I was excited that Hope's Frybread offers meatless Navajo tacos. Stopped by on Christmas Eve and the staff was pretty busy with catering orders and customers dining in. Despite this, they were friendly and our food was ready quickly. I loved the hand painted mural on the wall and local artwork displayed through the restaurant. I ordered the Navajo taco with vegetarian chili beans. The delicious beans went well with the amazing Frybread (not greasy) and fresh toppings (lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and homemade salsa). The portion size was large enough to share with my husband. This is my favorite Navajo taco that I have tried so far. For dessert, I had the blue corn cookie and it was also fantastic. I love anything made with blue corn and this hit the spot. I wish I could find this delicious food where I live!

What an amazing quirky place. In addition to food there is interesting art , ghost pumpkins, clothes Service is really good and friendly The fry bread was good. It was not tough or the toppings salty. The vegetables were fresh The classic, honey and powdered sugar, seriously yum. Great place for a quick meal.

Visited Hope's Frybread recently and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The staff was genuinely welcoming and provided the kind of friendly service that makes you feel truly appreciated. The fry bread was perfectly cooked, light, flavorful, and not greasy at all. I also loved the vibe inside with the soft country music, colorful walls, and murals. You can tell they care about both the food and the customer experience. I'll definitely be back!

My brother told me about this place when I came through Mesa for a visit. Being Navajo and growing up on the reservation, I've enjoyed fry bread from my grandmother often. Having opportunities to enjoy native food is always a treat! We got the vegan Navajo taco, the frybread burger, frybread with honey and powdered sugar and an extra fry bread :) Definitely 'indulged' , it's not often I come across Navajo Food, Navajo Owned. Everything was perfect. Thankful indeed. Space is simple, decorated with native art and even has some items like magnets, postcards and more for purchase. Service was nice.

Yum! Delicious dry bread Navajo tacos. Authentic by a Navajo family. My wife said "we are sharing" so I was worried about having enough. Not to worry; it was delicious and enough food. Reasonable price. Quick service.considering it is "fry" bread, it was not a big greasy. Try it

Loved the food! I happened to stumble across this fry bread location and boy am I glad I did! I decided to try a new dish alternative to what I usually get and settled on the smashburger fry bread. It was delicious! Sweet and tangy and hearty. On the side I got the pasta salad. Another good choice! Cold pasta with cheese and crunchy bell peppers. For dessert I got the classic honey and power sugar fry bread. It was a perfect pairing for an end of the meal delicious dessert. Service was quick. The ambience was pleasant and the food was delicious, I will definitely be back!

This was a tasty lunch! I have had Hope's Frybread on my list to try for some time but I wasn't near other locations. I happen to be going to another shop in this same shopping center so I decided to try. I tried the cheeseburger frybread with macaroni salad. I got my food to go and I wanted to taste it while the bread was freshly made. It was good then and even later after being reheated. It was just like a chalupa, if you've not had frybread before. This location appears to be pretty new, it's nice and clean with brightly painted walls and very friendly staff. Glad I stopped in :)

Navajo Taco or Indian Taco? The debate is settled. LOL JK but IYKYK. Had this place saved for a while and glad we got to try it out for dinner. My husband and I shared a Navajo Taco which they were able to split for us. Very accommodating! For an appetizer, we got the chips and salsa. Salsa was good and had a nice kick of heat. The chips were okay-not home made. The frybread was light and crispy; the beans were firm and savory. The cheese, lettuce and tomatoes were fresh as well. I'd definitely come back again when craving a Navajo taco. Great to see a taste of home only 20 minutes away. The restaurant had plenty of seating options. The overall atmosphere was inviting.

Never had a fry bread before so I was excited to check this place out! We ordered their Navajo tacos with double meat and they were nice enough to split in half for us to share. At first we thought it was pretty expensive for one item but we didn't realize how decent the portion size was going to be! There was fry bread on the bottom, topped with beans, meat, and veggies. Really liked it a lot! I wish they gave us a little bit more of the veggies so it adds more of a crunch to the dish but overall it was still good! Very filling! Reminded me of a chalupa

I was craving frybread since I was visiting family in AZ , not every day this Californian can get fry bread . So, I decided to order take out from Hope's Frybread . I ordered a Navajo taco to go with a side of green chili . The fry bread was fluffy and not greasy . It was good and hit the spot. The restaurant is nice and nice to support an indigenous business.

All three of us were severely disappointed by this place. We all like frybread, but the toppings were just not good.

Out of all the restaurants I had before leaving Arizona, THIS ended up being one of the places I couldn't stop thinking about after I moved away. Ever since leaving, I've randomly craved these tacos constantly. I've tried other taco spots in Denver hoping something would compare, but honestly nothing really hit the same. So when I came back out to Phoenix recently to visit some friends, this was one of the first places I knew I needed to come back to because I had built it up so much in my head over time. And somehow... it was just as good again. The meat tastes incredibly fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned, and you can literally watch them prepare everything right in front of you, which makes the whole experience even better. There's something so satisfying about seeing the tacos being made fresh instead of food just appearing from the kitchen. You can tell they care about quality and consistency. The servers were also super friendly and welcoming both times I came here, which honestly makes such a difference. Everyone had great energy, the service was quick, and the whole place just feels inviting and authentic. I honestly think the fact that I remembered this place so vividly for so long says everything. Usually when you revisit a restaurant after hyping it up in your head for years, it ends up disappointing you. But this place tasted exactly how I remembered it, fresh, flavorful, comforting, and absolutely worth the obsession. Safe to say this place is officially a mandatory stop for me anytime I'm back in Phoenix now.
