I recently had a frustrating experience that I think others should be aware of. I went in to fix a flat tire, expecting a simple and affordable repair since I had just bought the car and the tires are practically new. Instead, I was told that not one--but two--tires needed replacing because they were "almost bald," which made no sense given their condition. On top of that, I was advised to get an alignment I know I don't need, and was told my brakes needed replacing--even though I had them inspected right after buying the car and was assured they were new. What should have been a straightforward $120 fix suddenly turned into a quote of over $1,000. It felt like they were trying to take advantage of the situation, assuming I wouldn't question their recommendations. If I had trusted them without thinking twice, I would've paid for unnecessary work. Be careful out there--always double-check and don't hesitate to get a second opinion. Not everyone has your best interest in mind, and some places seem more focused on commission than honest service.  -5 stars read more

The assessment of the problems with my vehicle changed 3 times from when I dropped it off to when I picked it up, each time resulting in extensive additional costs. When I pushed, suddenly the earlier problems were downgraded and the more expensive problems were presented as more pertinent. I ended up leaving and having another mechanic review the issues and they confirmed that the issues presented by the Bog O Totes staff were not AT ALL the problem. I almost spent an additional $2k unnecessarily. What that team did is borderline criminal. The Broadway Big-O tire store is a great store. They are honest which, as a woman, is appreciated. This visit turned out to be a little more then we thought it would be, because there were issues that had to be addressed, which they did not know until they checked the car. They could not have known beforehand. But they kept me informed the whole time both in person and through my phone and they are the nicest group of gentlemen you'll ever meet. Went in for oil change and tire rotation. They called me an hour and a half later saying my car was ready. When I arrived they claimed they didn't rotate the tires because they 'searched the entire car and couldn't find the wheel lock'(it was in the center consul). They had my number so they could've called, but instead just chose not to do it and marked it as complete on the paperwork. Asked if I could reschedule and was told to call back and talk to the manager later and would have to repay since I didn't purchase the tires there. Never again. read more

Hashim was very helpful in getting me the correct tires, he ordered them booked a time for me to come and also get my car and do it in record time very friendly guy very professional easy to deal with, this is after me calling several other places, not necessarily all about price. My old mechanic recently closed shop so I took my car to big O tires just to check the wheels and because the tire light sensor kept going on despite being properly inflated and they were not only able to fix that issue but also fixed a number of other problems like failing brake pads and leaking hydraulic on my mother in law's 2010 Toyota Camry. Best part is I can actually walk to and from where I live and get some exercise while I'm at it. UPDATE: I have now had all 3 of my cars including a 2012 Toyota Highlander and a 2020 Toyota Prius serviced as well and feel very comfortable returning to them in the future instead of hunting for a new mechanic or taking them to... the dealership where I would doubtless be taken for a very expensive ride! We've been to Big O Tires several times. The latest was for my son's Highlander. He needed all four tires replaced as they were getting quite bald. We wanted a good brand of tire and yet a reasonable price. Ended up buying the Toyo Open Country tires. Richard and Brian were both very kind and helpful. Jose performed a quick turnaround service even though they were busy. This week, my son's tire indicator light came on, so I brought it back in to check whether the new tires were properly inflated. Yes, they were. The mechanic next checked the spare tire, which was flat, and fixed the problem free of charge. In and out in 10 minutes. Voilà! We will be back for our next car. read more

I visited this location when I was having a problem with a sensor in my engine not working. My car was in bad shape and I was emotional because I was far from home and couldn't have a broken down car. the folks at this Big O Tires were incredibly helpful and took care of me even though I walked in on a terribly busy weekend day. They got my car fixed up and let me know what I needed to keep my car running in the future after the damage I had done to it. They were honest and to the point about the service and the price. The price was also reasonable for the work being done. At the end, my car was fixed, I made it home safely, and the car still runs now a couple of months later. I appreciated the humor, kindness, and honesty the staff brought to their work. I really can't express how much I appreciated them and their work. Wonderful place all around. read more

I needed an oil change so I did it online and requested to be waiting for it. I even called the store to confirm the price and time. The time came when I was to get my oil changed as I pulled into the parking spot I glanced at the shops bays. Huh, full. I understand a normal wait but what's the point of having a waiter appointment only to be there for awhile. I waited without be acknowledged I was there as the man was on the phone. I glanced at the waiting room and it was full of people waiting on their cars. Maybe as a prior service advisor at a dealership I expect to much but I'm just thinking if your going to have a "water system " you should have a bay for just that and a tech to do them? Even if it one car a hour, have a system. When he got off the phone he asked my name and then I told him I was a waiter and looking at the shop I asked how long before my car gets done. A hour ar best to get it in. I guess a waiter appointment is just a way to get you in the store. Needless to say I was not going to wait for a hour PLUS for my appointment. No real attempt at empathy for their failure. A true disappointment. Will I ever go back? No. read more

This review is long overdue. I've been visiting this location for at least 5-6 years. I have always had great service, most of the time it is faster than expected and I totally trust the team. My husband and I have visited this place for tire repair, oil changes, tires, you name it. I've worked a lot with Brian and Geddy. They know their stuff! They always are honest and present you with options and a practical approach. It's nice to know there is a good local shop that I can feel comfortable visiting and asking questions. read more

I would not bring my vehicle here again. I came in asking for a diagnostic on my brakes because the brake pedal was going all the way to the floor. Instead of actually diagnosing the issue, they told me I needed new front rotors and all four brake pads. I was skeptical since I had replaced them just two years ago and barely drive the car, but I trusted they had done the diagnostic I requested. I paid about $1,250 for the work. When I got the car back, the brake pedal issue was still there, if anything, it was worse. I brought it back two more times, but nothing was fixed, and eventually I started hearing a grinding noise. At that point I realized something wasn't right. My husband and I went back, and we realized they hadn't even done the work we had already paid for. After pushing the issue, the mechanic admitted there was a miscommunication from the front desk and promised to finally replace the rotors and pads, which he did at no additional cost. But then I got a call from the service rep saying the master cylinders had cracks and I needed to pay another $650. That's when I knew they were just guessing. I took the car to the dealer, where I normally go, and asked them to inspect everything. The dealer confirmed the rotors and pads had been replaced as promised, but the cylinders were perfectly fine. The real issue was the ABS system, not the rotors or cylinders. In the end, Big O Tire had me pay for unnecessary work, gave me the runaround multiple times, and still failed to properly diagnose the issue. This place wasted my money, time, and trust. Worst of all, they had me driving an unsafe car while I have two small children. Absolutely unacceptable. read more
