    The beignets!!!!
    Frank H.

Ok, this is a place that if you look at it from the outside, it will probably make you skeptical of going in. But don't let the shell fool you! They are definitely no joke. They have some of the best Cajun seafood you will ever eat. The food was so good that we bought dinner to take home with us! They are very friendly and the people that were in there were so friendly also. It was like eating around family. We had the red fish blackened and shrimp poboy s and took home the scallop special and the chicken thighs. Everything was delicious and we even bought the seasoning that our fish was cooked in. Oh, the beignets were so delicious and better than any I've had in New Orleans or anywhere else. Please put this one on your definite list because you will become a regular.

    Momma Roux's Nawlins Bread Puddingpudding

As a born and raised Louisianan, I do not say this lightly: this is hands down the best Cajun food around. I happily make the drive all the way from Destin just to eat here, and it is always worth it. Today I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, Courtney (hope I am spelling that right), and he could not have been kinder. Talking with him felt like being back home, pure Louisiana hospitality through and through. For lunch, I started with the fried mushrooms (a solid 1000/10), then ordered the fried shrimp poboy, which is also available blackened or grilled. It came fully dressed with LTM, just like it should, and let me tell you, it was incredible. Bold, authentic flavor in every bite, from the shrimp to the breading to the mushrooms. As if that was not enough, Courtney was generous enough to let me try all three desserts on the menu: banana pudding, bread pudding, and classic beignets. Every single one was fantastic, but the banana pudding stole my heart, absolute perfection. This place is worth every mile and every dollar. The bartenders today were also so kind and helpful (I hate that I did not catch their names). I left beyond satisfied and already looking forward to my next visit. If you are craving real Cajun food and true Southern hospitality, do not think twice. Go. They have outside seating as well.

    Mussels in garlic sauce

Once again Where Y at Seafood knocked it out if the park! Best mussels around. Make sure you add bread to soak up the garlic sauce.

This is my favorite spot in town. I can't come here without ordering the etouffe! We've tried so many things on the menu and everything has always been delicious. The shrimp is always perfect, as is the catch of the day, and the sausage! They're got a great selection of beers, the outdoor seating is spacious, they're got a play area, and if you're lucky, you'll get treated to some good live music. Don't miss out on where y'at!

The seafood gumbo and crab and corn soup was the highlight of our lunch here. Both were really good. This was a fun "hole in the wall" spot on our way back from a day spent at Navarre Beach. Very welcoming and friendly staff.

This is totally a dive-so it's a little grubby and rough around the edges...BUT MAN are they kicking out some delicious and under reviewed food...and it's coming from a food truck outback! We came here not expecting much if I'm being honest...but they had me after seeing a photo of their onion rings, so off we went. We walked out stuffed to the gills and still talking about the food 3 days later...here I sit write this review. Service was great-super polite and chatty. They'll tell ya anything you want to know if you're nice and they aren't slammed. We went on an off night during the off season, so it was a more chill vibe. Everything was fresh, made to order, crispy and piping hot! All of our seafood was prepared perfectly and all the sauces are made in-house. Everything was seasoned properly and full of it too! *chefs kiss* Don't expect to be waited on-it's an order at the counter and get your stuff yourself kinda spot...they will deliver the food to your table but if you need something you gotta go ask back inside or get it yourself at the side counter. Things we also ate but didn't get a picture of: Gumbo-delish Crab Chowder-super delish (2) extra baskets of onion rings-judge me!! Would come back here in a heart beat!!

First time coming here and decided to go try it based on what other yelp reviews said. Because of that I knew that you order at the counter then go sit down. I don't recall there being any signs of how/where to order and I noticed several folks come in and looking around a bit confused about what to do. Now the good stuff- the food! When we pulled in I thought hmm this is a little hole in the wall place but again, read good reviews so in we went. Husband had a half fried oyster po'boy - fiend had half shrimp po'boy- and I had the kids shrimp and fries and an order of beignets for the table. The portion sizes were very generous. I would highly suggest if you are there with someone who is getting the same po'boy you are -order the whole size for $5 more and split it- My fried shrimp were better than the way more expensive place we ate at the night before. All of our first times trying beignets....YUMMMM I'm glad I only got 6 because I would have eaten all of them if there was extra. All of the staff that we talked to were super nice. Would recommend trying if you are in the area.

The shrimp boil was done perfectly tossed in a garlic butter sauce. The corn and potatoes were done nicely with a nice crunch. Yummy! Glad we shared as there was more than enough shrimp.

I am from New Orleans this place is LEGIT! Such amazing Cajun food! Loved the atmosphere! Loved our server! She made our time so fun! We would definitely go back in a heartbeat. We had oysters, smoked tuna (YUM!), and crawfish etouffee! We also bought fresh shrimp and fresh fish to make for our family and they loved it. Highly recommend. We could've stayed for hours. What a gem!

After spending 5 years in Louisiana, I have found that almost all crawfish I have had out of the state is not good. Luckily, where Y'at is not one of them and conveniently way closer vs. Cubs. Crawfish were large, as expected mid season, and definitely has that Cajun spice/heat to it. Pricy but not the worst I've seen ($7.99/lb). Definitely better than cubs/others in the area and the rest of their menu gives that homey Cajun/creole soul food feel. Will definitely be going back!

The setting was also beautiful. We chose to sit outside overlooking the bay. While it was dark enough that we had to use our phone flashlights to see our food, we didn't mind because the skyline view was lovely and we enjoyed watching the glow-in-the-dark kayaks on the water. Unfortunately, the service was a different story. You order and tip at the counter before being served, then find your own table. Once seated, it was unclear whether food would be brought out, whether our name would be called inside, or what the process was. No one ever came outside to check on us, offer napkins, provide condiments, or ask if we needed anything. I eventually sent my 11-year-old daughter inside to ask for napkins. The restaurant was not busy, and there appeared to be plenty of staff on hand. However, it felt like everyone was focused on cleaning and closing for the night rather than taking care of the guests who were still dining. My only suggestion would be to reconsider the tipping process. Since gratuity is collected before any service is provided, it's difficult to know what level of service you're rewarding. If I returned, I would likely skip the pre-tip option and bring cash to tip afterward based on the actual experience. The food was excellent, but the lack of service left a lasting impression. Based solely on the meal, I'd absolutely return. Based on the service, I'm not sure I would.

They allowed us to place the order just one day in advance, which was incredibly convenient. We came back the next day, picked it up with no hassle, & paid at checkout. The entire process was easy, the bakery staff was kind, & everything turned out exactly as we hoped. We don't have Publix in Louisiana, & after this experience, I really wish we did. Unfortunately, the food and service experience didn't match the setting. I ordered the crab-stuffed blackened grouper with jalapeño crust, a house salad, and queso mac & cheese. Ordering was confusing from the beginning. I initially asked about having the grouper blackened and was told I couldn't, then asked for the jalapeño crust. When my food arrived, I was told they don't do that preparation on this particular dish. It didn't feel like our server knew the menu well enough to guide me through the options. The grouper itself was underwhelming and lacked seasoning. Then I found a hair on my plate. I was immediately offered a replacement, but at that point I didn't want the meal remade. I was told twice that a manager would come speak with me. Instead, the check came almost immediately, my meal was removed, and a manager never came to the table. It honestly felt like the priority was getting us checked out rather than having a manager actually address what happened. For a waterfront seafood restaurant, I expected the food to be the highlight. Instead, the atmosphere was the best part of the experience. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return for the food.
