3/14/26- So we decided to stop in and use some of our accumulated pointed for lunch. The girl on the register apparently didn't know how to ring up the sale so she suddenly decided to help someone other than us. The guy that came over to help immediately walked away to take something to a table in the dining room. No sense of urgency whatsoever. Food was cold already when it was delivered to our table. The young man that waited on us refused to take the tray back and said "No, you can just keep it. We were seated at a to person table because everything was dirty or already in use. WTH?!?! Once again, NEVER saw a manager until the last couple minutes we were eating and she sat down in the lobby to interview a gentleman who had been sitting and eating since before we arrived. Again, no sense of urgency on her part either to make the interviewee and possible future employee to feel at ease. Even in the past on the misses the food was edible, but not tonight. My wife got it through the drive thru. The fries looked like they were dipped in hot and cold grease to cook and tasted like a bag of salt was poured on them. The burger Pattie tasted like it was marinated in salt. I downloaded this app just to write this review. I went a few months back and was ignored in the lobby for 10 minutes while 3 or more employees chatted nearby. So I left. Then, this was on our way home last night and family member wanted to go to there for a special meal. Waited 10 plus minutes to get food from drive thru. Ordered a kids meal, the chicken was hard and cold...AND they forgot the fries and drink, so I paid for a pre packed cookie and hard cold chicken strips. I just had such an awful experience. My food was all Wrong, I called for a refund and was woken to in a horrible manner & was told I was unacceptable! Went here about two weeks ago and it's the worst. The employee could not figure out how a coupon worked that my kid got as an award from school. We worked around the issue and made an order. Despite this she said it still did not work and refused to change the order to remove the "work around" she suggested. Figured it wasn't worth the hassle so we took the food and left. The chicken sandwich I got was cold, stringy and did not appear it had been thoroughly cooked. My kids burger patty was folded in half and had all the toppings despite the receipt showing it being a "dry" burger. My wifes sandwich was missing the entire chicken patty but had all the other condiments, though this likely saved her from an uncooked chicken patty too. I left a message for the manager to call but here we are a week later with no contact and a terrible experience that could have easily included food poisoning. I had a really disappointing customer service experience at Whataburger today. I pulled into the drive through and there was only one car ahead of us at the window. While waiting, I could clearly see multiple staff sitting inside the kitchen area, yet when we reached the speaker, no one answered for over two minutes. No greeting. No acknowledgment. Nothing. This wasn't during a rush. This wasn't a long line. It was literally one car ahead and several employees inside. What made it more frustrating is that we were actively speaking into the microphone and still got zero response. At that point, we decided to leave and went across the street to Chick-fil-A where we were immediately greeted and helped by multiple team members, including staff outside taking orders. I understand everyone has off days, but basic drive through service matters. Customers shouldn't be left sitting without acknowledgment, especially when staffing is clearly available. A simple "we'll be right with you" goes a long way. I hope management addresses this because experiences like this are exactly why people choose other restaurants. read more

Good news: the food is typical fast food but it's delicious! It's a maybe as for the service. We walked in and there was NO ONE there except for another customer eating. We waited and waited and waited for someone to come out but still no one. Two more sets of customers came in and left after waiting at least 5 minutes without seeing a soul. There was a girl at the drive thru window but she had headphones on and couldn't hear us. We finally yelled loud enough for her to hear us and she yelled for someone in the back to come out. Ordered a honey barbecue chicken sandwich around 8pm on Sunday night and it wasn't even warm when I went to take a bite and it also had hardly any sauce so it was really dry. The service was frustrating too because I ordered a large meal and received a medium meal but instead of fixing it they just gave me another medium fry instead of giving me a large fry. This location opened several month ago and first time in was today about 2PM. Haven't eaten at a Whataburger in years. Last time was in Texas many moons ago! There motto is: Since 1950, we've proudly served a bigger, better burger. This is somewhat fact. Seems to be the biggest burger of any other fast food chain I've experienced. Better? That all depends on the diner. Order at the counter & you're given a number. When your food is ready they bring it to your table. My friend ordered their green chili burger and swears by it! She lived in New Mexico & this was the most popular burger on their menu there. She got that & I got the double. My meal arrived fairly quickly and I was offered numerous sauces by the staffer that carried a tray which consisted of: fancy ketchup, spicy ketchup, picante sauce, salsa verde, buffalo, creamy pepper & honey BBQ. I just simple went with ketchup. My friends meal unfortunately took a little longer as she had some "to go" items in her order as well. They never called her number or delivered it to the table until we flagged someone down?! With that delay, they did make up for it by giving us a sample of their banana cream pie shakes after our meal. That was really yummy. Not to sweet, not over powering with the banana flavor & just a fun treat to finish our experience. Service and staff were very friendly & the store was impeccably clean. Each and every Whataburger meal is a made on request. They use 100% pure, never-frozen beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. They're open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Currently, the company has more than 890 Whataburgers across the country. They plan to build a few more locations here in the Gilbert area and around the Valley. Me and my family came here for a quick lunch stop after getting our nails done. The location was semi busy but the line moved really fast. The staff was really nice and joked around with us as we ordered. The food came out relatively quick. Everything was made accurately and seemed to be fresh. It should be noted you have to pay extra for certain sauces such as ranch. Everything tasted fresh. My burger personally had too much mustard but was still satisfying when being hungry. However, my tia (aunt) did find a hair imbedded in her cheese with her burger. The manager did not offer a refund but had asked if we wanted a cinnamon roll. We pushed for a refund where they had instead suggested a cookie. Eventually we did get a refund for her card. They did not accommodate with a dessert after we got a refund. Overall the place wasn't horrible. It seemed clean enough and you can tell it is a newer building. The only disappointment was how much they tried not to give us our money back after finding the hair. read more

