We went in Sunday and were surprised to see all the lights off even thigh they were supposed to be open. We called to see what was happening and Bob left his restaurant and came to open just for our kid! The crazy thing is they were broken into the day before and so glad we could buy some things and help support. He helped us choose good beginner wheels and trucks and expertly helped us cut the grip tape. He even gave my son a mini lesson to get him started before skateboard camp. The person that helped me out was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful, he was able to guide me through the inns and out of selecting a board that would not only be age appropriate but something that he could also grow into and would last long enough with quality parts "without having to buy the top of the line equipment or for that matter buying something that was crap" I settled on a thrasher board with 53 mm wheels and ABCE9 bearings along with NC Boardshop trucks and finished the underside with the Santa Cruz screaming hand and a bones dinosaur sticker. Cuz that's how I roll "get it, roll?" The shop not only carries everything you need to build a board the also sell protection gear, shoes, socks, pants, and shirts as well as sunglasses and even Christmas ornaments, " which I bought, laugh out loud" Total price for the board was $129 which honestly after doing some interweb research is a pretty good deal for a quality skateboard. She kept getting unnecessarily close to him and seemed more focused on flirting with him than actually helping us. What really made it weird was when "Don't Cha" by The Pussycat Dolls came on and she started singing along to the "don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me" part right in front of me while looking at my boyfriend. At that point I told him we were leaving because the whole interaction had gotten disrespectful and uncomfortable. I understand being friendly with customers, but there's a difference between being friendly and openly flirting with someone's boyfriend while his girlfriend is standing right there.
