We went for a girls night and that left a bad taste in our mouth. Food was OK, while good portions were way too big and seemed overwhelming when placed in front of you. Drink selection was good, price was ok. My oh my! Give the chef a kiss cause lawd, this biscuit was off the chain! All the fluff with the crisp and a slight crunch, yet not over done. Add in the fact the chicken was seasoned to perfection, I might've found one of the top chicken biscuits in DFW. Another bonus was the house made strawberry jam for a little extra flavor. Came here for Tuesday lunch and it wasn't busy at all. My partner and I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie (comes with a small City Boy salad) and WB Smash Burger for entrees, and the Three Cheese Mac and Crispy Brussels Sprouts for sides. The Chicken Pot Pie was interestingly tangy/sour. I can't put a finger on exactly how to describe it's flavor, but it wasn't enjoyable. The crust was a good texture. The salad that came with it was disappointing to when I ordered the City Boy salad a few years back at the original location. The cheese and apples used to be cut with finesse, but now they were chunky. The WB Smash Burger was okay, but the bottom bun was absolutely soggy. It was completely flat and falling apart. The top bun was thick and full. The Three Cheese Mac was fine, nothing special. I remember it tasting better at the Dallas location. The Crispy Brussels Sprouts is misnamed. They were absolutely drenched in the soy chile sauce, not crispy at all. We ended up taking this home for leftovers, carefully tapping excess sauce off of the brussels sprouts and it tasted better. Came here with a friend for brunch and really loved it! Eggs Benedict is my go-to at almost every brunch spot, and their take on it here was excellent. The chicken was fried perfectly and it had a great spice with the pimento cheese and the hollandaise. The biscuit was also really good. The watermelon margarita was incredible too. I have been a lover of Whistle Britches since their first opening in Dallas. I ordered Uber Eats today and learned the Dallas location is now closed. I loved them. They were always wonderful and consistent. I opted to try Plano. I ordered the Whistle Britches Sandwich and took the up-charge for the mac and cheese. I ordered my pancake breakfast & he asked what i wanted for my side, I stated potatoes. He did not tell me it was extra $$, too! He put one of our meals with all the drinks and then charged us all with extra gratuity. We were a party of 10 and that is customary, but all the extras added up. It's nice to see that this place is still great! I used to go to their previous location and was sad to hear it closed, but this location is bigger and the food's quality is just as good! I ordered the Wingman with coleslaw because I had not tried it before, and my husband got the original Whistle Britches sandwich (which is what I usually go for) and Brussels sprouts. Both were excellent, although the Brussels sprouts were a little too sweet for my personal taste, something about the sauce they toss them in. The chicken is juicy, I'm not sure if they use a pressure fryer or what but each piece was perfectly cooked. The biscuit quality has not changed--basically they're the best biscuits I've had around this area, crumbly and fluffy with just the right salt level. I can never finish a whole one but I'm planning to eat the other half today for breakfast. The honey butter is delicious, the pepper jelly is delicious. We also ordered fried green tomatoes and really my only complaint was the portion was really small for $10...but it's also not green tomato season so that's on me for ordering it. The pickled okra it comes with was delightful, and the fried green tomatoes, while very small, were clearly just freshly done out of the fryer, piping hot and perfectly seasoned. Service was excellent. Our server was efficient, kind, and came by just often enough to do a good job without being a helicopter server. She was great. The really bad part is, that one of us ordered an iced mocha which was on the menu as $4, maybe $.50 more due to the mocha flavor. We were charged $7 or $7.50.
