Food is decent but not good enough to go back too. We ordered three different crepes and I think I would have enjoyed it more if the particulates were smaller and sautéed a bit more so they were softer. It was a busy time so maybe they were working quickly. We also got a mocha coffee and caramel machiatto which were not tasty. They both tasted exactly the same and was coffee with a bit of flavoring. On a positive note. the gals at the counter we really nice and the place is cute. read more

Excellent!! Wow, first off, great location. Came to poway for the farmer's market. Too early for the delicious food they sell. So decided to try a crepe. It is huge! The flavor is crazy good. I got the classic but instead of grilled onions, I asked for mushrooms. This can feed 2-3 people. The ladies working were very nice. Good atmosphere. Relaxed, calm, casual. I'm definitely coming to try other crepes, especially a dessert one. 1 more reason to come to the farmer's market. This will be my first stop. read more

Came in 4 the 1st time last weekend. It's a quaint shop nestled right in the middle of the Old Poway Village. It's a busy spot, but the people r very friendly & the service is pretty fast. We chose 2 eat outside. Space is quite limited outdoors & the tables r super tiny. I got the Popey Crepe which was OK. ($10) It had spinach, cheese, tomato, and a splash of vinegar. The biggest drawback that I noticed was the crepe had no flavor at all and it was see thru thin. As expected of any crepe place, it was pricey. I would definitely recommend giving it a try tho. Wholly Crepe is just starting out by introducing their fresh, made to order crepes in local San Diego farmers markets. Check them out at one of their four locations weekly! Usually in north county and based out of San Marcos I was lucky enough to catch them at the City Heights farmers market on a Saturday morning. Wholly Crepe uses localy grown produce to make these savory crepes. I tried the chicken, bacon and avocado.... yummy! The crepe is made with buckwheat flour and when it was fully loaded with all the ingredients it was topped off with chipotle sauce. It was huge and had to be cut in half to be plated. My sister and I shared this and it was more than enough food for the both of us! :) Thank you so much for such a yummy crepe! Next time I'll make room for a sweet crepe too! read more

We didn't have too high of expectations going to Wholly Crepe but unfortunately our experience wasn't that great for our first time. It took about 45 minutes to get our order of three crepes. I asked earlier on how long we should expect to take and we were told 10 minutes. 30+ minutes later we got our order. Apparently they had ran out of bacon. That's called "you had one job", and that's to make sure you have enough food prepped to keep the orders going. We were served our sweet crepe before our savory crepes so that was a little backwards for us too. Overall the crepes were decent but between the grilled onions and bacon it was a little bit more greasy than what we'd prefer. There was a guy that shared our table and after he was done he said he'd been there at least 10 times and never had to wait that long. I guess it was just one of those times when we were starving and things fell apart. It happens, but hopefully it won't for your visit. It was Saturday so we enjoyed walking through the Poway Farmer's Market afterwards. read more

This area of Poway is so nice, and often so overlooked. I used to come to some kind of gardening store here in the same area, in fact it might have been in the actual location of Wholly Crepe. If so, I like the crepes better than yard stuff so it's a good switch for me. The inside is small and kind of cozy, in a casual way. You look at a printed menu on the wall, decide what you want and then order at the counter. We got a classic crepe and a dessert crepe with banana and caramel and chocolate, among other things. The kids waiting on us looked all of about 10 years old but they were pleasant and they knew their stuff. The young man recognized my lunch partner, as she taught music in the area for a very long time. They had a nice catch-up chat and then we sat down for not too long a time until our crepes were delivered by a young girl. They were the only two I saw in the store, though I didn't take time to see if there were hidden corners of the kitchen area. Both crepes themselves were good. They weren't exactly spongy but, rather, closer to an almost crispy texture. I definitely would not call them the best tasting crepes I've ever tasted but they were certainly tasty enough. Filling in both the crepes was excellent. In the classic savory one, I loved the taste of the avocado mixed with the cheese. I couldn't really taste much of any sauce inside but the ingredients themselves were good enough that you didn't need a heavy sauce taste. The dessert crepe was the best. It was that kind of dish where you'd eat a bite and then get to scrape up all the chocolate sauce and caramel that fell out onto your plate. If it hadn't been about 200 degrees outside, we would've loved to eat on one of the little cafe tables right outside the restaurant. So, best things about this restaurant were the cute kids behind the counter, the fillings in the crepes, the variety of crepes to choose from, and the nice ambiance of those outside tables. Also, I thought the cost was reasonable. All of this makes it worth your time to try out Wholly Crepe, while you get the bonus of exploring a very quaint and fun part of Poway. read more

