelter. Give it some thought, not a preachy guy. So take care. Like most Whataburger,(not all of them) parking sucks, they make their dine in customers walk further across the parking lot. They are focused on the customers stopping for pick up and the drive-through. Even the handicapped are forced to park out front of the building. This is the reason for the 4 stars! I'd never had Whataburger before, so after some drinks we had a late night munchie food run. It was around 1-2am. The lady taking our order in the drive thru was really nice and funny since some of us were from out of town, so she made a few suggestions. I got the new Hatch Green Chile Bacon burger with a side of onion rings. I was not expecting the burger to be colossal - it certainly didn't look that way in the menu picture. That big boi was a triple patty and it was made to order. I couldn't really taste the chile honestly. It had a good amount of bacon however. But overall it was just a very meaty and hearty burger. I definitely couldn't finish it all. (I ended up finishing later the next day when I drank some more lol) Unfortunately the onion rings weren't fresh. Not hot or crispy. I did enjoy that they had spicy ketchup as a condiment. Not bad for my first experience, but I would def get something else next time. I can't remember the last time I gave a one star review. I'm from California and I already knew what I would be trying in Texas. Unfortunately this is was everything I expected. In-n-out actually doesn't compare! I even think shake shack is better. If I could describe this place I'd say it's like a McDonald's to be honest! This location should stay closed. I used to work with a guy who was a manager here, and he said the place always had sewage leaks. Now I know they are closed due to "repairs" and They did this 2 years ago also. The real question is are they really fixing stuff or just making it look like they are. Needed a quick bite while traveling through. Never heard of this place so decided to give it a try. The online menu had a gorgeous picture of a salad which is what drew me in but it ended up being a pretty typical fast food joint. You know, the kind where the burgers look totally slapped together and then stomped on before they give it to you. For years I would grab 4 Krystals from the location next to this Whataburger. I did not want BBQ, so I high-tailed it out of there (car still parked in Dickey's lot) to grab a burger from Whataburger. Now this should come as no surprise, but for about the same price as 4 "sliders" I purchased one Whataburger and enjoyed it greatly. I know these two products can't really be compared, but my Whataburger was fresh, hot, juicy and nicely appointed and I like that. Whataburger always hits the spot. I ordered the avocado burger with onion rings and I was very pleased with what I ordered to go. It was my first time ordering the avocado burger and it isn't anything special but I would definitely come back to order it again. The onion rings goes well with honey mustard in my opinion.
