I am a young, pregnant woman who came to this location on my own, helped by William and he completely took advantage of me. First of all he lied to me about applying discounts to my order of a single tire (MSRP $184.99) and a wheel alignment (internet price was $129.99). I had a $40 coupon for an alignment that he wouldn't even look at and dismissed by saying he was already applying discounts. No discounts were added to my invoice. Then when my car was finished he called me about my battery being shot and that there was severe corrosion that they needed to be cleaned when I had absolutely no issues with my battery before. I paid the $16 corrosion cleaning and then when I came to pick up my car, it was completely dead and they tried to get me to buy a new battery. Solid experience getting two new tires put on my car after I inadvertently tore up the old ones on a curb on Saturday evening. I got the car towed to Wheel Works in Walnut Creek as it was the only place open on Sunday within a five mile radius of my unfortunate mishap. I left the car parked outside but didn't leave the keys or a note, as the drop box didn't feel secure. When I called on Sunday morning, they asked me to stop by with the car keys. When I arrived, they drove the car into the shop and inflated the tires to see if they could do a simple patch up. Alas, they were damaged beyond repair. They gave me two options - inexpensive generic 40,000 mile tires ($80 each) or branded 60,000 mile tires ($176 each) designed for wet conditions. I went for the former option, but ended up getting the better ones as they didn't have them in stock! Total cost was a little under $500. Staff is friendly (they let me use the bathroom), which I appreciated. The repair took about four hours. There are coffee shops and restaurants within a ten minute walking distance so killing time wasn't a challenge. read more

Not honest business. Brought in my Honda Accord V6 today for oil change. Used the coupon that stated $29.99 for up to 5 quarts of oil. They charged me for 5.3 quarts (needed to pay extra for 0.3 qts), but car manual stated capacity of 4.5 quarts. I was never charged for extra quarts of oil at other places. It was only few dollars extra, but I was very disappointed by the dishonesty. In addition, the service time was super slow. I made an appointment and I was still waiting for nearly 2 hours. There was just one other customer in the shop waiting. While I was there, there were no others showing up for service nor picking up their vehicle. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. I came for a simple tire install and alignment, tires were delivered by Tire Rack. - it took 5+ hours - wheel balance is not good, vibrations in the steering wheel above 80mph (this car is taken on the racetrack so yes, it regularly exceeds those speeds) - tire pressures set way too high - alignment was very off. I wrote down specific instructions on the degrees I wanted toe/camber/caster to be set at and they were off by a lot when returned to me. Even dealerships I go to can nail it within 0.01 degrees of what I request while this shop was almost 0.2 degrees (20x worse) off the mark and just said "it's hard". - damage to one of my wheels Maybe this kind of shop is okay for 90% of people out there but if you actually care how your car drives, or value your time, do not go here. read more

The person who helped me was courteous, personable, and knowledgeable about what could be done. The process was paperless and easy, I left the car there and picked up when ready! I really appreciated the email updates, and the car got an inspection of some basic and important equipment and safety things while it was there, such as the brakes. The worst wasn't the door dent we got when our Honda Civic was parked by their employee in a parking spot that is just too narrow in their parking lot and denying responsibility when it was in your care, custody and control.   The worst experience of my life dealing with their lender CFNA!!  I am looking into suing Wheel Works and CFNA in a class action lawsuit due to your deceptive business practices luring customers into your 0% financing and tricking them later on by unilaterally stopping automatic monthly payments on your end after six months. It's unconsciable, dirty play, deceiving and totally unethical!! The only reason why you stop the automatic payments is hoping that the consumer doesn't notice then gets hit with late fees and interest charges.  I will continue to post negative reviews and urge others to do the same. DO NOT COME HERE ! My husband took our car here to simply fix a flat tire with a nail in it. He talked to someone and made a 7:00AM appt. Upon arrival the person he talked to advised it will take 2-4hrs since he has an 8:00 appt and also other spots, but isn't that why my husband scheduled an appt as well to be seen at the appt time ???? To top it off not to long after he left they called him back talking about "we can just patch it up" so you would think that would take less time ..... NOPE. After 4hrs passed, my husband kept calling and calling. Guess what no answer. No update. Thank god I was able to drive him after I got off work which is 30mins before they close, and get this looks like our car was already finished. So why no call for us to pick it up ? Why no update ? Why no answer when we called multiple times. My husband also said when he was in there to pay. No apology, no consideration, and when the phone rang no one answered that one either. My partner took his car to Wheel Works for an oil change, general checkup, and to check the rear brakes. We made an online appointment for 10am on Wednesday, when he arrived they didn't even know he had an appointment. They said to call them when you make an online appointment because multiple people can book the same time, which completely defeats the point of an online appointment system. They said that the appointment would take an hour and a half to 2 hours, and that they'd call him when it is ready. 2pm rolled around and there was no call, so he tried calling them twice and no one picked up. He called again at 4pm and they finally picked up. They said that the breaks are thin and that they'll need to be replaced and the car will have to stay overnight and "will be ready in the earlier half of the day" and cost $402 for everything (oil change, check up and breaks). At 2pm the next day he has still not received a call from them, so he called them and they said they are putting the wheels back on the car and it should be ready by 2:30. At 2:45 he received a call stating that they PUT THE WRONG BREAKS ON! They said they ordered that right breaks and "made sure it's the right ones this time". It'll be ready by 10am the next morning. At 11:30 the next day he gets a call that the car is ready for pickup, when we went to go pick it up they asked us for over $500 for everything. My partner said that's ridiculous and talked about the price he was given over the phone another wheel works employee (we think it was a manger) came out and raised his voice at us saying the correct price must not have come over the phone. The guy "generously" agreed to deduct the price of the oil change which still put the total a decent amount above what we were told over the phone. My partner reluctantly paid and we left the shop. When we got in the car the parking break was off while parked on a hill. We then found out THE PARKING BREAK WAS NOT WORKING. My partner went back in the shop and a mechanic demanded the keys and said he was going to take car of it. The sped the car into the garage. After about 10 minutes we handed the keys and told we were good to go. I cleared my schedule and took the time to drive 2 cars there. They did the oil change by adding almost a fill quart of oil over the amount required. I didn't get far before my car was filled with smoke and burnt oil smell. I went right back to Wheel Works. They drained some of the extra oil they put in. They never even looked at the dip stick! I'm done with this chain of stores. After spending over $2000 on a set of Michelin Power Super Sports for my vehicle, plus the road hazard warranty, you think they'd take care of me. About a month ago, I noticed a bubble on the sidewall of one of my tires, likely due to the wonderful potholes that the rain has brought. I took it to the shop and no less than three people told me that I should be fine for the lifetime of the tire since I was only halfway through the wear. One month later, and I'm stranded on the highway with a blowout with the VP of my company. After having the car towed to a shop, I'm informed that it will cost $114 to replace the tire. Apparently, their road hazard coverage prorates to wear on the tire. Fortunately, for immediate comparison, another vehicle of mine has a slow leak, but I got those tires from America's Tire. The techs there informed me that their prorated warranty is complementary with the sale of any tire, and their road hazard replaces tires for free. If they had sold me the tires and noticed the bubble, they would've replaced it immediately at no cost to me. Lastly, I'm sure WW chipped the paint off of my HRE wheels. But I have to come back because I have unlimited alignments on my car and of course my new tires will still have the road hazard warranty...through WW... read more