The crepes are okay, nothing special. It similar to any regular crepes cafe. Crepe size is decent and the price is good too. The server is accommodating. The ambience is dead. Small hole-in-the-wall place in Old Poway. The owner seems to always be there and is friendly and makes great crepes. The vegetarian one is my favorite and hits the spot every single time. My husband discovered this place first. Small business and the cutest grandma and grandpa running the kitchen. Tucked on the back side of Old Poway park, it's housed in one of those shops that looks like it could be from the midwest (across the street from the hamburger factory area). Plenty of parking.. we returned as a family on one of the Poway Farmer's Market weekends. The grandma and grandpa remembered the family which was sweet. Small and humble.. they serve good food from their simple kitchen. Pretty broad menu for what they serve and the crepes are spongy and delicious. Prices are fair.. a little higher probably due to small business status.. but because the service is ever so pleasant and the food is tasty and fresh.. it makes the overall experience palatable. My boys absolutely loved the chicken crepe.. scarfed down every bite. Hubbie opted for the rye pastrami sandwich and it was on par to something you'd find in the Fairfax district in LA. Yummy fresh, bread, an awesome mustard and thick pastrami.. served simple like it was from an auntie's kitchen with a side of Lay's potato chips. They also have fresh squeezed orange juice! Ooh and their coffee/ espresso options are delicious. All in all, it was a yummy and cute hideaway. It would be pleasant to escape here with a book and enjoy the park. I stumbled upon this place while I was in the Poway area, and I was glad to have come by this cute little neighborhood! This cafe is located in Old Poway, and the outside has a rustic feel that makes the area look somewhat historical. The store is very small, and it's a mom-and-pop crepe shop that seems to be a favorite amongst the neighborhood. I decided on the savory, classic crepe with ham and egg, and asked for additional mushrooms instead of cheese. The service was pretty quick and the portions were ok. The crepe was nice and crispy and the egg and ham were a great addition. The mushrooms, however, were a little too raw for my taste. I would give this place a 3.5/4 for the food, but for the ambiance and very generous staff, I am rounding it to a 4. The prices are ok, and theres ample seating and parking. read more

Legit place to get your crepe fix. Love how the crepe is thin, crispy and made fresh. Ingredients were fresh (ordered the vegetarian - no dressing and easy cheese). The fixings meshed so well together that you can devour your dish within minutes. Also my new fave spot to get a chai latte - coz they let you have it dirty (i.e. with a shot of espresso). Who doesn't like it dirty in the morning... or anytime of the day, I guess? Wish they were open for dinner or later in the afternoon. Love the homey feel, too. The food is fantastic. I've been here three times now and each crepe has been AMAZING. The best part is that I am gluten free and they have a a wonderful gluten free crepe!! The four stars is because the atmosphere is lacking. The patio is nice, but candidly the inside could use help from an interior designer. So glad we looked this little place up. This small business just celebrated their first anniversary at I can see why they're so popular on Yelp. Their crepes are delicious! And the family that works there is so nice and hospitable. We tried a strawberry and banana crepe with nutella and an Italian crepe. Both were made quickly and the ingredients were fresh. This was a charming and very tasty experience. It was a little difficult to find nestled on the end next to a barber shop, but it was worth the effort circling a few times to find. I had the Koffi crepe which had large circles of sausage strapped with thick slices of bacon. The light amount of Chipotle sauce was a perfect addition to the onions and avocado without overpowering the flavors. The host was courteous and attentive. The shop was quaint and homely. Nestled in Poway, this cozy establishment also offers breakfast, coffee and tea. The produce is locally grown so you can guarantee it will be as fresh as it gets. I went with my good old standby, their strawberry and Nutella crepe and it was divine. Co-habby tried a savory crepe, the chicken pesto and was equally impressed. I got stares from customers for wearing my mask, but I guess that's past for you. They did not look (or smell) sanitary. Wholly Crepe is right! Had a delicious breakfast yesterday morning. When the plate came out, I thought "No way I could finish this!" But it really was good and I killed it all. The chipotle sauce was fire! So yum! They're a small Filipino-owned mom and pop cafe and I'm happy to have stopped in. They also host Open Mic Nights on the 1st & 3rd Friday of the month. I've looked through the reviews, and I'm surprised no one's mentioned the half sized portions you get for full price. We ordered the chicken pesto and two veggie crepes, and they were good. Basic ingredients and tasted fine, but nothing notable. We opened our to go boxes and were shocked at the size. We've had crepes from many places, and these were undoubtedly the smallest portions we've ever been served. They cut a crepe down the middle and made two separate crepes with it. The portion size was fine for my kids, but my husband had to come home and reheat some leftovers. And that's after $40 on three crepes. Not impressed. read more

I love me some crepes and whenever I'm in the mood, I automatically think of coming here. This was the third time I've been here and loved it Every Single Time! Had both sweet and savory when I come here with my boo since we can actually split the dishes . On the savory side, the Italian crepe is with the pesto sauce on top! For sweet, we tried the s'mores and Reese's crepe, both were excellent . They have a small patio with one table where you can sit and enjoy your entree outside. Super cute!! I love this place. Just moved here from NY about 2 weeks ago and I've been here twice now and had a great experience each time. The service is amazing and the food is excellent. Kind of let down by the overall taste and demeanor. Crepe stuffing was super good but you could tell the actual crepes are premade. Drip coffee and coffee drinks were not good - drip coffee has ran out and we had to ask twice for it to be made. Chai latte did not taste like a chai latte. Service wasn't super friendly either. When you walk up the register, the male employee just asks "yes??" With no greeting. read more
