So came here for a late night craving. I ordered the chicken melt with no bun "I can't eat bread". They asked me to 're pet my order a few times. When I got home they melted the cheese,onions,peppers on the the darn plastic My chicken was bear has nothing on it. Why in hell would some.one melts the cheese on to the plastic. Yuck! Food is good only problem is if your order is right, the location on Broadway and Lindsay in Mesa gets it wrong a minimum of 40% of the time. I won't go there at all anymore, last time ordered on line to pick up on way to work, ordered bacon cheeseburger got a regular whatarippoff instead, good news is they did get the large fries right. read more

Double Whataburger was dry and fried onion rings were fried in OLD ASS oil. DO NOT order their onion rings. That being said, their onion rings have a really good batter on them. But, fried in old nasty oil is SO gross. Buyer beware. read more

First visit January 2014, 3pm. The store was clean, lots of staff moving around in the kitchen. I ordered the single patty burger with everything and a small drink. Total was $4.95. The burger was room temperature, the patty was dry and thin. What I think happens is the burger was cooked but all the condiments are cold, but the patty is so thin that it drops in temperature rapidly when they wrap it in paper. When it arrives at the table the burger is slightly warmer than room temperature. While I was eating someone in a uniform walked up to me to ask if my sandwich was okay. I had a mouthful of food at the time, which is an odd time to go interrupt someone. I wanted to ask if they could nuke my burger but by then I just wanted to leave. The sign inside says they are open 24 hours a day. I doubt I'll return, I was totally unimpressed. read more

Evidently the Honey Butter Chicken biscuit at Whataburger consists of a 3"x1" chicken STRIP and a biscuit. When I spoke with the manager here he said that's how they have always done it. The only reason this received two stars is the manager tried to make things right. Frustrated the menu doesn't explicitly state that there's a single strip in the biscuit. read more

WORST drive-thru experience, ever! Waited 1hr 15 mins. RIDICULOUS! Zero stars if I could.

Worst customer Service. We ordered through the drive-thru waited in line for over 30 minutes start to finish, after we ordered our food we waited about 15-20 minutes. Enough time for them to have made our food fresh. We ordered a spicy chicken Sand-which the patty was so old and dry. Our fries were soggy and when we called, nearly getting home as we live 45 minutes away, the manager DONALD tells me I can't get it replaced and if I want it replaced I have to drive 45 minutes back or I have to come back within 24 hrs. Who wants to drive back for a fry and sandwich. Nearly an hour fry. You shouldn't have to ask to have food made fresh. Don't go here spend your money else where. read more

For a fast food joint I find whataburger to be more appealing than the rest. What really sucks though is no matter how much you spend on a meal, when they come by with your meal and the condiments don't ask for ranch or bbq sauce because it's extra. This petty nickel and diming is a real big turnoff and that definitely deters me from eating here. This location is easy to access and has a drive-through, which I think most of them do but I figure not everyone reading these reviews have been to whataburger so here you go..... Burgers are good and whataburger likes to emphasize on the fact that there are thousand and one possibilities for making a custom burger. Whatever your bag is, they can make it. The fries are pretty decent, sometimes they're a bit more saltier than I like but they are good. The pies are yummy! And of course last but not least, my favorite is the honey barbecue chicken strip sandwich on Texas toast. Delish!!!! I don't stop at this establishment a lot, primarily because they don't have a lot of locations but when I do that chicken strip sandwich is my jam! Just a side note, is it just me or has anyone noticed that whataburger seems to hire people on the low end of the spectrum to work here. I get the whole minimum-wage thing but sometimes I really question the mental stability of the person taking my order. Not trying to be mean or unheartful (I made that word up) but sometimes I feel like someone's a sandwich short of a picnic if you know what I mean. Hats off to them though, because even though I feel their employees are somewhat questionable, mainly appearance- they have never messed up an order. I guess being the food connoisseur (aka food snob) that I am I probably have my standard set a bit too high when I walk into a fast food chain. When I need a taste of back home in Texas, I come here. I've been here regularly and never had an issue. They always give me plenty of their amazing ketchup, food is fresh, employees nice, and sweet tea is sweet! Breakfast is always tasty too. Drive thru can be slow sometimes, but I find that at every Whataburger. read more

