These guys aren't called White Knight for nothing. I was headed to visit my 89 year old Dad on a recent Friday afternoon and stopped in Lockhart for some BBQ and groceries. When I got out of my truck and closed the door I realized I locked my keys inside the truck. It was 5:15 pm and called PAL service. They informed me that they would not service Lockhart. I then searched Lockhart locksmiths and White Knight is who I found. Dustin answered and said he was in Kyle and could be to Lockhart in 20 minutes. I had a great experience with White Knight Locksmith installing keyless deadbolts in my residential home. Easy to book my service, they arrived when they said they would, they did a *perfect* job, and even went above & beyond by installing 3" screws into my door latches instead of the default 2" ones, at my request, after having already finished the job with me forgetting to ask in the beginning. There was a bit of a communication issue that made service arrive about 40 minutes later than expected, but honestly - I was just glad someone could make it. I called because I had an antique curio cabinet, and the key would no longer open the lock. The locksmith arrived promptly, and set about trying to open the cabinet. He could not. He consulted with his boss by phone. Unfortunately, no other solution was apparent. I was advised to contact someone who did restoration on antique furniture. I nodded and gulped. At this point, I was dreading hearing the trip charge...$50, $75, probably more. The gentlemen told me that because they were unable to open the lock, THERE WAS NO CHARGE. No charge! I was happily amazed. These guys are honest, and obviously value doing ethical business more than making a quick buck. But, really, no charge? They don't make companies like that anymore, Except, I guess, in rare and wonderful cases, they do. read more

Dustin came to change the locks on my new home this week. I'd scheduled a few weeks ago and they'd easily fit me in the afternoon of the day we closed on the house. Around noon Dustin called to say he would be available around 12:30, which was earlier than my scheduled 1-5p window, would I want to get started early? I happily agreed. Dustin explained any changes he was going to make (quite a few adjustments had to be made because the house is older and the locks have seen.some.stuff.) BEFORE he made them, and clearly explained all of the pricing to me. He even had different *color* options for the new deadbolt. Everything was done in around 1-1.5 hours, quick and easy. They even use Square so I didn't have to bust out my checkbook yet again and could just use my debit card. I'll certainly use White Knight Locksmith again, and can happily recommend them. I lost my key to my mailbox at my condo. This happened to my mom a few months ago and it cost her over $200. My mail is mostly bills, so it wasn't urgent, but I knew I had to take care of it soon. I just didn't have the money and didn't want to spend over $200 to be able to read junk mail and bills. I called White Knight based on a rec from AAA mailboxes (the people who installed our mailboxes at my condo) and the phone was immediately answered. He offered an appointment the next day. I agreed then realized the time wouldn't work, so he pulled over to look at the calendar and offered to send someone at 7:30 AM! Not my ideal time, but for once it was perfect for my schedule. Dustin called when he was 15 minutes out and then again when he arrived. Super nice, super helpful and super professional. And the best part... turns out my mom was seriously scammed. Dan was courteous and especially good with communication. When I called, he asked where I was and then told me that since he was driving, he would need to call me back in 10 minutes. Exactly 10 minutes later, he called and said he could come by in 30-45 minutes . Exactly 30 minutes later (I'm looking at my phone history), he was outside my door calling to make sure the house he thought was ours was right (the address numbers are very faint). We had a somewhat strange situation--our door wouldn't open because all the rain made the jamb shift suddenly--causing the lock assembly to jam. I told him how, with the shifting of our old pier and beam, that we've had to have locksmiths come (and charge upwards of $80) to move plates, just so we could lock the door. He suggested installing an industrial sized plate to account for the annual shifting. Which was awesome, because a lesser, lazier locksmith probably would have said something like, "don't you need to fix your foundation?" Yes, we do, when we can find several thousand dollars to do it. In the mean time, this was a great solution. He also explained what was happening with the lock, the different levels of security for each lock, and changed out the busted assemblies. Because it was raining, he tracked in some mud--something I had anticipated, and planned to take care of once he left. What was the best finishing touch was when he came back with paper towels in hand, knelt on the floor and wiped up the mud. As he stood up, his parting words were, "If there's any problem with it, please let me know and I'll swing by." That's what all contractors should aspire to. All and all, what he charged us for replacing the plate and assembly, plus adjusting the placement of the plates ended up costing less than what the other guys charge for just a plate adjustment. So, good all around. read more

White Knight Locksmith is truly a chivalrous experience, we were staying at a VRBO property and the keypad to the door stopped working. We could not contact the property owner, had a dog inside the cabin, and a worried 6 year old. After I initially contacted Dustin, he called back to make sure I was able to get in. We were trying to hold off, but once we couldn't get a hold of the property owner, we requested his services. When our brand new door got damaged during installation of a deadbolt, Dan made sure it got repaired back to new condition. This ended up being a process that took several weeks because the first paint company contracted to do the repair didn't do a good job and we had to start over with another one. Dan kept us on his radar, got the second painter lined up (this one restored the door to like-new condition), and followed up to make sure we were satisfied.
