For starters if you don't drink alcohol don't bother going to this location. I was a server for many years and I tip our waitress/server well obviously if the service is good. We have been to this location several times and I have noticed that we are put on the back burner because we don't drink. The place is bigger on the inside then it is on the outside, it's a pretty big place. It's not very crowded & not very noisy so that was good. We ordered jalapeno poppers and they were very cheesy and full, they were quite delicious then I ordered the special which was a 20 oz Prime Rib for $16.95 along with Au Gratin Potatoes which I will say was very delicious. It was very slow and inefficient, plus the waitress was not knowledgeable about the menu or how the food was prepared, and to make matters worse, she was cocky. Been going to this restaurant for years. Went Saturday about 3 pm. Steak dinner does not come with a salad or potato until 4 pm yet still the same price. Had a turkey club on sour dough, very dry almost to dry to eat because the sour dough is sliced too thick, 1 small slice of turkey and about 3 slices of think ham. They sandwiches use to have a lot of meat on them and while i don't need that much if it's a turkey sandwich I should be able to taste the turkey and it should have more turkey than ham. So it's Father's Day and we ordered carryout the prime rib which they were promoting for the last two weeks. As you can see they served us a piece of meat that frankly I would not have the guts to give it to a dog. The problem is when I called to tell them what the situation was they said they're out of prime rib and she would replace it with a steak. For those of you who are meat eaters you know that there's a big difference between a steak and prime rib. I have a freezer with ribeye and New York strips I could have grilled them myself. So I said well I want the prime rib I said can you just compensate me for partial reimbursement because this is not what I actually paid for. The price for the two dinners was $50. She refused to negotiate with me she said it's all or nothing and then I angrily hung up the phone. Then I cut into my medium rare prime rib and it was well done. So I called her back and I said I'll be up there to get my money and she said no sir you were too rude you hung up on me and she refused so I didn't want to engage with her I was very irate at that point. We have had problems there before but nothing so blatantly rude. I'm writing this to hopefully save people from the same type of treatment. read more

This little dive is a nice place to go to if you live near by. They do not skimp on the portion sizes when it comes to the food. My club sandwich was so big (maybe too big) that I did not even know how to eat it so I ended up just picking at it. The crowd was an interesting blend of people and a couple patrons were kind of obnoxious. I cannot hold the crowd they attract against this place though. The wait staff was friendly and the food was good, not great,but good. The one thing that I didn't care for was the thickness of the bread on the Reuben sandwich. This burger rates right up there with the best pub burger in the area. As usual it has to do with how long the grill has been cooking burgers. It gets that deep down inside taste of a great burger. This "dive bar" rates right up there with my favorite Mason's Burger in Livonia. They have actually up-scaled the interior a little almost taking it from the dive bar category. OK so 30 minutes in just for drinks and order to be placed. The food.... One bacon cheeseburger w/fries, was OK. Half shrimp half cod dinner, terrible was given perch that was over cooked and hard. When telling waitress we was given wrong fish was told that was cod. As a cook I can guarantee it was not, did not eat anything but shrimp n a few fries. Cod is white fish and flaky. Horrible. Same goes with other fish dinner, over cooked, dried out fish. Last dish was chicken club sandwich this was probably the most appealing dish served at table. Will not return, do not recommend. We went in with a party of 7 tonight for polish dinner night. We went to go sit down at a table for 6 and asked if we could add a chair on the end. Misty our server said no it's a fire hazard, which was understandable. It took her about 10 minutes to bring us our drinks. Our drinks were all diet cokes when we ordered two regulars and one diet. It took Misty forever to come take our order and when she did she acted like we were an inconvenience to her. Our appetizers took forever to come out. Mind you we only had two cheese curds. Our food came out and was cold. A burger was ordered medium and came out RAW. We asked if the food can be heated up and she replied "let me ask my boss" it then took her forever to bring refills. The place has good bar food. If that's what you're craving, this is it. I had their pretzel burger. The bun was surprisingly softer than any pretzel bun I've had before. I did ask for it to be cooked medium and it was medium well/well. Medium rare is really what I should ask for. My bad. My husband and I shared chilli cheese fries, and I have to say their fries are excellent. He also had their super Philly and said the bun was very soft, as well as the meat. This use to be my go to resturant but tonight will be my last time . I came with 3 friends and told them how good the food was here. I suggested here above everywhere else. Never again. I order a steak and half of the steak was buried under fries when i moved the fries i realized half my steak was all, fat pure fat! None of my friends I showed could believe it. The waitress was very sweet and sincerely apologized. She told the management and they offered no solution to the problem they told her they cut their own steaks and even though it was all fat I was showing them, the management said it was probably a 12 oz instead of a 10.seiousously,wth! So even if you thought that was true I guess 2oz of pure fat is fine to serve a paying customer. It was half my steak though that was fat, not 2 oz. Seriously!and you still demanded full payment. You have lost my business and everyone that i tell to come here. did i mention we had also had ordered 3 other meals and alcohol and drinks and they still refused to right the wrong they did to me the customer.