We came here at 11:15 on a Saturday. It took about 5-10 minutes for them to even come to the register to take our order. It then took 30 minutes for our food to arrive at our table after I went up to ask why it was taking so long. Our food was cold other than our fries. The burger itself was just okay. The hatch peppers had no heat to them. The real killer of this burger was the bun. Sorry the picture of it has a bite taken from when I noticed the issue. The bottom bun was cake in flour, I was unable to brush it off but some would still stick to your hands. Fries - The french fries tasted just like McDonald's, not as crisp but that could be the fry cook. Nice and hot with the perfect amount of salt. Service - Friendly but we had a failure with me trying to order my burger with one patty. Maybe they do not sell it that way. The hamburger patty still covers the bun which seems to be a rarity these days, and a thicker patty than most other places. My grandsons said the chicken strips were very good. Also the fries tasted as though fresh cooking oil had been used. And each meal was approximately 10.00. Overall, I have to recommend it and will eat there again!!! I was really impressed with this new Whataburger location. The inside was super clean and the floors weren't slick with grease as many of the Whataburger locations I have visited in the past tend to be. The fries were fresh and the burger awesome as usual. I think they're going to get a lot of competition from the new Portillo's when it opens next door, but their wait times are probably going to be shorter than what you typically experience at Portillo's so they have that going for them. read more

I was in the mood for a Whataburger breakfast this morning. I went to the brand new location on market in Gilbert. It was not busy at all which was a huge plus. The location is brand new so it is immaculate as far as cleanliness is concerned I used the app to place my order. I think the app is pretty easy to use overall and actually has some pretty decent rewards. I used the curbside pickup option. I ordered the breakfast burger, hash browns and a large minute maid zero calorie lemonade. The breakfast burger was very well made and delicious. It is a huge calorie investment for first thing in the morning though lol. The hash browns were crisp and delicious. The food was overall very well prepared. I will say that I was not impressed with the curbside delivery portion of the transaction. I checked in just a little before the time I reserved, a few minutes. It took them until just about the end of the reservation window to bring me my meal. Again the store was not busy at all. I was just getting ready to go through the drive-thru and ask why they didn't bring my food out when the door opened and a young man brought my meal. He was very friendly and I was impressed with his politeness. The curbside issue actually did impact My overall score for this location. If I could give 0 stars, I would. This hash sticks were so greasy and salty that I threw them out. The honey chicken biscuit was the worst I ever had. The biscuit was hard, the honey butter was all over the wrapper, and the tiny piece of chicken tasted like old grease and was so tough you can crunch the meat. I had to throw it all away. I've been here twice since they've opened. The first time in drive thru , the second inside. Both times the staff was outstanding! Friendly and helpful. Fantastic customer service! Food was great too. Ready to try their patty melt next and maybe a dessert. The restaurant and restroom were very clean. The dinning area is very light and open. It reminded me of some restaurants in Luxembourg, which I wasn't expecting. Now for my only complaint. The drive thru is a mess! It's two lanes. If you are in the lane farthest from the building, the server must come out to your car to collect payment and also deliver your food. It slows down the process and it seems to be very unsafe having them cross traffic repeatedly to service a guest. Also, I don't think it is good for the servers to be going in and out of an AC building into the Arizona heat as much as I saw them. read more

It's been a while since I've eaten here. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. Now the but, my wife ordered the chili cheese fries. Big disappointment it was just ground up beef with no flavor and super dry. I asked why so dry and if could have a bit more but with some consistency. I was told that's how it's made. . They did give me a little more on the side me thinking it would be a little more juicy but no same thing. The funny part is that it tasted like chorizo.