This specific What a burger was horrible the 2xs we went there. First time was a to go order for 3 people. Once we git home, all burger were ice cold. Fries cold. Husband drove back and they replaced meal. I kid u not, all fries were still frozen. And he had to wait 20 min for the replacement. Second time, we went in to eat there. We Waited a.long tome for food. Had to ask for our drink cups. Table was dirty. People working there were goofing off and talking with friends that came in. Food was cooked that time. I'm from Texas so I'm expecting great customer service and amazing food well I got the complete opposite. It was the worst experience I've ever had. But First, I want to say my green chili burger was amazing but the fries and onion rings were cold, like refrigerator cold, my fiance asked for bacon on his burger but didn't get it, my sons happy meal um well let's just say it wasn't happy that's for sure. It was cold and sloppy put together his fries was colder then my refrigerator onion rings. 5 mins or less After ordering our food online we leave to pick it up just in case there was traffic or something to keep us from getting our fresh HOT fries and a "happy" happy meal and bacon on the burger but we didn't get nothing close to the expectation we have for whataburger. Then after seeing all that sadness going on with the food. I call them and let me tell you it was the worst and I mean THE worst customer service I've ever had in my whole life.. I told him I order from there about 20 mins ago and the food was cold amd missing bacon his response was "well that is to be expected if you order it 20 mins ago" nah these fries and rings was from yesterday morning that they had left over and needed to get rid of so they heated them up and gave them to us. I then let asked for the corporate number and he says to me "well you already have it, it's clearly on your receipt". I then hung up "cause my mouth be nasty sometimes" so I didn't cuss this man child out that was speaking to me like he had no respect or common curiosity for the customers.. so im extremely upset at this whataburger for treating a paying customer like this. I'm a huge fan of Whataburger. But today I pulled into the drive-through to get some food after I said my entire order the lady said I'm sorry can you repeat that. And then after that I sat in line for 30 minutes with only three cars in front of me. I get up to the window and the lady was very short and rude with me when I responded thank you she said nothing back and on top of that my order was incorrect and when I asked for spicy ketchup she gave me attitude. I'm not sure why they messed up in so many ways today.. but definitely pisses me off I'm a paying customer have some respect and do you ONE job properly get my order correct. read more

I have lived near this place for 3 years and never stop in and I now realize why , they don't have any food I would recommend or like.But I was looking for something new and went in and ordered with my son , salad and sandwiches. 30 dollars for the two of us is pretty expensive but what the heck I was hungry. So we have to wait for the food , 20 minutes latter they tell us they don't have the food that was ordered but they made my son's food just not mine.Then I have to wait in line again for a refund . Ordered 4 shakes. One came out and was pure liquid. Gave us another shake after waiting 30 minutes. When we asked for the two other shakes they said they brought them out to us and didn't believe us when we said we never got them so they went and looked at the security cameras. Ridiculous. One star just because of Paulena. Absolute WORST customer service I've ever recieved. Every time we go she gives us an attitude. She rushes your order, never gets the order right the first time because she's rushing it, and then doesnt repeat the order to make sure she got it right. Then today I went and all I got was two shakes and two cookies. And then when I drove to the front I showed her the whataburger app to scan my code because I'm a loyal customer. I assume the scanner wasnt working (she didn't exactly say ), because she got really frustrated out of nowhere with us wanting to scan our app and acted rushed again, wouldn't form real sentences on what the problem was? And just asks for the code at the bottom. We read the code to her very clearly and she wrote it down SUPER fast like it's a race on time, and then didnt even write it down correct. And instead of taking her time to actually listen to our code she literally muttered "fuck" and just took our cars and charged us without even scanning my app.... then at the very end to top this all off she gave us our shakes but no cookies, almost immediately closed the window on us, and when we asked for our cookies she said "they're in the bag I gave you." We exclaimed no bag. She turned around, oh look, our bag. She then hands it to us very quickly and shuts the window on us... I worked at Whataburger for 3 years. I was a shift leader for half a year there. I now go to the whataburger on Thunderbird by the 17 and I know how customer service is supposed to be conveyed here. This is someone who should NEVER have been put up front. At least put them in the back as a cook. Or fire them because either way I'm never going to that location again. I've never had someone make me feel so horrible for wanting to order food and being a loyal customer. read more

I love whataburger. I seek it since i was a child. This place was filthy and i asked a girl about the app and her respinse was "i dont know nothin about no app". Sshe apso delivered my condiments and her tray was empty so she had to get me spicy ketchup and when she returned she chucked it in My bag and said "there ya go". Rude. Stop at the Whataburger regularly but Monday the 17th was different than usual. When we arrived the cashier was waiting on a woman and two small children. After they were taken care of he left the counter and went back to the kitchen. We stood at the counter 10 or 15 minutes and although employees looked at us no one came to take our order so we left. I've literally been to so many Whataburger's all over from Az to Texas & this is by far the worst one. They got my simple order wrong and they refused to substitute spicy ketchup for regular ketchup on my burger and said they've never done that. Two stars because the food is actually good but, for a drive thru with only 3 cars and takes 10 minutes it's just ridiculous. I've been to in-n-out during there busy time and they don't even take that long and the food is cooked the same way. Good food but not worth waiting for. read more
