From what I have heard Whataburger is a staple fast food chain in Texas. Due to close proximity to where we were staying in San Antonio, we had to stop by here twice in two days. They have drive thru and dine in options. Most of the items are pretty standard like all other fast food chains. But they hype and all that just didn't make sense until I had tried it. Now this is compared to California's In n Out chain. You can argue about that, but I think there is a clear cut winner. I had the Whataburger Combo the first time with fries and a drink. They sodas are huge!! Definitely bigger in Texas! The burger was honestly just ok... slightly below average in my opinion. The service during dine in was nice as you are given a number and they bring the food out to you along with condiments. The second trip was around 11pm for drive thru. It took almost 40 mins for 7-8 cars to make its way around and pick up the food. We had the Chicken and Biscuit Sandwich that's only served after 11pm from what I heard. That was a tasty option with some sweet gravy. Ask for some honey and you are set with a good meal. read more

Went through the drive-thru today at about 11:45 and ordered two double meat Whataburger jr. with cheese 1 as a meal 1 as a sandwich only and an apple pie. Received one double meat Whataburger jr. One double meat Whataburger cold fries and the apple pie and drink the bun was burnt on the double meat Whataburger. The double meat Whataburger was as dry as a bone is the bread and the meat being over-cooked. The junior was fine and again the fries were cold. I noticed before we left that they screwed up on the hamburgers and told the cashier and she says well I didn't make it. Didn't offer to correct it and didn't ask what was wrong so we left. I guess since it was a drive-thru order they didn't care if the bun was burnt nobody would notice until they got home. Don't think I'll be visiting this Whataburger again. read more

Whataburger is the best burger in Texas.... handsdown. Sonic may have better shakes... In N Out may have better fries... McDonalds may have better coffee... Chick Filet May have better chicken.... Freddie's may have better patty melts... but when it comes to burgers, nobody... nobody has better burgers... period! They have great buns. They have great meat. They have high quality condiments (I love the onions!) and they put it them all together better than anyone else!!!! read more

This Whataburger has continuously been understaffed over the years and because of that they've always taken forever on any order. Go to literally any other location and your wait time will cut by half in most cases. read more

Whataburger or In-N-Out? Read this. This is my first time trying both. I went to both places excited and with a clean heart, openly ready to accept whatever magical burger would be brought to me. Whataburger: get the triple whataburger, triple bacon, triple cheese. Strawberry shake. Ask for spicy ketchup and jalapeño ranch. In-N-Out: Get the double and ask for it animal style (secret menu) you could also get your fries animal style. Both places, the fries were OK. In-N-Our was an experience. I mean like an experience! You arrive to a giant sign with a 70s style environment. Outside seating, people talking, etc. employee uniforms were classic, amazing service, you literally feel like you are in a movie. Whataburger was essentially a McDonalds. ...however the whataburger itself was better. The sandwich. Was. Better. I said it, and the local Texans will all agree. All in all, you have to try In-N-Out at least once for the experience but WhatABurger is the go-to. read more

So basically... I used to work here and the kitchen was literally the most disorganized and unsanitary mess I have ever encountered working at 3+ Whataburger locations. Not only that, but I would be ordered by the managers to replace old labels for expired food so that it could pass food safety inspections. Salads, sauces, even the thawed chicken breasts, because the GM would rather fake sales numbers than throw away expired food? Yeah I wouldn't eat here, and I tried to avoid the food as much as I could even when I worked there. All the company cares about is money anymore. read more

Whataburger!!! And a ton of other items on the menu. Local favorite that is amazing. Every thing on the menu is a knock out. The drive thru line can take a few extra minutes at times, but overall they are outstanding. Construction will be a hassle for months (as they improve US281)but don't forget to stop in. read more

Glory! Hallelujah! They have Whataburgers in San Antonio!!! You don't understand! The one near where I live in FL closed years ago and I've NEVER recovered. You never forget a Whataburger. This spacious restaurant is open 24 hours and rightly so. Someone somewhere ALWAYS wants a Whataburger. These tasty burgers and fries are no joke (try the Spicy Ketchup). The beverage cups are ginormous. The staff is friendly and attentive and I appreciate the trays of condiments they provide when they deliver your order. The restaurants are also very clean from what I've noticed because that shows pride. Respect, Whataburger - you will always have mine. read more

WhataBurger is the best franchise burger joint there is. I remember coming to WhataBurger as a kid with my grand parents.

Today I didn't have enough cash to cover my order. Truth be told, I am college student and I don't exactly have a ton of money these days. Times have been tough. Decided to grab a burger on my way to class because I did not have enough time to cook lunch today. They were nice enough to give me my burger on the house when I told them to just cancel the order. I am so touched by this gesture. I know one burger doesn't matter to them, but to me it was the difference between eating and starving all day until I get home from classes. Everyone who lives or has ever lived in Texas absolutely knows that Whataburger ain't just any burger. It is an absolute staple! I'm guilty of indulging at least once every couple of weeks. Hehe! If it were really up to me, it would more than likely be once to twice a week! Lol! That's how good the food is! Not only is it delicious, but it is consistently delicious at every location I've visited. And this location is none the less! Perfect in taste, service, quality and accuracy. I frequent this location cause it is closest to home and I have yet to be disappointed. Wether I dine in or take advantage of their drive-thru, it is located with access to two major highways which makes it that much more convenient. It is not the employees at this whataburger location fault for why the food is cold or why the service is slow. They're severely underemployed at this location for the magnitude of customers they have flowing throughout the day. If anything, corporation is to blame. Hats off to the employees at this location for continuing to work there after the horrible treatment you have suffered. read more

I've been to a lot of Whataburgers and this is the worst I've ever seen. Ordered through the app as always. Got stuck after the rude person over the intercom just said 2nd window. Then watched as an employee jumped on a motorcycle and crashed before he could get out of the parking lot. Another employee helped him up and STILL LET HIM DRIVE. Stay away! read more

I love Whataburger it's my absolute favorite and they're usually on point but this location soaked my burger in grease couldn't even take two bites into it before feeling sick they need to take better care and more time in prep instead of throwing food out there patties where all over the place and it looked as if someone just threw it in the wrap not good at all. read more

Just plain awful. Fries were limo and cold. Burger was microwaved and had a slimy texture to it. I call it the "what the f#*~% burger".

If I could give 0 stars I would. I don't like this one at all I went on a Saturday morning around 730. One thing that has always bothered me about whataburger is the fact that they call breakfast burritos "taquitos" that's incorrect for one. A taquito is fried.. and a burrito is just a flour tortilla. So that really bothers me about them. Anyways the two girls working were total b*****. They didn't want to be there u could tell. I understand it's a fast food place but still come to work with a smile so u don't go and ruin everyone's day with your shitty attitude. Wont go back to this one. This is the one Whataburger that consistently gets my order wrong. I've had missing fries from combos, had a request for pickles on a sandwich result in half of it having pickles and the other half covered in jalapenos, and more. I will admit, the jalapenos mix-up was a good laugh for my coworkers, and it tasted pretty good, but this particular location really needs to focus on order accuracy. read more

This is the worst Whataburger service I've ever experienced in my life. SUPER SLOW SERVICE. Even if I'm the only car in the drive thru line, Whataburger never fails to make me wait longer than 10 minutes in line.
